iPhone – a marvelous piece of equipment manufactured by the famous company Apple, features some of the most complex apps that you can find on a smartphone.

When you first put your hand on an iPhone, turn it on and check out what applications are available, even the default ones which the phone gives you pre-installed are useful: Safari, Mail, Facebook, Twitter, etc.

There are both free and paid options to get more apps for the iPhone by using a service called iTunes. Simply plug the iPhone to the computer and it automatically synchs with your iTunes account (Apple gives you a usb cable along the iPhone when you purchase it).

The process of installing apps from iTunes on your iPhone

1st Step:

The first step that you need to do is to make sure you have iTunes installed on your computer. If you don’t have them installed, take a moment and do it (they are free by the way).

Make sure the iPhone that you want to plug in is turned ON and disable the lock that is defaulted on the front screen before plugging it with the cable into the computer. (use the USB cable that Apple provided in the packaging).

2nd Step:

Open iTunes on your computer and make sure that you click on the apps tab that can be found in the info window (the icon can be found in the left menu bar).

3RD Step:

Don’t proceed further to the 3rd step in case you haven’t found a way to do the second step.

The applications that you might want to install depend on what you want to use your iPhone for.

For example, a regular user that only need to use his iPhone for making phone calls and access his mail won’t need to install any kind of application whatsoever.

A non tech savy user that wants to have its iPhone front menu as simplified as possible, won’t even need to try and install additional applications because he simply doesn’t know how to do it and doesn’t even want to find out how to do it.

The third person is the one that needs information on how to access the iTunes, how to transfer the applications on the iPhone and also what applications are the best for certain tasks.

This is the person that you want to be because an iPhone offers so many features and you can’t unlock those features without adding additional applications and customizations.

This being said, let’s proceed to the actual 3rd step:

There should be an application called Sync App Box from which you can choose what applications you want to sync with your iPhone.

There are many filters available like category, names, price, size and really every little bit of information about them.

The applications that are not selected (unchecked) will stay on your computer in an offline mode and they will not be transferred into the iPhone device.

If you want to make this step automatic the next time you plug the iPhone into the computer, there is an option called “automatically sync new applications” that allows you to be worry free of updating applications on your iPhone because the iTunes application will do it for you.

Step 4:

Organizing applications on your smartphone is an easy task even for the regular user because all you need to do is to drag and drop the icons where you want them to appear.

There is also a nice option to create multiple pages on your homepage and populating them is also easy because Apple made this step a drag and drop one so it can be intuitive for anyone.

The gray rectangle which means a blank page will create a new gallery for your applications if you drag something into it.

Step 5:

In case your iPhone model is the 4th generation, you can create application folders that allow you to quickly organize everything on the screen. Simply take an icon and drop it onto another icon to create a nice group in iTunes.
Each group/folder in iTunes can keep a maximum number of 12 applications.

Step 6:

The last step required is to click the Sync button and everything checked should go straight in your iPhone. Finish everything by clicking the Okay to disconnect message that appears when everything is ready.
