Have you ever heard of the term pH balance? It is not something that everyone knows about. Most people know very little about how their body functions, or why they should eat certain foods, and why there are others that they should not eat. Same with liquids that are consumed.

Everything is either acid or alkaline, and the pH is a scale from 1 to 14, which determines the level of acidity, below a 7, or the level of alkaline, above a 7. The blood is very precise in keeping its pH level from 7.35 to 7.45, even if it has to take from other parts of the body to keep that level.

Your body is open to disease when the bloodstream needs to take alkaline substances from the bones or other places. The more acid foods that you eat the worse this problem becomes. If you eat more alkaline foods to balance your body, your energy level will go up.

It is like a car that is using poor quality of gas. It chugs, and pings, and runs sluggishly. That is what happens to the body when inferior food that is too acidic is eaten most of the time.

Have you ever noticed how you feel after eating certain foods? Do you ever want to have a nap after eating? The foods did not give your body energy.

Think about the care you take for your car. Do you treat it special? Do you give it the best gasoline? Do you keep the oil changed? Do you keep it running smoothly by keeping it tuned up? Why do you not do the same for your body?

Is it because you have been told that disease is some kind of mystery, and medicine is the only cure? Do you know that prescription medicines only make your body more acidic? The cause of most disease is having a pH level too far below 7, which damages the immune system, making it difficult to fight off germs and viruses.

The simple solution is to get the pH level above 7 by eating the right foods, and getting rid of anything too acidic.

The life of the body is in the blood. It travels throughout the body bringing nutrients to the cells, and removing waste products. As long as the blood is functioning properly, the body remains healthy.

When the foods no longer have the proper nutrients, the cells become overrun by the poisonous waste products, and no longer give out energy. The enemy causing all of the problems is the acid in the foods people eat.

The body is amazingly complex with its different systems, such as digestion, respiratory, nervous, elimination, and others. The body has a process to remove the waste products. The liver purifies the blood, the kidneys remove waste through urine, the skin removes waste through sweat, and more waste is removed through the colon.

Everything works fine as long as the waste products are at a minimum, but when there are too many acids put into the body, the excess is stored The excess acid starts to attack the alkaline cells. and the more acid that is put into the body, the less chance these cells have of winning the battle. Eventually the cells deteriorate to the point that disease can come in.

The longer you eat acid foods, and the lower your pH balance becomes, the better chance that you will become disease ridden. With the poisons in the air, and the poisons in the water, and the poisons in the food supply,

it will take some work to keep your body having an alkaline balance. But there are ways to do this, and for your long-term health you should start soon. Make a change in your diet. Find a book listing the pH of foods and drinks.

Eliminate alcohol and soda pop, and start drinking more water. Find foods that are more alkaline, and start adding them to your diet. Check your pH level often to see what progress you are making.
