KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead and communicate all issues in pre-shift and cross shift meetingsrnOversee employee job rotation and distribution of work assignments and provide guidance to a team memberrnEnsure each Team Member is performing standardized workrnFollow maintenance procedures for all machines (TPM)rnAssist in coordinating and performing routine changeovers and set-up activities according to production schedule andrncustomer requirementsrnAssist supervisor with overtime schedulingrnConduct daily Layered Process Audits (LPA) and implement corrective actions when requiredrnConduct SPC checks and first offs as per customer requirementsrnEnsure standardized work compliance from all team members including performing error proof checksrnAssist with training and orientation of new employees and maintain the training matrixrnComplete end of shift reporting and ensure work area is standard for the next shiftrnParticipate in and comply with the continuous improvement ideasrnFollow appropriate internal and external escalation procedures whenever a risk to the customer occurs EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: PERFORMANCE MEASURES: Secondary School Diploma or equivalent preferredrnMinimum 3 years related work experience inrnautomotive manufacturing requiredrnAbility to provide guidance, coaching/mentorship tornteam membersrnComputer literate (MS Office-Word, Excel, Outlook)rnOperations Strategy ImplementationrnOperational PrinciplesrnMAFACT ImplementationrnMAFACT Audits CORE COMPETENECIES & SKILLS: Must possess leadership and interpersonal skills and be able to relay instructions clearlyrnMechanically inclinedrnEffective communication, organizational, time management skillsrnUnderstanding of lean manufacturing, an assetrnLicensed forklift operator, an assetrnAble to lift heavy objects specific to the operationrnAbility to understand and operate all mechanical equipment in designated work cellsrnDemonstrated ability to effectively solve problemsrnMust have strong awareness of safetyrnMust be flexible to rotate between jobs
