Are you a religious or spiritual individual? Maybe you’re both or maybe neither, but I believe that these viewpoints play an important role in molding your Identity. As for me, I am still figuring it all out. I can’t tell you how many times I have had serious conversations with my boyfriend, friends, and family members drilling them with questions on different religions and the history of Christianity.

For some reason, I have a difficult time comprehending religion and the stories from the Bible. I grew up going to Sunday School and church, but that stopped after my grandmother passed. I remember we even stopped saying grace before we ate. I don’t blame those instances for my lack of faith; I blame myself for not reading more and educating myself.

I prefer to discuss with others and hear their beliefs. I am extremely fascinated in hearing about all the different practices and faiths. When I hear others talk about their faith and how they are one hundred percent dedicated to their religion, it gives me such a level of respect and a little envy. I wish I could say that I believe one hundred percent that there is a God, but I can’t just yet. I do believe in spirits and that our energy never dies. Just where do we go?

This is a very brave topic for me to share with all of you, but it’s part of who I am, my Identity, and hopefully one day, I will have a strong faith as part of my Identity.

Many laugh at me because of this last statement I am about to share with you, but I do think that I am one of those human beings that needs to see, it to believe it. I have a sixth sense, and growing up I’d see spirits, or shall we say, ghosts. Go ahead; I give you two seconds to giggle. Ha-ha, but on a serious note, yes, I have seen and felt ghosts, and many of them. So, I believe in that one hundred percent. I do believe that I’m not alone in my thoughts, therefore, if you have any thoughts to share, please feel free to post them below in the comments section.

Remember, please don’t judge anybody on their beliefs, as some are still figuring it all out. We all are permitted to have our own beliefs and faiths. Afterall, it’s a part of our identity.
