- The Power Of Thought

All men who have achieved great things have been great dreamers.
- Orison Swett Marden

It is easy to let our minds become weighed down in monotony of everyday life, each of us are guilty of this act. There are many books and guides that teach us a list of steps we can take to improve our lives and be happier. I believe it does not have to be that complicated to achieve a happy frame of mind. We have to look within our own thoughts as they have enormous control over our mood and emotional state. The impact of our repetitive and powerful thoughts can be devastating and create deep anxiety and depression.
Our subconscious mind listens to each negative thought we have and does not question the thought but accepts it as fact.

If the same negative thoughts are continually repeated the subconscious fully accepts the thoughts. This acceptance breeds a cycle of negative patterns of thought that affect not only our state of mind but also our physical body. Our emotions and patterns of thought can lead to anxiety and many physical symptoms of discomfort within the body, headaches, stomach problems, just to name a few.

If we can take control of our thoughts and choose only the positive, eventually our subconscious will accept these new affirmations. Affirmations are our key to a more positive and productive life. If we continue repeating affirmation everyday, we will in time believe and accept what we are saying. Consciously become aware of the negative thoughts and make a determined effort to change these in to positive thoughts. It will be difficult at first but with practice it will become part of your habitual thinking patterns. You will know when this happens as you begin to really feel the experience of the words you are repetitively repeating to yourself.

We cannot always control our thoughts, but we can control our words, and repetition impresses the subconscious, and we are then master of the situation.

Affirmations can be as simple as ‘ My life is full of Happiness today’. There are no right or wrong words, what ever feels good for you. Affirmations must feel powerful and repeated throughout the day at every opportunity. By using these feel good tonics we are allowing our subconscious to accept the words as reality. So repeat and repeat again and allow the good feelings to enrich your emotions, thoughts and state of mind.

Each of us has within us the power to create the lives we truly desire and find peace and fulfilment we seek.
