Ever wonder what separates wealthy people from the average Joe or Jane?

Nothing, really. They’re not any different than the rest of us. They still put their pants on one leg at a time. There’s nothing ‘special’ about them. They don’t have magic powers. They’re not clairvoyant. And they don’t have access to information the rest of us don’t have.

So, why are THEY rich?

Wealthy people have a different mindset. They look at, think about, and treat money differently than the average Joe or Jane.

What does that mean?

Wealthy people EXPECT to have the money they need to accomplish what they want to accomplish. They act as if the money is in their possession, even BEFORE THEY HAVE IT. And they look at money for what it really is: a means to accomplish the tasks needing to be accomplished. Money is not a master, it is not the be-all and end-all of our existence. Money is our servant, to be used, not worshipped and horded.

Money serves two purposes: it makes you comfortable, and it allows you to do good, give back, and accomplish big things. Money is necessary to buy the things needed to accomplish goals, such as creating schools for those that need education, or to buy food to feed the homeless, create shelters, etc. You need money to reach your goals, if for no other purpose than to pay your mortgage, feed your family, and provide the essentials needed for day-to-day living so you can focus on and accomplish your goals.

What does that mean for you?

It means YOU can learn to think about money the way the rich do; to treat money as the rich do; to put money to work for you the way the rich do.

There is a science to having the mindset of the rich. There is a process which you can follow to learn how to think about money the way the rich do, and how to approach the earning of money the way the rich do. It’s not rocket science, but it IS a science.

Wallace D. Wattles shared this process in his book “The Science of Getting Rich”. It was this book that inspired many of our great leaders in the arena of self-improvement and prosperity. And it was the inspiration for the ground-breaking movie “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne.

It is a process that can be learned and followed by ANYONE who is ready to take the next step towards prosperity.

In “The Science of Getting Rich”, Wattles writes:

“There is a Science of getting rich, and it is an exact science, like algebra or arithmetic. There are certain laws which govern the process of acquiring riches; once these laws are learned and obeyed by any man, he will get rich with mathematical certainty.”

He also talks about everyone’s right to be rich.

“Whatever may be said in praise of poverty, the fact remains that it is not possible to live a really complete or successful life unless one is rich. No man can rise to his greatest possible height in talent or soul development unless he has plenty of money; for to unfold the soul and to develop talent he must have many things to use, and he cannot have these things unless he has money to buy them with.”

“There is nothing wrong in wanting to get rich. The desire for riches is really the desire for a richer, fuller, and more abundant life; and that desire is praiseworthy. “

What is this Science? It’s thinking things in a certain way. It’s living life in a certain way. It’s approaching your day-to-day tasks in a certain way.

One important part of doing things in a Certain Way, is to give the impression of increase with everything you do, to everyone you meet. Give them more in value than you ask for them in payment or return service. Treat everyone as if they are the most important person on earth, because in that moment, to them, they ARE the most important person on earth. Make it “all about them”.

If you’re meeting with someone for business, don’t talk about what you do, or what you need. Find out about them. What do THEY do? What do THEY need? Find out what they need, then help them get it. Even if it has nothing to do with your business or service, they will remember you and your assistance. And when the time comes they DO need your services, they will gladly call you and work with you.

So, remember the three things we talked about today:

o you have a RIGHT to be rich
o there is a SCIENCE to getting rich
o give people more than you ask in return
