Presently, almost all of us, including kids, are likely to spend our time on mobiles. Most parents are worried about what their kids are surfing online. To sort out this, a new startup L1ght was formulated that uses artificial intelligence to filter and detect hazardous online posts. L1ght startup will track the kids and protect them from online toxicity.

Zohar Levkovitz, L1ght CEO, urged the development of this anti-toxic startup while living in California. He was personally exposed to a significant number of teenage self-harm issues because of social networks and online gaming sites. Every platform and system needs to offer a safe environment to all the users, especially kids. For doing this, he decided to develop the most advanced technology.

Who Exactly Is Zohar Levkovitz?

Zohar Levkovitz was once recorded as an Entrepreneur of the year in California. The champion was formerly the co-founder of Amobee, the world’s world’s leading independent advertising platform. This platform unifies all advertising channels-including programmatic and social- across all devices and formats. However, Zohar sold the company at $350million to SingTel in 2012.

Currently, Zohar owns the L1ght company- the startup that saves children from online toxicity. The main motto of the startup is to alert the authorities and parents about potential threats. He ensures that the internet is being used for the desired purposes like- connecting people, driving humanity forward, and sharing ideas. Let us explore L1ght deeper!

How Are Some Online Contents Hazardous For Children?

According to Zohar Levkovitz, “The time that children are exposed to online content decides the amount of online toxicity and predatory behavior they are exposed to” €. The number of children exposed to hazardous content is continually rising. Around 83 % of the children are being exposed to cyberbullying, and out of 3 kids, more than one is receiving online threats. And, 9-10 % of the kids have attempted or thought about suicide.

These statistics will be quite surprising for almost all of us, and even big firms were not able to reverse this situation.

Why L1ght?

To help and reverse this trend, Zohar decided to create an Artificial intelligence-based platform. The AI-based platform is capable of detecting cyberbullying, predatory behavior, hazardous contents, and will give social network providers an intimation or tool to remove their contents from the platforms.

How Does an AI-based Platform Work?

As mentioned before, L1ght is an anti-toxicity platform designed to filter and detect dangerous online content. The L1ght offers API to all the hosting providers, social networks, multiplayer games, and other online sites. The customer’s back end will be linked with this AI platform, and it works directly with those networks to detect and remove harmful content on their platforms.

L1ght is designed with the use of the proprietary algorithm, and its unique ability to understand the online interaction and conversation context makes it reliable and sophisticated in the market. In addition to the text, it also scans images, videos, and audio recordings to identify the harmful contents. With this platform, if an individual is continuously kicked out of the group, chat can also be monitored.

Features of the product developed by Zohar Levkovitz will be varied according to the needs of the clients and services offered by them. Say, for instance, in case of messaging service; we can design a product to detect whether its shaming or cyberbullying.

Since Zohar personally had gone through many teenage self-harm incidents and so he wants to stop all these harmful activities just by tracking the online sites. Finally, he ends up in developing an end-to-end solution for mitigating and detecting online toxicity-L1ght, an innovative algorithm based on an AI platform.

Final Thoughts

According to Zohar Levkovitz, online toxicity cannot be entirely eradicated with this measure alone. Lot more things need to be done to protect and safeguard kids from dangerous online platforms and networks. Because of technological advancement, new messaging platforms, social networks, and gaming sites are emerging and this eventually increases the risk rates. ““To meet the demands, the efforts of the entrepreneurs and technologists need to be improvised,”” says Zohar Levkovitz.
