CAREER SERVICES EXPERIENCE:

Graduate Intern at La Salle University Career and Employment Services Office: 2014 – Present

Employer Relations:

• Conducted relationship building activities with over 100 new employers and saw an approximate 10% yearly growth in employer career fair attendance.
• Discovered and researched approximately 140 unique leadership/management development programs to enhance career opportunities for current students and recent alumni.
• Utilized the Experience Network to create an online resume book system for full-time MBA students.
• Conducted employer outreach requesting them to join the new resume book system as well as to gain their participation for future career fairs.

Career Counseling and Operations:

• Facilitated daily walk-in hours for undergraduate students that included resume and cover letter reviews, job search and networking techniques, and other career-related topics.
• Assisted in conducting and logging the Class of 2013 Outcomes Assessments.
• Aided in preparing and hosting the Spring and Fall 2014 Career Fairs at La Salle University.
• Worked with La Salle faculty in the School of Business to confirm that the office is meeting their students’ needs.
• Participated in webinars and meetings to gain knowledge regarding the operations of a career services office.
• Shadowed career counselors during their sessions with students and recent alumni.

International Students:

• In the process of developing an expertise serving international students.
• Researched and interacted with Philadelphia-area companies that would be willing to sponsor La Salle students for their H-1B visa which is required for post-graduation employment in the United States.
• Conducted research supporting the development of a planned webpage to meet the career-related needs of La Salle’s international students.
• Evaluated and made recommendations regarding new online resources specifically designed for international students that La Salle’s Career and Employment Services Office had not previously utilized.

OTHER PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Life Insurance Financial Representative – Independently Contracted: 2006 – Present

• Create and maintain viral and physical marketing plans for generating and increasing client base.
• Manage pending and existing accounts for personal life insurance and annuity production totaling over $1 million in annual premium and approximately $500 million in death benefits.
• Prospect clients via social media, market research, telecommunications, and networking.
• Analyze and evaluate each client’s personal situations in order to develop a thorough recommendation.
