There was a time, not so long ago, when international e-commerce was not for the weary hearted. Dealing with multiple currency issues, bank transfers, non-local credit card billing addresses and other payment issues made the process complicated and unattractive. Yuval Tal, who has been involved in secure, currency exchange Internet commerce-related technologies and high-tech for over twenty years, co-founded two successful start-ups geared towards facilitating international internet transactions. He also holds two patents for related systems and methods.
The first company that Yuval Tal co-founded was E4X. Inc., which was at the forefront of international e-commerce. The company, which is currently called FiftyOne Global E-Commerce, attracted customers looking for a safe, efficient online payment system. It was one of the first companies to offer an efficient method for international e-commerce. Today, it is valued at over $500 million. Payoneer, which Tal founded in 2005, utilizes pre-paid MasterCard® cardsfor completing online transactions. The transactions are both secure and private, which makes Payoneer’s offering very attractive to its members, which includes online businesses. Payoneer, which is based in New York, employs more than 100 technology and financial expert employees.
Prior to launching E4X, Inc. in 1999, Tal was CEO of R-U-Sure, Ltd., and vice-president of business development at Radware, which is traded on NASDAQ. Today, in addition to heading Payoneer, he also provides consultation services to Payments-r-us, which is a company that helps its customers find free payment solutions which fit their needs. Payments-r-us is the brain-child of four e-commerce experts who provide a variety of e-commerce related services to their clients.
