I am a retired mechanical engineer. Because of health issues, I have been giving care to my wife who has multiple sclerosis now for more than 20 years. Since then, I naturally became seriously involved in news about medical research. My scientific training though still serves me well, since I undestand what makes a research work sound footed. Since I am consumer oriented, my posts are about work the public can relate to... My goal is the provide the medical consumer (i.e. the sick and their family caregivers) with serious information they can discuss with their medical practitionners.
For this, I have created one website: www.careresourceguide.com
with 5 interwoven blogs constituting my Medical News Digest:
Management of existing chronic conditions: http://careresourceguide.com/In_Focus/
Medical Research: http://careresourceguide.com/Research_Cure/
Alternative Medicine, Nutrition, Environmental Toxicology: http://www.careresourceguide.com/alternativemedicine/
