The day begins with a frantic grasp for an irritating alarm clock. The moment our eyes open we are confronted by an intimidating "To Do" list. Apologies in advance. Don’t want to brag. Last week I gave a silly grin of pride. Yes, shameless pride at my four-year-old granddaughter. In those delicate hands, she held her Mom’s cell phone. And in seconds, she managed on her own, to text a message to her other grandma. The message read: “Alyssa qwert7iopasdkdlf.” Grandma texted back, “Alyssa, it’s you. Historians confirm the ram as the Medes and Persians conquered by Alexander the Great, but that was not the time of the end. The unsealed meaning is a double application for Daniel's prophecies—once in history, and again in end-times when the Medes and Persians are geographically Iraq and Iran.

Knowing our human make-up and how we function as living entities will perhaps help us to approach life differently and more successfully. Man is an earthbound spirit living through a physical body. The components of the human spirit are the heart, mind, word and soul. The latter, however, embraces the former three. Summary: The book of Daniel supports Jewish Aliyah, but also offers a time-frame for it that is overlooked. This is based on the double application of Daniel, once in history and again in our time. In Daniel 8:17, Gabriel tells Daniel that the ram and goat (chazown) “vision conce s the time of the end.” Historians confirm the application in verses 20,21 where “The two-ho ed ram that you saw represents the kings of Media and Persia. The shaggy goat is the king of Greece, and the large horn between its eyes is the first king.”

Summary: Five biblical signs, not to mention our severe weather or failing economy, are ominous for 2016. Fleeing the cities is suggested by five biblical models. Most Bible scholars agree with a 7-year apocalyptic period, like the 7 years of famine in Joseph's time or the 7 years that King Nebuchadnezzar ate grass while his kingdom was humbled in Daniel 4—the book recommended by Christ when asked about the end of the age in Matthew 24.r
