We are all meant for something; that is what is real in life. When this thing we are meant for is not part of us, not with us, that is when we are at a loss in life, in our careers, and in our personal lives. All of this is connected, for when we connect to what we are meant for, where we are meant to be, and in the end who we are meant to be with, that is truth. That is our inspiration and that is how we really live our lives. We all can find this; we can find our home in the life that is in our heart and a connection to it that is real.

It is said that laughter is the best medicine, but I am not sure. I am finding that laughter without joy is just distraction, a way to wash away the overwhelming emotion that sometimes grips me. What I am discovering is that joy is what moves mountains for me. The joy of seeing acts of random kindness, where suddenly someone so distraught is saved by another person just caring. Not someone fixing, someone guiding, but the simple act of someone sitting next to another so they
There can be times in life where we feel like we are not up to the challenge, lost, or in need. We tend to look elsewhere for comfort, acceptance, and for our desires to be met. However, unde eath it all we are really looking to ourselves for self-acceptance so that we can fully see our potential. Do you believe you can do anything, that you are worthy of everything, and that you can be everything you want to be? If you answered no to any of these questions, then perhaps you already know you lack some self-confidence or need to strengthen it in yourself. How does one do this?
Ordinarily, we donât see from a non-dual perspective. Thatâs whatâs eluding us, and thatâs what weâre yearning for. Weâre yearning to be closer to truth, closer to reality, to God, to nature, to our true nature, to our self, to others. Itâs as if weâve frozen our self into a solid chunk of ice, taken the natural, fluid flow of the universe and frozen it, and called it âmy self.â Then we start relating with other chunks of ice and we want intimacy, we want
Contemplation of our existence is primordial; it is forever within our consciousness. It is part us to question where we come from, who we are, where we are going, and what is really important in our lives. We may think that we are living how we are meant to; holding onto the idea that what we were given in this life is all that we are meant for. But what if this wasn’t true? What if there is more out there for you, beyond today and what you are doing in this life? What if there was a connection to be made that required no thought, but excited your heart and who you really are?
We often go through life feeling like we are floating along, waiting for something real to happen and show us who we are and what we are meant for. But what happens when time keeps going by? Are you meant to be satisfied with your existence even if you still feel like you are waiting? Of course not, that feeling is you being in need of more. Of needing to not only connect with your true self, but to do what you are meant to in this life. When you find that, and can exist from this place, it is so unbelievably powerful.
We often find in life that we are always seeking wealth, that we always need more, that somewhere around the corner we will find the excess we are looking for. There must be more money to be had, more wealth to be made, that we never have enough. Always looking, always seeking for more, leads us to feeling empty. Of course we believe we could all be happy with just a little bit more money. That to be fantastically wealthy would open all the doors we need. But the truth of the matter is that always seeking for this leads to disappointment.
Throughout our lives we may come to points where we ask why are we here, what are we meant for? We may look this question in the eye, wonder for a bit, and then move on. For to ask, you need to know, how does one go about succeeding at this? Where do you gain your own personal knowledge about your jou ey here?
The way we look at ourselves has a lot to do with our happiness. If you believe in yourself, see yourself as acceptable, you will have an easier time being you. When you look outside of yourself for acceptance this leads to failure and low self-esteem. We all tend to believe, at one time or another, that if we were just a little more this or a little less that we could be happy. If only your hair was different or your body more like something else.
When we are in a relationship we often have a hard time seeing the bigger picture, for under all the emotions and thoughts is the purpose for you being together. We are brought together with another person to find balance and love, not struggle, resentment, and confusion. Often we let the parts we fight against crowd out the truth of the relationship. We begin to not see why we are together but why we shouldn’t be.
Theft isnât something that should be funny to anyone. If you have stolen anything in the past, then you should put time into thinking about the gravity of the whole thing. You should do anything and everything you can to show that you regret your actions as well. Taking full responsibility may help you feel like a new person. Accept Your Punishment Owning up to things that youâve done that are wrong can be extremely tough. Itâs something that you have to do, however. If
As we go through life, we tend to add up what has happened to us, what has gone wrong, and how we made it through it. We take and add up what has come before and hold onto it, instead of letting go of it. Therefore, by adding up our troubles, our mistakes, and our problems, we are creating a closet full of discontent, not only in our minds but in our hearts as well. By adding the pressure of what came before onto today, we are then waiting for more to come. Our body feels this, as does our mind.
As Einstein said time is a stubborn illusion. In our daily lives, time is probably the most experienced certainty and worldly reality. There is no more precious entity than time. Even those who have acquired enormous wealth, power, and fame, suffer from the absolute scarcity of time. All those who have been victorious in worldly battles have lost to or will ultimately be defeated by time â it is only a matter of time.nnTime is a relative reality experienced by the body and
Often in life we find we are not being who we truly are, that we are holding something back, a feeling that we are not fully connected to what we are as a person. It is like we are going through life as someone else, playing a role and not being true to who we really are. Often the truth of who we are escapes us unintentionally and we do not fully understand where or why we lost ourselves.
Personal growth is about reaching a place that is a new you, the real you. It is about releasing parts of you that you no longer need and finding out about who you really are. To achieve any kind of growth is to find what is holding you back and then what you need to do to set it free. Becoming who you are and letting go of what is old is one step. Realizing that you can change is another. We so often hold ourselves back in life because we have accepted who we are.
Question: I have recently, Nov 15-08 to be exact, had enlightenment bestowed on me. It was an explosive experience, I felt timelessness, shapelessness, my DNA activate, pure love, peace and joy - An incredible experience that brought me to my knees in tears. I truly had no idea of what it's all about. This experience was not premeditated, that is - I was not working towards enlightenment - in fact, I was unaware that any such thing existed. I have changed my life almost entir
"If there's a hell below we all gonna go". Lyrics composed and added to a melody backed with a very rhythmic bass line. The type of musical track that creeps into one's consciousness whenever the song is considered. Curtis Mayfield was the prolific composer.nnWhen I think of this tune in relations to the state of the minds of todays youth. "Live your beliefs and you can turn the world around." –Henry David Thoreau- Imagine over 100 years ago this was a personal belief of Henry David Thoreau, and now today in our enlightenment many of us are just becoming aware of this truth that he knew then. A true great master in perfect form and enlightenment. Find your beliefs, expand your beliefs, practice your beliefs, share your beliefs and live your beliefs. As each of us do this, one then ten then a hundred then thou
When we go through life sometimes we create an idea of ourselves, one which may not correlate to who we truly are, but only fits with what we think we are. There can be an imbalance between the two, that one outweighs the other. How do you find yourself when you have created layers of supposition and false reality upon yourself? By going within and realizing you can accept yourself for who you truly are, with nothing else. You do not need acceptance from another. It your acceptance of yourself, your true self, that is real and powerful.
I recently finished a ten-day meditation retreat, a deeply enriching experience and one full of all kinds of insights and breakthroughs. But of all the many things that struck me during those powerful days of silence and stillness, one in particular really hit home ⦠and left me privately chuckling behind my meditative mask. My mind is like my mother. Yes, itâs true. But donât get me wrong; Iâm not talking about Freud here. I donât mean that my mind is like my âsu
Acceptance is about letting go and releasing any and all battles with the truth of the moment. Acceptance is forgiveness, it is being who you really are, and it is letting everything else be just as it is. When we release the unending battle with the truth of reality, we open ourselves up to be who we really are in the moment that we are in. By accepting everything we see and allowing it to be, we are then free of struggle in our lives.
Perception or truth, which dominates your reality more strongly, which is more present in how you relate to the world and even yourself? We can all exist in both or more heavily in one or the other. If we fall too heavily on our own perceptions, we become clouded, our judgment is altered, and our emotions are presented in a way that is further from the truth of what is real. In order to know whether or not you come from a place that is purely your perception or truth is to ask whether or not you are seeing clearly.
Understanding your siblings can be hard for we often have ideas of who they are based on our childhood and our connections with them. We may not see the real person they are or have become. Instead, we come from a place of relating to them as if they are still the same person in our memories. We see them as we wish they were or how we have already decided they are. You can see that because of the close and often emotional ties one has with their family, the reality of who our siblings are can be different from how we see them.

Happiness and joy are our natural state, but people often then question, “why isn't that my experience now?” We don't experience our natural state, because of the bad mental habits and beliefs that we learned while growing up. Look at young children. Happiness and joy perpetually shine from their faces, except when hungry or hurt or a diaper needs changing. Say a young child falls and hurts a knee. The child will cry, and mommy will kiss it and make the boo-boo go away. Minutes later, the child is happy again like nothing happened.
Many of your big and small decisions are working to get you where you are today. So, your future depends on the decision you make today. That the future can be peaceful, it can be regrettable. But we do not want to live with regret. What are regrets: Suppose you go to your friend's wedding party on the train tonight. It took exactly one hour to get to the station from home. But you could not reach the station on time as there was a lot of traffic jam. The train left you and s

Staying clear in the moment is giving up on the idea of trying to manage it. It is letting go of any control and allowing yourself and the moment to exist just as it is. With control there is a fight and when this occurs, we are betraying ourselves; we are letting ourselves be controlled. To be free of this is to give up on the fight; it is to lay it down and to cease the act of trying to manage everything. To be free, to simply exist, means to truly let go of any sense that the moment should be any different than what it is.

The Eastern paths of spirituality are all in agreement that our original sin is ignorance. What we are ignorant of is who we are. We have a false idea of our identity. Simply by overcoming that false idea, we are immediately transported into a different energy field. It is as if we are traversing an inter-dimensional portal. Crossing the boundaries of the ego identity enables us to be in a much vaster field of Being, a field of grace.nnThe more that gateway is open to you, op
Awakening to your true self is like opening up to the truth. It is finding what you are meant for, where you should go, and what to do with your life. It is knowing from within all that matters and what is real. It is your truth that is most evident and that is pouring forth in your day to day life, not with just big decisions, but in all moments of your existence. How do you get there, how do you find what everyone is looking for--your truth, your real self?
I know it has been a while ago but in 2009 the Chinese festival of lights (Mid Autumn festival, lantern festival) came to the Netherlands and landed in a Zoo in Emmen. We went to see it and I just wanted to write a little history about the festival. The historians are not 100% sure when it started but they are sure it is a very old festival. Most of them are reasonably sure it is a harvest festival that dates back more then 3000 years to the moon worshiping that happened in t

We live in a bipolar world, and because of that, we have been taught to avoid one of the poles â the evil, and to aim for the other one â the good (according to our impressions about good and evil). They form under the influence of the philosophical and moral points of view that our parents, teachers, communities, religions etc. give us. Due to this, every time when we say to ourselves âI am a good person (educated, honest, fair, a Christian etc.)â, we develop in our
The world is in utter distress today, and if the young generation grows up to bring good relief and peace in this world, what an incredible achievement that would be, isnât it?! But while we are hoping the young generation to reach out to the world to make it a better place to live in, the statistics from across the board are confirming and reconfirming the fact that the burden of depression among Indian students is rising at a very high pace indeed. How can a depressed per
In Akram Vignan, spiritual awakening, also known as Self-realisation and enlightenment, are understood uniquely. Here is an explanation of their meanings and experiences within the context of Akram Vignan: Spiritual Awakening (awareness of the Self): In Akram Vignan, spiritual awakening is referred to as "waking up to the knowledge of who am I." It is the initial phase where an individual becomes aware of their true nature as a pure Soul separate from the mind, body, and ego.

Here is what the Russian woman's sister Maria told us: â¾ï¸ Kira and Igor were detained after a trip to Russia for treatment. 60 heavily armed police officers arrived to arrest them.
