We don’t open until 7:30,” turned and went back. My friend assured me he will find a new oil change shop. If you’re the owner or manager, how do you find out about such experiences? When business drops?

Some call it serendipity, some call it luck, and others may call it divine intervention; but, this investing creates a balance. Investors create an asset by putting value into others. Internally, we are all aware of this. That’s why we happily give to charities and other non-profit organizations. That’s why we support causes. We know it works that way. Give More Than You Take

Every time I’ve picked up the guitar to play or practice I’ve first had to tune it. Then there is the varied humidity during the summer months, which makes the string tensions more varied than at other times of the year. If I don't tune it, it's off-key. Leading people is a lot like tuning a guitar. Each string has to be adjusted differently. Some are very far out of tune while others just need a slight tweak to get them back. This morning with the guitar hanging from my neck I looked down at the tuner on the edge of the guitar’s body and began to test and adjust each string.

"I'm the Boss!" Does the statement sound familiar to you? Is this what you would say to get your people to listen to you? If it is, I'm afraid this does not augur well for your leadership. It’s as if having to tell your children “I'm your father!” so that they would respect you as a parent. Something is missing in the link. In the definition of Lao Tzu: The best leaders are those the people hardly know exist. The next best is a leader who is loved and praised. Next comes

He may challenge you directly on this point or may quietly sabotage and delay changes that he does not approve of. So how can you handle the Workers’ Champion type successfully so that he cooperates with you and your goal is achieved?

Even more importantly (and more stressful), how many times have you had to pick up the slack for someone else who has apparently made the decisio NOT to do something they promised to do,
The death of Michael Jackson recently was a tragic event. No matter what you thought of Michael personally, there is no doubt that he was one of the most talented entertainers of all time. His singing and dancing talent showcased so effectively by his performance in the video and album “Thriller” will be remembered forever as the Capstone of his career. I, like millions of his fans, mou his passing. However, the one thing that I remember the most is his invention of the “Moonwalk”.

Organizational Environment Today, large organizations are extremely complex and busier than ever. Use Silence as a Leadership Strategy Silence, yes, silence, is a powerful leadership tool. There are many adages about silence such as “he who speaks first loses,” or “silence is golden” which comes from a longer phrase “speech is silver, silence is golden,” placing a much greater value on silence, not just the spoken word. Recent research by New York University’s Ste School of Business Department of Management and Organizational Behavior shows that the workforce is remaining

Bill Parcells, of the New York Jets knows better than most that being a head coach in the National Football League, though exciting and rewarding when you win, also takes a heavy personal toll. The following story is laminated and on the wall in his office. It's called "The Coaches" and the author is unknown. "The coach has nowhere to hide. He cannot just let the job go for a while or do a bad job and assume no one will notice, as most of us can. He cannot satisfy everyone.
Ultimately, a leader who shows that he cares is good for the organization. Some critics may write this off as being touchy-feely, but people are people and an organization is made up of many, many emotional people. A leader has to find a way to show his followers that he cares about them. In fact, showing that you care about your followers is not only necessary, it’s a requirement. Followers don’t really care about how much you know, until they know how much you care.
