People really have trouble at times getting their head around coaching. As pure coaching as a discipline is new to a lot of people, let’s see if this analogy from my school-Rhema International- rings some bells. There have always been coaches; we just don’t know how many we are ...

Its cliched but so true! It is also true that when the going gets tough, the toughest thing to do is to become tough. I so understand you! I am totally with you on this one. Today I share with you, things that can help you become TOUGH: T – Take some time off to think constructively
I was 27. I had just passed the bar and was excited about making my first court appearance. It was a whole new world. I was sitting and observing, waiting for my case to be called. I was watching the "pros." Molly Pinkston was one of them. She walked to the podium with the help of a cane. She was in her sixties, with red hair and a blue hat that accentuated her look. I don't remember exactly what she said but it was the way she said it, with her unique phrasing and cadence, that had an effect on me even to this day.

With everything going on in the world, from politics to the economy, to life's stressors, it is important to take a break from it all. I prefer calling it taking a "vacation from your life". My husband and I and our children are going to Disney World this week, and it could not have come at a ...
You can usually spot a highly creative person because they are usually starting too many projects at once or often paralysed. Time management frequently bedevils creative types. Whether it’s keeping focused on projects or just getting the stuff of life done, a bubbling cauldron of chaos is usually close at hand. Being creative myself, I’ve struggled with my own three-headed hydra: disorganization, distraction and bedlam. I’ve spent entire days wandering down blind alleys, doing things I really don’t have to do, goofing off and generally being unproductive.

The Importance of Taking Action No Matter What - Just Do It Its been a while since I wrote. Hope all is wonderfully in your world. As we enter the last quarter of the year, thought it was time for an email and some sharing. Lately I've noticed that people are already saying things like "Leave it to next year", "Tomorrow", etc and I want to say today is, please don't wait! Tomorrow Never Comesr There is no truer statement than tomorrow never comes (aside from "we all pay taxes!"). You can't plan to be happy tomorrow, that's in your power to decide right here, right now.

For many, January has a special magic to it. It's the fresh start of a new year--a beginning. The calendar is blank and many embrace the idea of commencing the year with shiny goals, resolutions or intentions. February doesn't usually feel quite so fresh or exciting. If you've started something new, you might be bumping up against the things that have made it difficult to succeed in the past.
Well-apparently we all do, if we want to achieve our goals and live our best life.
Hiring new employees is a very different experience for different companies. In some cases, there are challenges because of diversity issues and cases in which there are conce s about whether or not the fit will be right - especially when the company is hiring someone younger to lead a department rather than looking to those employees who have been with the business. In other cases, however, it is remarkably easy to transition new employees into the workplace, and often this is the direct result of having employee mentoring programs put into place.
Have you ever seen ants marching in search of food? They just follow one another in an almost endless game that seems to drone on and on. Does your life feel like an ant's life – as if you're going from day to day, doing the same thing, the same way, and nothing ever changes? If so, then there's a very good probability you're not living consciously. Conscious living is being aware of your life and the things you're doing. It's about taking the time to stop and smell the roses so you can see where you fit into the whole picture.
When I was three years old, my adoptive mother was holding me as we stood in line at the grocery store. A gentleman in front of us turned and said what a pretty little girl I was…I then replied with, “no I’m not…I’m adopted.” Being adopted weighed on my shoulders for decades. Rejection and abandonment coursed through my veins. My adopted fathers’ rejection…and the words “if you don’t behave yourself, we’ll take you back and get another baby...” haunted my core being.
I was sitting in the cockpit for T/O and landing and I observed the First Officer take out the T/O and landing Checklist and read it out aloud. How many times have our captains and First Officers taken off and landed planes? But every time they still refer to a checklist. Even though they ...
Do you think happiness is a state that only a few can achieve? Does Happiness feel like an unending quest that you find yourself on? I believe that a person has never reached true success if he has never felt real happiness. So many people think that happiness only comes after the success, but I believe that happiness comes first. Why Do We Have to Be Happy? I think Happiness is your birth right, it is available to each and every one of us.
If there is one quality that you will need to ensure that your lead generation and appointment setting campaign is to succeed, it is by having people that have an entrepreneurial spirit. Yes, you will need people who have this quality, and they do not have to be the owners or the leaders of your business. They might be the people that work hard to get sales leads for you. Or, they might be the ones that work in a telemarketing company  that you have outsourced your sales

Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. ~ Phil. 4:6-7 How easy it is to succumb to emotion, to surrender to the feelings that overwhelm and threaten us. How hard it is to give up our selfishness and move forward into peace and victory. Yet that’s what it is – selfishness. “I feel this way, and everyone else is wrong. I hurt so it doesn’t matter how you feel.”
My clients are generally the biggest of the big in their respective industries. Each of them has created massive success. Yet the process they used to get there often seems inapplicable to the other aspects of life like happiness or peace. The process is the same. You must create structures, systems, disciplines and processes that make your happiness automatic. Here are three tips that will start you on this process. 1. Gratitude. The Drunk Monkey (my nickname for the mind) is designed to look for what is wrong and try to fix it, kill it or avoid it.
Complaints are normal. Everyone complains. If you listen to the random thoughts in your head, which I call The Drunk Monkey, you will hear thousands of complaints a day. It’s natural. Complaints are aspects of your experience that The Drunk Monkey disagrees with. Life happens, people do things and your brain says, “That should not be that way!” The truth is, that complaining is a survival mechanism. Since complaints describe that which you believe is not good, complaints are a way of identifying potential threats and avoiding them.
According to recent data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) the number of teen pregnancies are falling to 40.4 births per 1,000 women aged 15-19 years. While those statistics are good news, they don't really mean much to a family ...
There is no doubt that customer satisfaction plays a key role on how businesses develop quality products and keep revenue coming. This explains why it is important for a company to implement effective methods for communicating with their customers. This way, they could remain current with what consumers say about them. An entrepreneur who has a clear understanding of how vital consumer communication is would definitely want to improve the existing practices and policies with regards to customer communication. So how can customer communication affect your business?
Money is not a bad thing at all, of course. It only becomes evil when you start to make earning and accumulating a lot of money your purpose and goal in life. So is making money the main reason you are alive? You would initially say “Of course not!” This seems like a really easy question to answer, but if you try to take a closer look at your own goals and dreams, you may be surprised to find out that money is indeed what’s driving you to do whatever it is that you do.
The other day I met up with a friend of mine for breakfast. As we were chatting and catching up, the conversation of teenage girls came up and she mentioned that her high school aged daughters were experiencing some difficult times in school. It seems that one of her daughter’s friends has taken up a practice that is becoming more and more prevalent in our teens these days.

If we truly want to live a happier life, we must dig deep and learn to forgive. Forgiveness is the most precious treasure that we can give ourselves and each other. When we are willing to take responsibility for forgiveness, we are guaranteed a life of peace, gratitude, wisdom, expansion and growth. If not, we are destined to a life of blame, resentment, pain, self pity, guilt and anger.
I stopped smoking myself on a Christmas morning more than 20 years ago with no planning, and no side effects. This was after many years of smoking up to 3 packs a day. It was a miracle, and I know that God orchestrated a Divine Healing for me. I also know that my subconscious mind planned it for ...
If you are currently searching for a job, you must have searched the internet for tips on how you can have a successful job interview. It is also likely that you have read various materials regarding the important job interview etiquette. Most of the elements of proper etiquette during job interviews may not matter much to you. However, it is these little things that can help you have a good and positive impression with the hiring manager or human resource personnel conducting the interview.
Attitude. A great word and it reflects in every aspect of our lives! "And we have ceased fighting anything or anyone -- even alcohol (or other addictions or destructive behaviour). For by this time sanity will have returned. We will seldom be interested in liquor (Or old behaviours). If tempted, we recoil from it as from a hot flame. We react sanely and normally, and we will find that this has happened automatically. We will see that our new attitude toward liquor (an others negative living habits) has been given us without any thought or effort on our part. It just comes!
No matter where we are from or what has happened to us, each one of us deals with grief throughout our life. There is the grief that comes with the loss of a loved one and there is grief that is a necessary response to what we may carry with us from our childhood. There is also grief as a result of changes in our lives such as relocation, birth of a child, or a new job. This grief is there regardless of whether the change is inherently one that we are happy about or not; all change implies some degree of loss. In fact, the experience of grief is necessary to our overall health and wellbeing.
Although many people find nothing wrong with the practice of taking home unfinished work, many also don’t like the idea of letting work intrude their personal lives. If you consider home as an extension of your workplace, it is likely that you won’t be able to reach your full potential. It is also a misconception that being productive means being willing to let go of your free time just to complete your unfinished tasks. Below are the reasons you should never bring home your unfinished work: 1. You’re going to bring home spilled over problems.

ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT After a number of recent conversations and happenings, coupled with self reflection, I think the biggest change in my life over the past number of years has been an attitude adjustment. Years ago, it was far too easy to fall into the negative. One of my symptoms was frequently knocking others, finding the bad in them. Another was a sense of gloom that could take over the sunniest day. The gloom through me frequently into procrastination, I just couldn’t get things done unless my back was against a wall, and even then I was often late with “stuff”.r

CHASING HAPPINESS? “One is happy as a result of one's own efforts, once one knows the necessary ingredients of happiness — simple tastes, a certain degree of courage, self denial to a point, love of work, and, above all, a clear conscience. Happiness is no vague dream, of that I now feel certain.”-George Sand-19th Century female French novelistr I came upon a part of this George Sand quote in one of my daily readings and in exploring who George Sand was, came upon the whole quote.r
It was an impulse purchase...and a shining example of why I don't go into big box stores like Costco. Whenever I do, I walk out with a mega-cart brimming with items I didn't intend to buy. On this occasion, I got about 20 feet inside the front door when lo, verily, it arose before me...[insert angel choir here]...a tower of Roombas. Box after box of those robot vacuum cleaners that look like they belong in Wall-E.
Have you ever heard the expression,” Quit banging your head against the wall!” It’s an old expression my Mom used that basically translates into: There are certain things we do that are as productive and healthy as banging your head against the wall. The interesting thing about the banging-your-head-against-the-wall, hereafter known as HBS, is its tendency to repeat itself.
I remember back in 2003 when I finished reading "The Da Vinci Code", Adam and I had a great conversation about the book and our different interpretations of its meaning. What I recall was how strongly I felt about the power of female energy. I said to Adam "Can you imagine what our world would be like now if our History were governed and led by women?" Think about that for a moment . . . We all have characteristics of both the male and female energy in us. Female energy is nurturing, the energy of Home, oneness, and the inner aspect of things.
Your body is a phenomenal piece of work. Not only does it carry you through your days in this world, it has functions that you rarely think about or perhaps don't even know about. Your Body, the Living Pendulum For example, did you know that you can use your body as a pendulum? Not only is it easy and simple to do, it's quite accurate. Here's how you do it: 1. Put your feet together. This is to give you a less stable base. You want your body to be able to easily and freely move back and forth. 2. Ask your question or state a choice you're considering.r
