Coming under the umbrella term of ‘Energy Psychology’, these techniques engage the mind and body simultaneously, and create rapid personal transformation on both a physical and emotional level. These sessions took place in 1993. Joe's problems were Anorexia - having gone from 13 stone (182 pounds) to 8 stone (112 pounds) over a 9-month period, extreme anxiety, panic attacks and self-harming behaviour. Reactions to trauma follow a cyclical and often perpetual pattern, flowing from intrusive and arousal to avoidance reactions. Intrusive and arousal reactions bring the traumatic experience into one’s awareness. But being exposed to elements of the trauma is frightening, overwhelming, terrifying and at times socially embarrassing. Therefore, one often tries to bury anything connected with the trauma. These attempts at erasing aspects of the trauma are called avoidance reaction

I’ve learned during the past 20 years that almost all of us on planet earth have experienced some kind of trauma or loss, now more commonly recognized as POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER (PTSD). We become trauma victims when we experience natural disasters, murder, suicide, gang fights, robbery, car accidents, rapes, riots, terrorism, war and yes, child abuse! No matter what the cause, the symptoms are similar; and, the sooner we receive treatment the sooner we have a chance to once again lead a happier life.

Subconscious Reprogramming refers to the process of renewing your unconscious mind through repeated exposure to new thoughts, ideas, habits and images. You can gain a lot when you engage consciously in the process. You can easily eliminate psychological trauma when you take time to engage in the process. Oftentimes, psychological trauma manifests as emotional shock which can cause you a lot of distress and discomfort. It can even cause you bodily injury if care is not taken.
