To experience your divine nature, start making it a habit to place your attention on your Soul during the day. Your attention has probably been elsewhere so initially you may feel quite flatfooted and not sure how to feel your divine nature. One of the easiest ways to begin is to simply ask, “What is my Soul experiencing right now?” This question moves your attention away from typical thoughts, emotions and reactions that you are familiar with to the spiritual dimension of your being. It is a question to make you aware of your essence rather than a question necessarily to be answered.
With the extensive amount of business advice (whether free or paid), available business coaches and consultants, articles, webinars, social media posts and so forth it should be downright impossible not to make a single mistake in your business. It’s rare that the information we get is wrong, so what’s the problem? Why aren’t all businesses über successful? Here are three things that I see are the most common ways entrepreneurs and business owners screw up: 1. Listening to the wrong peopler
There are more self-help tools available today than ever before. Often times you can become confused and overwhelmed by all the "help" that is so readily offered. One of the best tools I have found to help you stay positive, focused, and keep your manifesting vibration high is the use of effective questions. Effective questions are questions you ask yourself that are designed to engage the creative, proactive, curious part of your mind and being. Effective questions set your
There seems to be a lack of tangible tende ess in the world today. Yet, there also seems to be a deep yearning in the hearts of humanity in this moment of time for nothing more than the need for others to be tender. “Tender”, in the context of this article, means to be kind, caring, conce ed, positive, and loving towards the needs, desires, and feelings of another. To be tender to those we love is something that we are meant to be doing on a daily basis. To be tender to humanity in general seems to be quite a difficult concept for a lot of us to grasp.
Relax.... What is happening right now is absolutely perfect with all of its perceived imperfections. Yes, we know that this may be hard for you to believe, yet this is 100% true. Reality is by definition perfect no matter what is happening in a specific time and place. Each moment contains perfection in all its forms. There is nothing missing from each moment. It is whole and complete unto itself like a hologram. It simple looks at times to the ego like something is missing,
A funny thing happened while I was getting ready for class #5 in my 8-week Prosperity Principles for Wealthy Living class - the topic of which is: I have seen amazing things happen when one puts their heart's desire into this format. One gal - with an intense singleness of purpose - made her entire wheel about her wedding. She had pictures of flowers, dresses, bridesmaids, grooms, altars, rings etc. - all on a pretty pink poster board (the color of love). She met her husband
"You learn to remain un-attached to thoughts by first watching how attention attaches to a thought in the first place. You can become aware of that action of attachment. It is very subtle and very fast but if you are fully present in this moment you can watch it happen. The thought arises and then there is a knee jerk action of grabbing that thought, of contracting attention into that thought. Attention is free, the thought arises and then it binds itself to that thought, it takes on the identity of that thought. Attention is no longer attention,r
I used to think surrender meant giving up. The connotation reeked of failure. Surrendering to anything felt like backing down, or caving in. My thinking mind considered surrender a dirty word, while my drive and commitment ate surrender for breakfast. Well, that’s before I understood what it really meant. Unconditional acceptance is surrendering my thinking mind’s desire to constantly control it all, even in so much as an approval or disapproval.
There is so much to be said when speaking of nurturing. So many women have been raised in stereotypical fashion to be nurturers of everyone else but themselves. The necessary nurturing spoken of here is to inform women (and even some men) that we have to learn to nurture and take care of ourselves in order to be truly beneficial for others.
I really think that self care is the key component to a happy life, and so I thought it would be fun to see what everyone's definition of self care was. We are all so unique and we all live varied lives. And this means that our definitions will all be different. If you are a new mom, self care might mean taking a nap while your baby sleeps. If you are a busy mom with older children, self care might mean practicing deep breathing while waiting in the car pool lane. If you are a business owner, self care might mean delegating tasks so that you can ease your own workload.
For many people today this question is answered very easily. One might answer by saying, “I learned to love because the people in my life while growing up showed me love.” This certainly makes is much easier for a person to understand the importance of having love in your life. Let’s say you ...
This body is the church, it is the temple, it is the sanctuary, the mosque, the hallelujah, the salaam, the Hare Krishna, the great ‘I am’ resides in this body, and therefore I submit to the holiness that resides within it. Who but the arrogant blasphemes the great I am that resides in this holy church, this holy body? Who but the ignorant tries to enter its gates without the cleanliness of the most high? Neither can a man be with this greatness without experiencing its greatness indeed.
Have you ever received a compliment and gotten flustered because you weren't sure how to respond? Your mind starts whirling with questions: Did you deserve such a nice compliment? Would you seem too full of yourself if you agreed? Should you simply look away and say a quick thank you and then change the subject?r
Many people think that yoga consists only of asana, postures and forms that we put our body in and pranayama, breathing exercises. However, those are only two aspects of the practice. Ashtanga Yoga is also a bit misunderstood as being correlated to a power yoga style of practice. Just a a tree has roots, trunk, branches, bark, leaves, sap, flowers, fruits yoga also has eight limbs that make up the full matrix of the practice. Ashta means eight and anga means limbs. The eight limbs of yoga consists of yama, niyama, asana, pranayama, pratyahara, dharana, dhyana and samadhi.
I've been thinking a lot lately about love...loving myself, loving others, loving the world, loving what IS right now...on and on. I've been out of a relationship a long time, healing myself so that I could finally have a healthy, supportive relationship, SO that I could finally BE that healthy person in a loving relationship. I've been focused on this healing not just for a romantic partner relationship, but also for a loving family relationship, my work, and my true purpose this lifetime and for the world.r
It may not seem like it, but there are incredible opportunities right now for you to transform yourself in wonderful and expansive ways. Especially during these difficult times, I encourage you to be aware of the mind. Your mind is patterned to keep you feeling separate. It can cause you to ...

I remember a time when a single woman would not consider going to a movie or out to dinner alone. There seemed to be a stigma in appearing in a social setting without a companion and while we women have come a long way baby, as the saying goes, many of us still find it difficult to be a party of ...
"If you close your eyes and stop thinking even for a second you will discover all that is here is impersonal attention. So a good meditation technique is to keep your focus on this impersonal attention. Which is really saying turn your attention back upon itself until you are clear enough about attention to simply rest as impersonal attention. If thoughts come, you simply keep your focus on this impersonal attention that is the back drop to all thinking. You never allow your attention to latch on to the thoughts and leave this moment,r
This is a really important (and sometimes really hard) question to answer. In an ideal world, we are living for ourselves and only doing things that make us feel great and are on our authentic path. But...it doesn't always work this way. It's normal to want to please others. It's normal to want to be liked. But ask yourself at what expense are you willing to sacrifice your own wants and desires to fit in. Think of how you live and the decisions you have made and continue to make. Are you making them based on what you think people will want or expect you to do?
This seemingly innocuous question from our Jou aling Further Within book can really bring up all sorts of outdated beliefs and issues of self worth if you dig deep enough. I think most of us believe that we are worth the necessities of life – food, shelter, love, etc. But if we go beyond this, our self doubt tends to kick in, and we start wondering what we are truly worth after all. A great example of feeling worth it is with regard to self care.r
Self improvement is an ongoing part of being alive! It is not about stopping something in your life and expecting it to go away. One of the most common forms of self improvement is the breaking of old and sometimes unhealthy habits. Smoking and drinking are two of the most common forms. Self ...
Messages of Truth Message Nr. 3 Does this field of Universal Consciousness consist of energy? No, it is the source of all kinds of energy. Just like it is the source of all kinds of matter. Look, it’s all very simple: Consciousness as such, is the ultimate essence of every thing and of ...
The Kundalini is an energetic pathway in the body that runs from the base of your spine up along your spine, up the back of your head and out the top of your head. There are many energetic pathways in the body but there are two main energy pathways. One moves up the center of the front of the body and the Kundalini, which runs up the center of the back of the body.
Role Attachment Bondage or Moha plays in gaining Enlightenment Attachment... bondage... Moha... state as we may but the meaning of all three words remains the same. Christians call it water, Hindus Jala and the followers of Islamic dharma as Paani... the intent and meaning of all the three is the same. Now let me explain this concept from the beginning... If there was no attachment... bondage or Moha... the need for any soul to traverse a long journey of 8.4 million lives (a
Problems are like the little paddles in a pin ball machine, that influence and guide the ball one way or the other. If the paddle hits the ball just right, it can propel the ball in an advantageous direction. You’re the little ball, and your problems are the paddles that guide you one way or the other. What determines your direction is your state of being. If you are submersed in unexamined thought, you mistake the “problem” as threatening, or as an obstacle. This creates resistance and a feel-bad experience.
Finding Forgiveness for Your Sake “To forgive is to give forth. It releases you from the past.” - “Positively Positive” on Twitterr Forgiveness comes in many forms but the most important aspect to remember is that it's for the one who was offended or victimized. The offender or perpetrator may never even hear or know that he or she has been forgiven, therefore, it has to be for the one who was harmed.r

Have you ever felt the need to create something truly wonderful? You get a great idea and are so excited, motivated, and can't wait to start. And sometimes you do just that and the magic happens. And other times you sit for a bit too long on the idea before taking action. Your mind kicks in and starts to wonder if it's really a good idea to create at this moment in your life. You think about how busy your life is and wonder if you should be adding yet another thing to your long to-do list.r
It is has been said that the movement of a butterflyâs wings in one part of the world can contribute to the formation of a hurricane in another part of the world. How can this be? How can what I do where I live affect thousands of others in another part of the planet?nnIf this is so, then my responsibility for my actions increases exponentially. It means what I do an as an individual affects others whether I realize it or not. What if I wake up one day and understand that I
Do you ever feel pressure to be someone you aren’t? Have you ever felt that if you showed the world the true you, you wouldn’t be truly accepted? We are all under a tremendous amount of pressure each and every day – pressure to look the right way, do our job the right way, perform to a certain standard, have everything under control.
The approximate “age” of a soul is oftentimes indicated by the very nature of the questions asked in the life. For example, when one asks of themselves “What is the purpose of my life, and why am I here? “ Well, rest assured we are considering an older soul here, rather than a younger one. The purpose of this article is to challenge its readers to expand their physical and non-physical minds beyond currently held ideas.
What Contract Have You Made With Yourself? We all go through our lives signing many contracts of agreement; yet I wonder if youâve considered putting your signature on the most important one of all? That is, of course the One With Yourself! This is the soul agreement that you make in order to live up to your own evolving expectations, desires, commitments and standards. We start out as children with our own Soul Contracts; however, oftentimes as children grow into adulthood
Oh my, this fear within me runs deeper tha I realized. This part of me that wants to keep playing small and hiding behind everything and anything takes up more space inside of me tha I thought. One foot moves forward, ready and oh, so willing to take that leap once and for all. To soar into the unknown. To fly higher than it has ever known. The other foot holds back – chained to the past and chained to the known. It knows that I am safe here. Unhappy, but safe.
What is fear? One definition is "a distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, pain, etc., whether the threat is real or imagined." And that's the key…"real" or "imagined". What do you do when fear strikes? It can be in any situation, for example, when we want to follow our heart's desire. We know we may be taking huge risks as we hope and dream that everything will work out. But then the fears surface. Our mind instills in us the uncertainty of whether our decision is right or not. We begin to question our motive.
Your Dream Reservoir As we all face the necessities of life, its no wonder that we live in a world where adapting to day to day challenges has become so commonplace; however,in order to truly flourish our hearts must stay open to keep our dreams alive! Could you imagine if the world functioned in an utterly mundane manner without the dreams that make most miracles come true? We would never have innovative inventions to improve our quality of life or pursue research for findin
As I begin this week, I remind myself that any one of my endeavors will only turn out as good as the quality of the experience I had completing it. Everything is being evaluated through the filters of the thinking mind. We experience the tasks at hand through rote thought and learned behaviors. Eventually the mind drifts into negative thinking and we wonder why we feel bad and our endeavors turn sour. When you lose touch with inner stillness, you lose touch with yourself. -Eckhart Tolle
There is a huge difference between intelligence and wisdom. Intelligence is an innate gift that reflects how smart you are. Intelligence is usually a gene passed down by one or both of your parents or someone in your direct bloodline. It is beneficial for learning things in school. It is what is known as “book smart.” Intelligence is also a reflection, sometimes, of common sense. They say geniuses are people who don’t have much common sense. In a stereotypical view of intelligence, the lack of common sense is a bit of a “quirk” in the brain for the M.E.N.S.A.
I was listening to Hay House Radio yesterday, and the host was talking about how our happiness levels could be measured by averaging the happiness levels of our top few friends. I found this so interesting and also very eye opening. It's so important to surround ourselves with positive, emotionally healthy, and happy people. Because emotions and feelings are contagious (here is my previous post about this), it's especially important and crucial for our own well being that we are cognizant of who we choose to be close to.
Feature Article: Writing the Prayer of Your Life advice column for February... A poem a day keeps the doctor away! Some days are like this for me: not much works. My brain, nespecially, seems to not be able to figure out really basicnthings, like what to do, and what to do next. I stumblenaround like a walking study in frustration. Life is busy - that's just the way it is. We all have so many things to do - so much to keep track of on a daily basis. Many of us tend to be overscheduled, overworked, and overexhausted. We're just trying to make it all work - make sure we keep up with everything - make sure things don't unravel. In a perfect world, there would be a 25th hour every day just so we could rest, take care of ourselves, rejuvenate, relax, and unwind. But that's not obviously not going to happen.
I value the power of positive thinking. Until I can step outside of, or turn thought off completely, I can choose positive thought. If I’m going to live in a story, I’ll at least try to make it a good one. That said, be leery not to wander too far into The Valley of Faux Mercy. The thinking mind likes this place, as it perpetuates thinking. Whether I am submersed in negative thought, or I am submersed in positive thought, I am still submersed in thought. It’s all still thought.
I am taking creative license here to discuss the ever-present, negative habit of providing excuses for everything we subconsciously choose to not be responsible for in our lives. One very important truth in understanding the reality of excuses is that they are nothing but “reasons with lies inside.” Think about that carefully for a moment.
WOW – You really can feel better! That is the title of a new e-book containing three guided meditations that almost anyone can do to significantly reduce, and even eliminate, suffering. Two of the processes work better with facilitation, whether with a friend, your own recording, or by purchasing a CD. One is much shorter and easily done alone, with no tools required. It’s called the SoloWOW process, which takes ½ an hour or so and can quickly shift you from distress to bein
On the way to becoming “self-realized”, becoming balanced is a boon. My boyfriend calls it “living in moderation.” The whole concept is to find ways to keep all aspects of your life in balance – your thoughts, your beliefs, your words, your actions, your emotions, and your feelings. It’s not easy, especially if you have been raised in a very dysfunctional background.
