Article of the Month; An Example of ResiliencyrnWith the resent passing of Senator Ted Kennedy, this writer took time to reflect on what the media told us about his life. Prior to his death, this writer did not spend a great deal of time thinking about the Senator. I was aware of the famous last name. I was aware of the family wealth and fame. I was also aware that Senator Kennedy himself incurred tragic family losses, survival of a plane accident, physical injuries, substanc

"First, realize that someone or something is not making you feel this way. You are feeling this way out of a reaction to what is happening. Blaming only keeps you unconscious. Second, be honest and accept what you feel, this is most important. Don't try and create "positive emotions." This is just the ego trying to impose something it thinks should be here on top of what is really here. You have to really allow yourself to feel what is honestly here and accept it. Perhaps at first what you feel will go and you will findr
The path to spiritual awakening really does not have to be complicated. You simply, with an open mind find the practices that you experience a greater awakening into bliss and you practice them. You should try everything; from yoga breathing exercises, to mantra, to chanting to various methods of meditation and everything in between. And when you find practices that help awaken the divine bliss that is beyond all beliefs and ideas then you follow those practices. You give yourself whole heartedly to them.
Are you so worried about stage fright that you refrain from speaking in public? Is your desire to do public speaking shackled by the idea that you have to overcome your fears first? Consider this. Sir Laurence Olivier, one of the great thespians of his time had terrible stage fright before his performances, yet he had a long and highly distinguished and successful career.
THE IN BETWEEN TIMES When we transition from life time to life time, there is that place of revelation or that place of the “oops”….as Brittney Spears sings….Oops I did it again…and then again and than again! This place and space of learning, going over your script, rewriting your lessons and karma, getting your issues in order and figuring out your next role, family and location of your stage is the In-Between Times.
Theoretically, yes. The problem is that we don’t! I’m a Reiki Master. One day, my hand was badly burnt. I had guests over and it took all my smiles to try to forget the pain that was rushing through my sore hand whilst continuing to eat! I was furious at not being able to instantly heal. I was doubting my own ability, doubting the “art,” doubting God … the next day, I did a Reiki session on a woman who had such severe arthritis that she couldn’t move her fingers. Forty-five minutes later, the lady was playing piano again for the first time in years.
At 4:20am, I woke up, showered and got dressed so I could be at my friend Sujatha’s house by 5am. As I walked a short distance down the hill to her home, people were just waking up themselves as they prepared for their own morning’s puja (ritual). I passed a some cows and a few dogs which were rummaging for food in the trash. When I arrived at Sujatha’s, she silently greeted me without a word but a big smile spread across her face. She was teaching me how to perform my morning prayers, Hindu-style.
Avatar - the concept of Avaatar in Hinduism (manifest God)... does it hold good? From times immemorial it has been a standard practice in Hinduism to accept the existence of Avatar. But who is an Avatar... is Avatar manifest God himself or a human being who assumes significant spiritual powers that the humanity starts considering one an Avatar. In the present Kali Yuga everyone is awaiting with abated breath the advent of the Avatar of the era... the coming of Bhagwan Kalki.
"There is a force in this moment; an intense movement of energy. The more aware you become, the more you feel this incessant flow of energy gushingrnlike a tsunami. The tendency is to repress this energy or to get rid of it, usually through chasing and fulfilling desires, or through worry. Even spiritual practice can mistakenly become about trying to control this flow of energy, trying to repress this flow of energy, trying to escape it. So in meditation you lea to recognize this flow and surrender to it. To live in perfect balancer
There are so many chances one has to transform and change the various assortment of events that take place within the mind, from how it perceives the day to day functions to how it perceives oneself. These transformations feature an array of diverse inner layers and can be thought of as a start and finish or an opening and closure. What is filled in the middle is up to only the beholder of those thoughts and actions.
Anyone can simply begin blogging. Blogging a book, however, that’s a different story. If you want to blog a book, approach the endeavor like you would any other book project you might undertake. Here’s a list of 6 things you need to do before you start blogging your book.
As I first thought about writing this article, I felt pangs of guilt. I questioned my loyalty to the woman who would raise me and care for me as I grew into a young woman. As I pondered the inbo devotion that was holding me back, I realized that sharing these feelings would not only prove cathartic, but perhaps might be relatable to other daughters and perhaps sons as well. When I think of my relationship with my mother I think of pain, not physical pain, but emotional pain.
"In order to witness thoughts, you have to allow the thinking, you have to become completely passive. It is like leaving all ofrnthe doors wide open so the wind can flow through. You do not try and define the wind, understand the wind or analyze the wind. You do not get involved with the content of the mind at all. It just flows. If you can watch thoughts in this way, you will see that there is just a flow of thoughts. That what you call mind is just a flow of thoughts, a flow of energy. Moving by itself without any contraction or stress whatsoever.
There is so much discussion and speculation about the Law of Attraction that the concept can sometimes get confusing if you are not sure what you are asking the Universe to do for you. Remember a contract is a two way agreement. First you must be absolutely clear what you are expecting the Universe to provide for you. And most importantly do you understand your part of the bargain? Don’t forget you are part of the deal. What happens when you “think” that the Universe is not fulfilling its end of the bargain? Do you really think the Universe would not give what you are asking?

The law of attraction has become THE buzzword in the last several years through the books and trainings of Esther and Jerry Hicks, Mike Dooley’s work, the movie “The Secret” and others. But it has been around a very long time. Charles Haanel wrote his book “The Master Key System” in 1912, and Wallace D. Wattles, wrote his book “The Science of Getting Rich” in 1910. And way before that, most spiritual texts, including the bible, speak of prayer and focusing on what it is you desire, believing that it will manifest.
In today's uncertain times, it is easy to understand why you might feel yourself moving into resistance. Resistance may stem from fear and anxiety, but in many cases it comes as a very familiar, knee-jerk reaction to change. But life only gets more complicated when you resist "what is." Many ...
Oh gosh, I remember the first (and only, thank God!) time my child had a tantrum in a big store. Not pleasant! You can’t just leave him there as you would at home, fighting it off on his own until he gives up. You can’t grab and drag, because you don’t want to be that parent. You can’t reason with him, because by that time he’s already out of his mind. So what do you do?
My email box has been filling up with notices about the annual start of National Novel Writing Month (www.nanowrimo.org). However, in general, I write nonfiction. If you, like me, consider yourself a nonfiction writer, don’t sit around for the next 30 days twiddling your thumbs and wishing you ...
Anger is an emotion that can be observed even in babies. For them, so much is new, and their developing command of of their own bodies challenges them and produces frustration that is manifested as anger. The interesting part is that, in the very young, manifestations of anger are natural. Almost right away, the infant observes the reaction that all of their actions have on those around them. They quickly learn which behaviour gets what kind of response from their parents.
You are the creator of your reality. This is your birthright. You have always been able to manifest with your thoughts and your words. Now you have reached the place where you are able to do this consciously. Once you realize this beautiful gift you were born with and begin to use it to its fullest advantage, you have to then take responsibility for the things you create. This is the basis of accountability.r
There are moments in each of our lives when we know small steps need to be taken in the hope to attain and maintain major, life changing outcomes and new abilities. The problem being, some are not sure what step needs to be taken to get actually get there.
You've seen the "No Fear" clothing stickers on cars helping to coach those who want to overcome if not ignore fear. But to ignore it or to say it doesn't exist is only healthy if you are aware of it, its purpose and need, for understanding fear and how it's used in our lives is one of the most important success tools in existence. But why does fear exist? Well, in some cases it protects us from harm. It is a warning to get out! We are afraid when we hear gunfire, feel the initial rumblings of an earthquake, or someone appears out of nowhere.
'Free will is the greatest gift of God to man,' says Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in his commentary on the Bhagavad Gita (Bh.G. 1.39). 'Man has freedom of action; thereby he can adopt any channel, good or bad, through which he wants the course of his life to flow' (Bh.G. 2.27). We know that freedom is very fulfilling, we all want more and more freedom. Freedom equates with happiness, independence and sovereignty. And indeed, man seems to be more free than any other life form.
One of the key inhibitors to success is doubt, especially self-doubt.

Have you ever said “If only I could change him a little…”? Has anyone ever tried to “mold” you into a different person? Have you felt frustrated trying to fit into your job description? It could be that you’re just not playing the right cards. First of all, it’s important to accept that you can’t change a person’s basic way of being. Behaviors can evolve over time, but you’ll always be the same person at heart. In your personal, professional or any other type of relation
When we look at people who have made a name for themselves and have accumulated an abundance of wealth, we should ask ourselves... "What are they doing differently that makes them so rich?" Some people might say that they were born with certain talents. This may be true, but that's really just one small piece of the puzzle. In fact, decades of research on achievement suggests that successful people reach their goals not simply because of who they are, but more often because of what they do.
Namaste beloved ones! Heartfelt greetings again and it is my sincere hope and prayer that this note finds you happy and in inner peace! That what you sow you will reap says the Bible. Every Cause has an effect and every effect has its cause. This is an indisputable fact and ete al law of this Universe we live in. I AM here to very lovingly humbly and strongly give you the advice to be obedient to Gods laws and your life will be much more fulfilled, easier and happier! ;)
I tend to be a random thinker. The other day I read a friend's blog post and he wrote about overhearing a woman visiting next door say to her five-year-old daughter, "I need you to cooperate". He felt that the tone was fine but felt that her statement took away from the child's sovereignty. I understood his point of view but had different thoughts about it. So that led me to think about cooperation. I looked up the definition of the word cooperate and found one of the synonym's to be "participate".
All of us as human beings have been taught “from the cradle on” about how the real world operates, and we are “told” that this reality exists independent from our own ideas of it. Would it surprise you if you learned that after your own death one day this was not true? What if there was “more to the story?” Would it change things for you if you learned that the life you had, was the one you created for yourself out of the ideas in your head?
This month be free flowing, open to new possibilities and accepting of a certain amount of unpredictability. Use compassion, creativity and charm to inspire opportunities which can bring you independence and freedom from old ideas and conventional norms of behavior. October 4th ~ Libra/Aries Full Moon " Man's main task in life is to give birth to himself, to become what he potentially is. The most important product of his effort is his own personality." ~ Erich Fromm
Before your life can change, you must decide you want your life to change. The hardest part of changing anything is making the decision to change. If your life was perfect, you wouldn’t be reading this article. It is possible to start a brand-new life, right now, today. Know you have the power to create a brand-new blueprint for your life. 1. If you’ve listened to my radio shows, you know there’s one thing I am always repeating: Use your five senses! Your five senses are like tentacles that connect you with everything and everyone outside of you. They are channels of information flowing in and out, which you can easily hone into, process and use again to express yourself better.
Change is a complex idea that can cause some to quiver just from the word alone. Resistance reinforces the fear that goes hand and hand with change. "The fear of the unknown" is a phrase well known by most and how true it is. The newness of any given situation can be enough to either scare a person beyond belief or provide one with the courage to strive full speed ahead.
As the world around us goes faster and faster, we loose sight of the simple pleasures in motion. Our inner child, that playful, silly one gets lost in the midst of âlifeâ. At some point we feel we need to grow up â be adults and act mature. The inner child in all of us gets placed on a shelf somewhere and is seen, but often forgotten. nnOur inner child a part of all of us, the creative self, the playful self, the indulgent self. Many times in what we call the âreal wo
The Universe wants everything to be always in balance, and it strives to ensure that this is the case. Homeostasis is the property of a system that regulates its internal environment and tends to maintain a stable, constant condition. Our bodies operate in this way, as a microcosm of universal order.
Sometimes I just feel stuck—like I am frozen in a block of ice. It’s an interesting metaphor, actually. I can see out, but just can’t move. My mind is active. I am thinking, planning, conniving even, but that’s as far as it gets. How can I thaw the ice so that I can step out of the ...
The act of worry is not anything to be taken lightly and is considered a major influence that enables a series of negative outcomes to become a reality. People tend to become out of tune with relationships, jobs, family and most importantly, themselves. Although it is human nature to be conce ed at times the immense emotion boundaries of worry mostly lingers within and around key circumstances in which one has no control.
"Astrology can be defined as a technique for he study of life-cycles.Its main purpose (is to establish) the existence of regular patterns in the sequence of events constituting man’s inner and outer experience; then,to use the knowledge of these patterns in order to control or give meaning to these experiences ~ Indeed, the study of cycles ~ that is, of periodical activities in nature, human and otherwise ~ is the root of all significant knowledge, be it scientific or philosophical. And the study of cycles is a study of time. ~ Dane Rudhyar

The universal law of attraction is not working for you as you'd perhaps like it to work and it could be for this reason: the laws of the universe, the law of attraction in particular as I'm writing about in this article is not to be approached with an attitude that we are going to "try it out for a couple of weeks to see if it works". How do you think of the law of attraction? What is your attitude towards it?
We should turn within, then, as have all of those great souls who have blessed the world with their presence; we should turn within and FIND GOD. It should seem natural to turn to the Great Power back of everything; it should seem normal to believe in this Power; and we should have a sense of a Real Presence when we do turn toward the One and Only Power in the entire Universe. This method is by far the most effective. It gives a sense of power that nothing else can, and, in
The Law of Attraction is a Universal Principal that is *always* working in our lives... always and all ways! \ Whatever we focus on becomes our experience. I would also expand that statement to include, whatever we focus on, are passionate about, and... believe and expect to receive... are what we will attract.
Self Awakening is the natural state of being human! We all have this birth-right and we all desire to live happy, safe, fulfilling lives. I have learned through my own practice of yoga, meditation, self-reflection and spiritual studies that we can actually re-program the way we think, so to speak. In learning to do so, we begin to redirect any negative patterns our minds repeats and create a profound change in the way we feel and move in our lives.
"Every morning you are handed 24 golden hours. They are one of the few things in this world that you get free of charge. If you had all the money in the world, you couldn't buy an extra hour. What will you do with this priceless treasure? Remember, you must use it, as it is given only once. ...
At some point in your life, you will realize that it’s time to start pushing. You will realize that your dreams are just on the other side of your fear and trepidation and insecurity and all of that gunk that you really don’t want to deal with and just wish would go away. At some point in your life, you will have had enough. You will stare all of these barriers straight in the face and with more determination than you have ever felt, you will break through them one by one. Insecurity – gone. Fear – gone. Anxiety – gone. Hesitation – gone. Uncertainty – gone.r
If you want to attain deep peace and spiritual wellness, follow these 4 easy steps. The first step in spiritual wellness is to address what you put into your body. Whatever food you eat becomes a part of your experience. And so if you are eating a lot of junk food then your body will be busy trying to get rid of all of the poisons that are in that food, including sugar, chemicals and unhealthy fats. And this leads to a feeling of imbalance and sickness.
Howdy! As I came up with the title for this article, cute thoughts like BYOB and OMG came to mind. Okay I know you are wondering, so what, we know what they mean but what does MYOB stand for and what is the purpose of it? Well folks, I will tell you and believe me, once you read this, those initials will be like a walking mantra to you. Remember when we were kids and we would listen to elders talking about everything from church to church folks? We would sit back and wonder what and whom were they talking about and why these folks were doing what they were doing.
