Tarot is an exercise in creative thought. Quite apart from any messages or any use of messages it can produce, the act of simply figuring out language that arises from combinations of cards stretches one's mind: It is mental exercise like bridge or blackjack is. There are 78 cards, and of course each card has many meanings by itself, and each combination of cards (3,003 possible two-card combinations exist) therefore has even more possible interpretations. This can be a fun game.

All this material on the Inte et that suggests rnyou hype to thousands and hope a few souls bite creates a cacophony like coyotes on the mountainside howling for blood. And who wants to buy? About as many as want to meet the coyotes. If you are selling objects that are inexpensive, scatter shot advertising is effective. And maybe the hype is effective too. But I have built a very successful business rnin one of the most competitive arenas on ads that are designed to exclude, that are designed to attract only the most suitable of clients, only the most mutually desirable
The single most accurate indicator of a young lawyer's success, I objectively observed in south Florida as an humble court reporter, was this attitude: that he freely and enthusiastically wished riches on everyone, success to everybody around him. This puzzled me at first, so I paid attention.
Much of the discomfort we experience that we call 'stress' is really turf related. Defending turf is a primary instinct for mammals and we are mammals for all our pretensions. In humans 'turf' expands to whatever it is we feel entitled to.
There is no such thing as the human body. Lately even the medical industry is beginning to face this fact. ("Oh? How old is it? What race and gender? Is it in good health? What are its habits and living conditions?") Well, in the good old days it used to be a 40-year-old American urban white male with money who might have heart trouble, but some things have changed, haven't they?
Overcoming Fear and Hearing Voices with Oedipus When I was a kid I used to chat with adults waiting for the bus on bus benches. Taking opinion polls with this captive audience in the summer in south Florida in the Fifties was easy. People will tell a kid anything when there's absolutely nothing else to do and nobody is looking. I learned poor people are all for any revolution if they don't have to do anything themselves.
Levels of skill in reading Tarot, or skill in other types of psychic insight, seldom lead to successful business ownership. In the first sister article to this one, the steps in developing the skill of reading Tarot are described, and some reasons that skilled professionals don't go into business for themselves are explained. (That article is 'Reading Tarot as a Business—Levels of Skill Seldom Lead to Successful Business Ownership.')
You don't have to be psychic to read Tarot and get accurate answers to questions! You can do this just as you are. Well, there are some things to learn...
Reading Tarot as a Business, the Sensitive Entrepreneur—Marketing This is the second article in a series designed to be a handbook on what is required to be the entrepreneurial psychic, the sole practitioner who owns his own successful psychic business. Service professionals can apply most of this information to their enterprises as well.
Accepting whatever client happens when beginning a service business as an entrepreneur is normal. It can be a ruinous detour as a regular practice, though; and you may not be aware of the illfated turn at the time it happens. Example: I opened a court reporting office without directly soliciting any clients first. One of my first clients was a very busy law office run by an unethical man and his unethical wife. He had more than enough business to keep me busy without any other clients.
*Reading Tarot for yourself is one skill. The first phase, of course, is simply discovering cards' meanings. There are a number of ways to do this. Learning is between yourself and the deck, and is at your own leisure. You don't have to be correct. This is a fun activity, and you can do it with friends too. *Reading Tarot for friends and people you know is another skill.
Why You Should be Arrogant Each of us has something we value that we are devoted to within ourselves, that we are 'better at' than other people are because we pay attention more to that one thing than others do. This is our personal superiority, and by golly, we are entitled to it.
Self-Discovery to Attract Desired Outcomes from Mental and Spiritual Planes
"I'm not happy," she said. "I'm not prosperous. And all my friends are." She was in distress, was very upset. She presented no specific problem, just a very black mood. Hmmm. I knew I had talked to her before. I could not remember anything specific from the one short session she had had with me. She asked no question, so I asked her 'Why do you think your friends are all so happy? Why do you think they are all doing so well financially?'

The structure of any species' brain predisposes it to certain kinds of thinking. The recent scientific brain mapping experiments in which the same certain area of brain is stimulated in random humans, or is stimulated in a given category of human individuals, suggest that anything any of us think has likely been thought up by a member of our species before. Our uniqueness has its limits, in other words. We are programmed not only by environment, education and our psychology, but by anatomy.
Because psychics often use Tarot, people assume you need to be psychic to use this tool. The Rider Waite deck has scenes depicted on each card that can be applied to what you are thinking of, encouraging you to creative insight. With practice, to the extent you can spot patterns and trends in things, you will sense a theme in the cards you have put down. Start using just two cards at a time.

The categories that human languages lock things into in our minds stifle creative thinking and block extrasensory perception. The categories are the 'box' to 'think out of.' Language fetters awareness: *Most people won't think of or even sense something they have no words for. *We dream of things we have no language for (a color without shape, a form without an outline) and therefore cannot retrieve the dream. *When a foreign concept blossoms, we put Galileo on trial for his life in our heads.
Wealth and Success: Your Individual Path There Be very aware that making wealth and keeping wealth are not the same thing. People who are successes are doing both. This is like the difference between marrying Mr. Right, and marrying Mr. Right with the right relationship for you. Half a loaf is better than none, but... First, how not to.
When you are supposed to survive and a life-threatening situation is at hand, a message comes to you from anywhere it can. Be aware, it can happen to you! Why you are supposed to survive may be an unknown: Perhaps you are a cog in a wheel of coincidence that leads to something important to divine plan. Who knows? The blueprints of the universe are not on public display.
Turning Points in a Sparrow Life and Yours All the sparrows abandoned those many nests inside the peafowl pen (where all the bird food is!) sandwiched between the metal roof and the wood slats of a horse carrier that fit over a truck bed. Snow is on the ground; it is early May. I am hardly ever here; I come to inspect the cleanliness of the feeders, at dusk. A frog is in the dirt. I pick it up. It has a beak; it is a baby bird! A tiny neonate. It will be three or four days before its eyes are open; it has no feather tracks. Omigod!
Skeptics are Fanatics in Reverse—The Theology of Disbelief Lately I have been encountering self-professed skeptics. Their writing reminds me of the hot prose of fanatics, which got me onto this train of thought. Then I think 'There is more to it.' I invite someone trained in theology to more minutely examine the theology of avowed skepticism, the dogma of disbelief. I am only an amateur in this arena.
Tarot itself is an unbiased observer of human affairs. It will contradict the expectations of the people who are using it. Unbiased observers of human affairs are in short supply. Remember the Scientific Method?--rn Observe. Form a theory. Test. Repeat until the experiment is reproducible by others.
The making of American Indian shamans includes illness, sometimes serious illness: It is a common thread in their biographies, and also in the biographies of well-known mystic saints. You don't have to be a shaman or a saint for sickness to be part of your spiritual training; it is a phase in the development of ordinary mortals who are getting onto the path. One can speculate that the illness really comes first and puts a person in a different frame of mind, such as when one has fevers for months on end, that it is simply therefore part of the destiny.
The old orange grove had seen its last bearing days years ago. The trees were ancient gnarled and unattended. Everyone knew there was to be no citrus coming from there. It was the 1920s in south Florida, then a backwater swamp populated by vacationers who spent all their cash and never could save bus fare back to civilization on the prevailing wage of the territory.
Tarot Analysis Nourishes Our Mental and Spiritual Selves While We are in the Physical World
Success: The First Step, How George got out of the Ghetto Here is this book that was old in l959. George Washington Carver (the renowned head professor of the Agriculture Department at Tuskegee University; researcher into, and promoter of, alte ative crops to cotton in the Reconstruction South; a man openly praised by President Theodore Roosevelt) was born a slave, and was a sickly child to boot. In the book, he is being interviewed as to what started him on his path from that ghetto predicament to being the famous scientist and entrepreneur.
GINGER HONEY SOY COFFEE You would never know coffee is under all this when you are done. Even if you don't like coffee, you will adore this. Forget those $5 lattes. The Cowboy Bible says “Drink thy coffee hot and strong and black,” but all the cowboys but one that I served this to approved.
No Work Impressive Chicken and Sweet Potato with no pot to scrub You know those thin frozen cardboard chicken breasts that come in a heavy bag, that only a dieter would choose? Well, we are going to make them gourmet: This recipe makes your reputation. Today you are exhausted and want a hot meal, not in a box. Okay, here's what you do before you hit the shower and the news and a drink: Turn the oven on to between 200° and 230°. That is not a misprint.
Peel about half a head of garlic and leave it in tiny pieces in your food chopper. If you don't have a food chopper, get one – and for now just smash the garlic in a baggie with a hammer. This will motivate you to get a food chopper. I know this! Cut any red meat into bite-sized thin strips, have a little bacon grease handy to saute it in quickly later, in a fry pan of appropriate size. For now, keep it warm.
Tarot, Mass Consciousness Entity, Reports Data it Focuses Upon; How Tarot Predicts Tarot itself reflects what a person is actually thinking at the time that person is handling the Tarot deck. There is no doubt of this: At least one scientist has demonstrated this fact, and you can too. Tarot has become, through human tradition, through years of use, and probably through intelligent design, an entity in mass consciousness that reports data it focuses upon.
Spiritual Power: First Steps An expert's handbook exists for beginners to spiritual power, an ancient book. We know it works because the lady who wrote it trained a group of women in the fifteenth century—during the Inquisition in Spain-- to pray so powerfully that a real estate empire was created that makes Donald Trump look like an amateur, a real estate empire that still exists. Did she put all the points in the book? We don't know that.
Meditation that is Comfortable For You and Relevant to You Do you find the whole meditation thing intimidating? OK, I admit it: I do. Sitting cross-legged on an oriental cushion is, hmmm, unamerican? It's something. It's uncomfortable in more than one way. It's something that is 'not me.' There. I said it. So let's dismiss that concept. Maybe later. Let's get down to our own basic physical reality.
Confidence is a Tangible Asset Worth its Price We face some challenge. We mentally list what our resources are to deal with it. 'I have the time. I have the money. I have the skill.' we say to ourselves, listing our ammo. Confidence does not show up as one of those tangible assets in our list. But what is it within us that gathers all these resources together in sync to accomplish our purpose?
It is an act of will – a decision, that's all – that starts a person on the mystic path of being one with the Almighty. After that initiation, it is events of the person's life, and the “voice in your gut” that are the training, the lessons. Seeing a pattern in the events of your life is seeing your path. The focus of your path is what you do, not what you believe: God wants you to think or believe in whatever motivates you ahead in your growth. (It's not the dogma, it's the doing.) Ignored lessons recur in ever harsher more obvious forms!
My Ghetto Roots and Why I Like It That Way Oh, you poor thing, you grew up in that terrible ghetto. Wrong! We ghettoites have a secret advantage, the same advantage the weeds have over the cultivated posies, the same advantage wild animals have over ones of the same species who were gently reared and turned loose in the jungle, the same advantage wild food crops have over improved seed crops, over hybrid seed crops, over genetically mutilated seed crops.
OVER EASY SCALLION EGGS 6 or so young fresh scallions (green onions) which you have chopped go onto a plate and briefly (maybe 5 minutes?) into the microwave to precook them (wilt them).
Where I live, in the dead of night people whose gardens have produced many of those monster zucchini will sneak onto the doorsteps of their neighbors and leave them. Here is a recipe to make easy and fantastic use of one or more of the monsters. Got a steamer? If not put a colander or large strainer that fits a pot into it in such a way the handles of the colander/strainer keep it from falling in. Now a lid will fit loosely because of the insert. Now you have a steamer!
Owly and his sidekick Iggy. Molly and her sidekick Li'l Dude. The same story. Molly was a Jerry Lee type of German Sheppard: the medium brown body and black muzzle. She was from the pound, a young adult who had lived in the truck of an unemployed homeless rural western dude, with him. Molly hunted animals for his dinner and presumably shared it. She was a proud cold dog, a good watch dog, but not to be trusted with the ducks before I beat that out of her. She was the leader.
So... you are new to tarot and your readings are going great. Then, one day, the Tower card turns up in your reading. It's a pretty ominous looking card. Not quite as ominous as the Devil or Death cards, but still, menacing enough to send a shiver down your spine and perhaps lead to fretting. What could it mean? Here's a look at some ways to interpret this important tarot card without doom and gloom. The Meaning of the Tower Card in the Tarotr
Jupiter in the Ist house makes the native necessarily rich, even if he is deprived of learning and education. He will be healthy and never afraid of enemies. What is emotional vulnerability? Emotional vulnerability is when an individual surrenders fully to the joys and sorrows of giving and receiving love. It is when you break open locks and tear down walls—being open and transparent.
Perhaps you purchased a deck of tarot cards for yourself, or maybe someone else gave them to you. Regardless of how you came by them, they are now in your hands. Now what? What do you do with them? Is there a ritual you’re supposed to perform before using them? Are you supposed to get a ...
Can tarot cards predict the future? The answer is yes- but the answer comes with a caution. Apparently, tarot cards do provide a brief look of the future. Tarot cards are a really excellent way to see into the very near future- especially if you ask concise and clear quires and arrange the terms for a usable answer. And when you incorporate the intuitions you obtain from the cards along with your common sense, your intuition san your experience, you can surprise yourself with
The Empress Tarot Card is the third card in the Major Arcana. She represents the mother archetype and embodies all things that are feminine. She is often portrayed as a beautiful woman, sitting upon a throne with a scepter in her hands and a crown upon her head. Her association to the goddess, Venus, further supports her womanly role as the ultimate nurturer and creator of life. She is the card of abundance, creativity and dedicated love. The empress typically represents abun
There are many tools of divination available to those who wish to seek them out, but one of the most iconic and easy to learn is the deck of Tarot. In beginning to understand Tarot, there are four suits: swords, cups, wands and pentacles, as well as Major Arcana, iconic cards that have a whole different series of meanings in the deck and are universally considered the more important part of the deck. In continuing study of the Major Arcana, next is the 8 Card, Strength. In Ta
You sense it. It's a program running in the background that you are about as conscious of as you are of your refrigerator running or your own breathing. But when you least expect it, spiritual reality intrudes and grabs the spotlight like a car accident intrudes upon a normal afte oon, often bequeathing you a new perspective. Or sometimes there is a quiet moment imbued with an ill-defined super-reality that you long to revisit. Maybe a deja-vu; maybe a breakthrough; or is it just one of those daydreams in which the colors of the scene around you seem altered?
