OK, so you know you have a problem, right? No matter how hard you try to keep your home organized, you just can’t seem to pull it off. The reality is that some people are naturally better organized while others are a bit more organizationally challenged. If you fall into the latter category, you can still keep yourself better organized with these three organizing tips.

Keep Things Handy

One of the problems that many people face when trying to get organized is keeping organized after the clutter is put away. Therefore, the first of the three organizing tips you need to follow is to find a way to keep certain things handy. If you create a spot for your favorite pair of shoes that is way in the back of the closet, for example, you are less likely to put them away each time you use them. Find out of the way spots for items you use regularly that will still allow them to be easily accessed.

Label, Label, Label

Once you get all of your clutter nicely boxed up and stored away, the last thing you want to do is pull it all down to see what is inside. Therefore, the second of the three organization tips you should follow is to put labels on the outside of the boxes – and, put the label on all four sides. This way, you can tell what is inside from any angle.

Take Notes

The last of the three organization tips you should utilize is to take note of where you put certain items. We have all experienced the phenomenon of putting something away in a place where you won’t forget it or where it won’t get lost. Yet, somehow, these are the very items we can never find. Make a list of where you put certain items in something that won’t get lost, such as in the back of your phone book. That way, you have an easy resource to help you find your lost goodies!
