Faith or fear is a choice that everyone makes daily. In fact, either faith or fear is just a standard mode of operation for many people. Some function almost constantly in one or the other.

It’s been said that faith and fear are opposite sides of the same coin; therefore, we can only operate in one or the other at any given time… never at the same time.

It’s also been said that the greatest tool the enemy uses against us in life is discouragement. However, discouragement is brought on by fear; therefore, discouragement can be avoided by operating in faith.

Faith or fear is a subconscious thought process. In other words, it’s a choice we make at the subconscious level because it’s a habit. If you’re used to operating in faith, then when an unpleasant circumstance presents itself, you will not be bothered by it. However, if you’re used to operating in fear (as most people are), you’ll become negative.

Being negative only attracts more undesirable circumstances to you; therefore, learning to change the bad habit of operating in fear is mandatory.

Since we are born with only a few fears like the fear of loud noises and the fear of falling, most other fears are just learned. The fear of rejection, the fear of failing, and the fear of success are all learned.

Just knowing the truth behind choosing faith or fear is a huge step toward learning to operate in faith. When we operate in faith enough, it will become a habit and become almost effortless.
