What is maturity? the idea of maturity can be associated with many references. I have researched and explained the idea from a psychological and philological perspective. The fact that nature will offer you more life privileges, the greater your maturity level is a great stimulus for obtaining maturity.

The psychology science, defines maturity as a person who can respond to a given circumstance or environment in an appropriate manner. Whereas, the use and development of knowledge is sufficient enough that most of their initial human experience problems have been overcome. Units of knowledge to support these ideas are as follows:

★ Idea of psychological age involves the power to solve problems based upon your behaviors and habits. Every individual has a psychological as well as chronological age. does your psychological and chronological age match is the real question. Many humans psychological and chronological age do not match. Psychological age is a measure by degree of emotional and mental through non physical experiences. Chronological age is a measure by degree of anatomical, and physiological through the period of the time a human has spent out of the womb interacting with the environment. IQ testing is a great example to estimate chronological age vs psychological age. Psychological maturity plays a vial role in the maturity process.

★ The idea of arrested development involves emotions repressed into the unconscious which produces sources of emotional disturbances. Talking out is an example to solve unresolved emotional conflicts. Researchers state that unresolved childhood emotional conflicts are a leading cause for disease. Arrested development plays a vital role in the maturity process.

★ The idea of conditioned response is a response made by a human after learning to associate an experience with a stimulus. The words conditioned response and conditioned reflex are often used interchangeably. Using artificial stimulus such as food, safety and sense of belonging is an example to re-establish the growth processes of undeveloped adults. This is said to encourage adults to act their age. Conditioned response plays a vital role in the maturity process.

★ The idea of aptitude uniqueness is a person is at their best then they are doing their best at what they can do best. Differential ability scale is a great example one can use to measure aptitude uniqueness because it determines ones individual intellectual strengths and weaknesses which identifies ones levels of abilities. Build up your own uniqueness of your own powers. Aptitude uniqueness plays a vial role in the maturity process.

★ The idea of adult capacity to learn involves teacher and student understanding the life experiences and ideas that the learner has about his or herself. One can learn from anything the mind perceives no matter the age. All students has a capacity to learn because learning is a natural occurrence and social process. Trial and error is an example of the adult capacity to learn. Our daily life experiences contain the lessons of life. Adult capacity to learn plays a vial role in the maturity process.

The philosophy science, defines maturity as when one leaves confusion and enter into the knowing stage. The knowing stage to me is when a person can generate stand alone ideas specific example: One can look at a problem analyze present, past and future conditions of that problem. Units of knowledge to support this idea are as follows:

A. The first level of knowing is when a person believes there is only one right answer to a problem.

B. The second level of knowing is when a person acknowledges the fact that there isn’t always one answer to a problem and there can be doubt about knowing things and the idea of applied knowledge is developed.

C. The third level of knowing is when a person starts to view others as valuable collaborators to their own knowledge and they understand that everyone has their own personalized opinions and beliefs. Therefore, they start to develop their own personalized beliefs and opinions.

D. The fourth level of knowing is when a person understands that they need to support their opinions and beliefs with evidence and this leads to the highest level of academic thinking.

How mature is your mind? The ultimate goal is to gain a greater level of sanity. In the end you will be a more healthier and happier person. The fact that one will gain greater self- fulfilment is a great stimulus for obtaining maturity.
