Majority of people are skeptic about the true power and the effectiveness of subliminal messages hidden in songs or videos. While they listen to the songs or watch the videos, most people can’t help but try to consciously look for or listen for the hidden messages.

Usually, subliminal videos and audio being marketed to help improve mind power and help you achieve a variety of promised benefits tell you exactly what messages are being delivered so you can choose which is most effective for you.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of folks out there that use subliminal messages to exercise control over other people against their will. There is now much controversy about the use of subliminal messages in advertising, movies, and music as the viewers or listeners usually do not know what messages are being planted in their minds.

If you don’t want to fall prey to negative subliminal messages that may be used to control you without your knowledge, you should know how to find a subliminal message in a song.

Backmasking. One of the most commonly used ways of hiding these coded messages in songs is backmasking. Usually, these messages are hidden so expertly that you need to do something different to the song before you can hear it. For example, you have to play it more slowly than its normal tempo, or you have to listen extra carefully to the sound of the words, not the lyrics. So by definition, backmasking is the technique of putting messages that can be heard when the song is played backwards. Usually, it’s either the musical sounds or the lyrics themselves that form the hidden words. A number of musical celebrities have already admitted to intentionally putting hidden messages through backmasking, so this is one method you should watch out for.

But what kinds of messages should you be watching out for?

Subliminal Suggestions. Songs may contain subliminal suggestions. A song called “Stained Class” by Judas Priest was said to have contained the suggestive message “Do it!” hidden in it. The song became controversial because it drove two people to commit suicide. It’s still considered a hot topic whether the song is to be entirely blamed. After all, the suggestion was did not indicate anything about suicide. Experts assert that subliminal messages only reinforce thoughts and desires that already exist in people’s minds before they even heard the subliminal messages.

Subliminal messages of a negative nature. Pop songs that contain subliminal messages usually become branded as negative because of the negative nature of the messages hidden in them. The top two most effective and common topics of the messages hidden in songs are said to be sex and religion. Several songs have been reported to have links to occultism, satanism, and so on.

Although there are some songs that actually contain positive hidden messages, they don’t become half as popular and controversial as those that have negative hidden messages. The fact is that these topics sell, but they may also have negative effects.

So make sure to watch out for any hidden messages in songs. Look for subliminal audio that is specifically designed to send positive messages to your brain.
