“A Multi-Purpose Plant For Healing the World”

Great for the GI tract, helps with coughs, clears away phylum, and helps to prevent kidney stones, boosts up our immune system, lowers cholesterol, soothes the GI tract, and helps to prevent cancer. And this plant is also used for cooking, used for making rope, lubricants, dyes, and more.

Where it Grows - This plant likes warm tropical climates but will grow in subtropical and other areas of the world as an annual. It’s part of the hibiscus family and has red flower and long leaves. Asian Sour Leaf enjoys loamy soil and lots of water and sun. This plant can be found in Asia, China, Papua New Guinea, Africa, Australia, India, Pakistan, Mexico, the Caribbean, Jamaica, Florida, Southern Texas, Southern California, and many other places.

Other Names - Also called Sabdariffa Linn in Latin. Other names are Florida Cranberry, Guinea Sorrel, Indian Sorrel, Jamaica tea flower, Jamaican Sorrel, Jelly Okra, Java Jute, Karkadé, Nubia tea, Asian Sour Leaf, Natal Sorrel, Queensland Jelly Plant, Pink Lemonade, Red Sorrel, Rosella, Red Tea, Rozelle, Sorrel, plus Sour-Sour.

Parts Used - The red flowers and leaves are used for healing and in cooking. The seeds can be roasted and are edible and the roots are edible but not commonly used.

Immune Boosting Agent - Asian Sour Leaf is full of great antioxidants that help to boost up our immune system and prevent disease.

Helps with Flus and Colds - Because Asian Sour Leaf is full of powerful antioxidants it also prevents colds and flu and shortens their duration and also helps to get rid of the phylum.
