Everyone faces difficulties in life such as loss of job, loss of family member, ill-health, financial crisis etc.; we too would have faced many. But we may not have faced them with a positive thinking, as we usually get trapped into negative thoughts, the moment we come across any difficult situation.

Think about it! - Have we ever got any solution to our problems through negative thoughts? No. Instead it may have further deteriorated the already-bad situation, isn’t it?

For example, say, we got into a conflict with someone and thereafter we developed negativity against that person. And because of negativity, our relationship with that person gets spoilt. Our external behavior may be courteous, but if our thoughts continue to remain negative for the person, they get transmitted to the other person in the form of vibrations. These negative vibrations affect the other person badly which further ruins the relationship and it makes both feel miserable in life.

And instead, if we adopt positive thinking, would it not have a better impact in our life?
It definitely would. Just like negative thinking results in misery, when we adopt positive thinking in every situation and with every person, we feel light and happy.
Let’s see the amazing results that we receive when we imbibe positive thinking in life:

1.Positive thoughts help us build onto our skills as they make us more creative. Say we get stuck in some situation and if we start thinking positively, no matter what, we will find some solution and come out of that situation.

2.Positive thinking broadens our vision to look at things differently and thus promotes our overall development in all aspects of life.

3.While negativity eats up our time and energy, and leaves us feeling exhausted and frustrated, positive words are a source of encouragement. They boost us and keep us happily motivated and energetic all the time. Positive words are an outcome of positive thinking.

4.Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan says’ “There is tremendous energy in the word ‘yes’ and tremendous weakness in the word ‘no’.” By saying the words, “YES, I CAN DO IT”, half of the battle gets won then and there.

5.Positive emotions are stress busters, not only for us but also for people around us. It charges the whole environment and has the power to transform any difficult situation or person.

6.Positivity helps us solve problems whereas negativity creates even more entanglements. If we get failure in any task we’ve taken up, rather than getting upset and entering into the realm of negativity, taking it positively and learning from our mistakes will take us higher up on our path of development. Failures are not the end of the world, rather they are an opportunity to identify and improve upon our weaknesses.

7.Param Pujya Dadashri says, “The rule of circumstances is that one weak circumstance will pull together many other weak circumstances and one strong circumstance will pull together many other strong circumstances.” Positive thinking inevitably brings in positive evidences.

8.It’s our negative intellect that doesn’t allow us to see positive in the other person. Always look for positive in people. When we see any positive quality in others and appreciate it, the same quality manifests in us too. By nature, what we give to others, we receive the same back. So why spread negativity, rather be smart and see positive.

9.We usually feel frustrated when some higher authority keeps bothering us by imposing on us their way of doing things. If we use our positive thinking, they are teaching us to do things better. And even if something goes wrong, if we followed what we were asked to do, there will not be any conflict then.

10.By having positive thoughts, we will not see others’ fault or will not hold others responsible for anything. As a result, we will not have any grudges or conflict with others and we will be able to win others heart and settle our karmic accounts with equanimity. Eg. if someone serves us food with less salt, take it positive by saying that eating less salt is good for health.

11.During ill-health, positive thoughts help us remain calm and heal ourselves faster. Once Param Pujya Dadashri had a fracture in his leg. When people would ask him how is he, he would say the process of getting fracture was already done when it happened, now the recovery process has already started. By having similar thought process, we would avoid being fretful and it will help us heal faster too.

12.Per spiritual science, the topmost positive vision is to see Pure Soul in everyone; and the topmost understanding is that circumstances come together and the work gets done. No one is independent doer in this world and therefore no individual is at fault. Everyone who has attained liberation has seen the world as faultless.

Param Pujya Dadashri says, “Adopt one principle in life; always remain positive, never support negative. Whenever any negativity arises, remain silent.” Come, let us too decide today, to practice this principle in our life!
