If we think that this life has a purpose, then just what is it we are supposed to learn? After life is said and done will we have learned all the things what we were supposed to? To add meaning to life it is worthwhile to think about some of the things we think we should learn in life.
Would you want to be LeBron James for a day? If they were really asked this question, most people would probably answer with a resounding, YES (and for more than a day). Having whatever you want whenever you want sounds pretty good to most people. Also, having people know who you are and respecting you for your abilities could also be something people like. However, looking at things from the outside might be very different than looking at it from the inside. WHAT, you might ask? There might also be some down sides to fame and fortune that people do not think so much about.

Okay. As someone in Cleveland, Ohio there are special times. Special because, as most people know, the Cleveland Cavaliers are in the N.B.A. Finals. And, unlike the last time, they are contenders with a chance to compete. This accomplishment is not taken lightly in these parts, And you don't have to look far to know what the key cog was. Like it or not, they are real and they want to kill you. They make the evening news from being more and more gruesome and appalling than the week before. Some say they must do this to get attention, even if it goes against what they believe in. They are, of course, the Islamic State. America is reluctantly at "war" with them, no matter how little we understand. The author also claims ignorance about what they are about. It might be a medieval group, as some say. Others say they have to be harsh to get people's attention.
"Under all disorder there is an underlying order." The author thinks this is an interesting quote from psychiatrist and psychotherapist Carl Jung. It is interesting because the word "disorder" seems to imply that things are "haphazard", so to speak. What Dr. Jung seems to implying in this quotation is that things make sense if you look at the disorder at a deeper level (underlying order). The Collective Unconscious
The comment caught me off guard. Sometimes you go through the motions of daily life, and then something sticks out. This was one of those moments. We were talking about how cynical this world can be, and it can even cause a person to doubt themselves sometimes. The author has a known lack of confidence, and even self-worth. (Orphans have that). These kinds of topics are nothing really new. But, then it came, out of nowhere. The comment (actually a question): "Are you saying God made a mistake in creating you, or that he made a mistake in trying to redeem you?" Wow.
Is anything bothering you today? - A job? - A significant other? - Finances? - Car trouble? - Not having enough time? Any or all of these things could be bothering you at a given time. When the problems linger what do you do? Perhaps: - Abuse a substance? - Turn to a hobby? - Watch television? What is the point, you ask? When we examine our problems in life they can usually be attributed, AT THE CORE, to our relationships with other people, or the lack thereof. If we look at the examples above we could interpret them in this way.
Once in a while I do it. By do it, I mean look at things through a different lens, like through sports. This time I just couldn't resist looking at a sporting scenario to demonstrate a religious belief, as an Ohio State football fan. Their run to the title this year was so unexpected, so amazing, so unique and so fulfilling it is worthy of a blog post. It seems like a fitting, relatable way to demonstrate a point. The Underdogs

As these articles pertain to spirituality and the meaning of life there are some questions that come up repeatedly. It does not mean there are definitive answers, but one can try to respond to them. A logical question would be to ask where the author gets his information. Do you ever look at other people and think if you just had what they had you would be happy (content)? Perhaps a celebrity, or even someone you work with or see regularly? "They have it made", you think to yourself. If you could only have what they had you would be happy, too. The reality, though, is that life will likely throw you some time of curve over the long term. It could be people letting you down, feeling too hot or cold, health problems and aging, accidents, unjust legal problems, or - of course - the unexpected things you never saw coming.
What do you think? You might be pro-religion or anti-religion, but either way you might notice a decline in religious values in America today. This is a spiritual blog and the changes might impact you in some way. This post looks at the decline of religious influence in contemporary America and what it might mean. Didn't the beginning of America go back to pilgrims fleeing religious persecution from an English King? They wanted to do it on their own terms. Let's take it from there.
Are you where you want to be in life? This is kind of a hard question to answer, isn't it? People ask this question occasionally in life, though, so it is worth thinking about. It seems like a pertinent question for anyone to think about. However, answering it implies you know the answer to another question, which is "Do you know where you want to be in life?" (So many questions.) Where Are You In Your Life?
When was the last time someone upset you in a way which put a damper on your day? Perhaps you though something was so unjust that it even changed your perception of the other person. Was it last month, last week or maybe even today? If you are anything like the author of these blogs, then these things can have an adverse affect on your daily life. This includes things such as concentrating, doing what needs to be done or putting off things altogether. At times like these we can begin to get irrational.
It is said the Bible gives a way of responding to any human situation. As an example, surely God foresaw the nature of humans when he mentioned "Doubting Thomas" in Scripture. Doubting Thomas, as most of us are probably familiar with, said something paraphrased as: "I'll believe it when I see it" - Bible
The title of the blog is "Adding Meaning To Daily Life For Enhancement." And a picture. (Not very fond of it, but a picture nonetheless). The logical question of the post reader is, "Why do you want to get more out of life?". What is wrong with it the way it is? Maybe nothing. But as someone who has reached middle age, knowing how fast life goes by leaves one to think about where one is heading, and are there other things you still want to do? Looking at things differently can help you realize what you want out of life and help motivate you to try to get it.
