Choicepoint- Put your stake in the sand

Are you crystal clear on what you truly want for your life and for your business? Have you put your “stake in the sand” for what you want…. for what you believe in? Now is the time. Author-scientist Gregg Braden teaches, we are in an unprecedented time on the planet and that human beings are moving into higher levels of consciousness. Braden calls the shift of higher consciousness a shift to the 4th Level. Based on extensive research and calculations, Braden teaches that w

Bye-Bye Overwhelm

Overwhelmed? Have too many projects floating at the same time that you find you are not able to focus, make progress and get things done? This is so common! In coaching my clients, this challenge of “so much to do” and feeling overwhelmed is one of the most important things to address. If your “to-do list is beginning to look like a never ending list of “shoulds”, you’re probably feeling tired before you get started with your day. Not a great way to live and actually a very

Do you have an email addiction?

A good friend and colleague of mine, was close to tears when we talked recently. She was feeling overwhelmed and frazzled and with the all the responsibilities of her own business. Her self confidence was sagging. As we talked, a major obstacle was revealed. She was an E-mail Slave. The magnitude of e-mails she was reading each day was absolutely mind-boggling. Her belief was that being efficient and productive meant being on call 24/7 with her e-mail, checking and respondi

What's Wrong With Multitasking?

You may be doing something terribly wrong! Are you a person who has so much on your plate that you juggle several things all at the same time? Do you pride yourself on your multi-tasking abilities? Is this scenario familiar to you? You’re on a conference call and simultaneously scanning your emails, grabbing a bite to eat and jotting down notes for tomorrow’s presentation? If yes, keep reading. You may be thinking, I’m doing pretty well at the balancing act and I’m someone

Creating More Authentic Connections in Your Business and Your Life

Is it just me, or are we all swimming in a sea of messages, texts, Facebook invitation, updates from LinkedIn, the Twittersphere and voice mails (landlines & cells)? I know of someone who actually carries 2 phones on him at all times. He drops what he’s doing and dutifully bids the phones commands…every time. The irony is that with all this connection, you’d think we’d really feel connected. Truth is though, most people don’t. In fact we’re craving more intimacy. We want t

Is Your Financial Comfort Zone Keeping You Stuck?

Are you someone who likes security, being in control and "knowing" what's next? OR Are you someone who delights in uncertainty and enjoys challenging yourself? The majority of us fall somewhere in the middle and we tend to stick with what we are familiar with. Most people are creatures of habit, from how we brush our teeth to how we handle our finances. Let's be real, it's feels a lot easier to keep things the same than to change our habits. You may make the decision to up

Would You Like to Have More Success and Fulfillment in Your Life?

A house is only as strong as its foundation. My husband, a home builder, taught me this important piece of wisdom. Without a well designed, solid infrastructure, a house is doomed to constant problems and costly repairs. Do you remember the hilarious movie, Money Pit? The newlyweds idyllic vision of a happy, harmonious home were put to the test as they found themselves having to fix one disaster after another. Just as a house requires strong foundation, so do we. Our persona

A Fresh Perspective on “Time Management”

It’s the wonderful, beautiful month of May! Our environment suddenly “wakes up”--- trees pop their leaves, plants push themselves up and out of the ground, flowers bloom. Our “grey” landscape has become colorful, alive and vibrant. I have noticed in conversations with clients, colleagues, fellow parents and friends that our lives have suddenly “popped” too! Opportunities and events to attend are abundant. Some focus may find ourselves a bit overwhelmed with the sudden increas

Do the Worst Thing First!

Calling all procrastinators (there’s a lot of us!). Would you like to make significant headway with your project this week? Do the “worst” thing first. Are You Flying By the Seat of Your Pants?

Are you flying by the seat of your pants? In other words, are you constantly "winging" it and putting out fires as they occur? Do you wake up every day and gird yourself for the onslaught of what might be in store for you and your day ahead? Although this "flying by the seat of your pants" approach does require flexibility, a keen focus, and several Starbucks double lattes. It is also a recipe for constant drama and distractions. The drama and distractions will be hampering y

What stage of growth is your business in?

We’ve got a beautiful lush planting in my garden called periwinkle. We learned that “periwinkle” grows according to its own rhythm: the first year it “sleeps”, the second year it “creeps”, and the third year it “leaps”. Had we not known and trusted this natural growth process, we would have been frustrated and unhappy with the periwinkle. We might have tried to force growth by aggressively over fertilizing or worse case scenario, rip out the plants complaining that they weren

If I told you that you could be happier, wealthier and wiser today and all you needed to do was one thing. Would you do it? I'll let you in on a secret.
