Success is often not pretty. We can be falling to pieces behind the scenes but the show must go on. You have to keep your big boy/girl pants on and keep doing the things you know to bring the money in the door. \ No matter what stage of the game you're in, there are going to be times where you are financially sufferi
I used to have a bad habit of creating new ways to generate money every month. None of my new offerings had earth-shattering results, but that didn't stop me from trying to reinvent the wheel. Apparently, I didn't notice my pattern of working hard for little ROI. \ If you think you may be in a profit rut, ask your
The end of the year can either be one of the most relaxing times or it can be hectic. Sometimes it’s a little of both. Preparation for the holidays and travel are only a part of the year-end priorities. \ The end of the year is a good time for reflection on what has been and what you’d like to create for the c
Telling people what you do is pretty easy if they are willing to intently listen for 5-10 minutes while you give them examples and analogies. Even straightforward professions and products require a bit of dialogue. Passionate business owners have so much they want to explain that it can be painful to formulate
If you’re a deliberate creator on any level, you know that your thoughts and emotions produce the results you experience in your life. Yes, you create it all. And often you co-create with the many people that surround you. Consciously making choices in your business to use the Law of Attraction to help you d
It’s funny how often I have tricked myself into thinking that I have a certain end result in mind but upon further examination, I notice that I’m really committed to something else. For instance, in the past I’d tell myself that I wanted to create a certain amount of income a month. Yet, month after month I would
Being confused, unclear, overwhelmed or broke are choices. But who the heck wants to hear that?! \ I was coaching a business team recently and asked the group, “What do you need to step into, that will take you to your personal edge? What is something you want to experience more fully at work?” \ The an
When you look for a way out of any corner, the first thing you usually ask yourself is, “What do I need to do?” It’s an okay question to begin the process of moving into solution. But an even better question is, “What was I focusing on that led me into this corner?”
Have you ever thought … “I’m not sure what action to take first? And I’m not sure the action I take will get the results I want.” \ Here’s a question to remedy that issue: \ What do I feel most inspired to do? \ If you can let go of what you’re “supposed” to do, you’ll usually
I remember the exact moment that my current coaching format popped into my head. I was doing a visualization during my second workshop at the Coaches Training Institute. I clearly saw myself coaching ten clients at $1000 a month. I was working in depth with them and loving how much time I could offer them. \ But I
There’s a very good chance you know the value of getting new perspectives on how to grow your business. And you probably understand the value of getting feedback about how to improve your business from someone on the outside. \ But there is one set of eyes that you may not be fully leveraging. \ And what if
People often poke fun at the thought of having a magic wand. I don’t think there’s anything funny about making your life hard. We each have a magic wand called intention. You have to clarify your request and then make the decision that it will be so. \ I’m one of millions (probably even billions) of people
I recently posted on Facebook that I lost 15 pounds in six weeks. Of all the topics I've covered before, this one received the most "likes" and comments. I was shocked. Naturally, people really wanted to know my secret. \ The short answer: I went on a raw foods cleanse and joined the gym. \ The majority of
The experts say, “Raise your prices. Slash your prices. Follow this model. Give it away for free. Jack up your price and then put in on sale or give huge commissions to those selling it.” When you’re a heart-centered CEO you want your customers to feel like they received great value from your products an
Sir Francis Bacon said, “Knowledge is power.” I agree that acquiring new information can help you sift through the many choices in life and make wise ones. I also happen to think that the quest for knowledge can be a big stumbling block to success.

If you have a DVD, CD or digital training program in your possession that is sitting there waiting for you to finish it, raise your hand. I’m raising my hand right now. I have a marketing video series sitting next to my desk - half finished. It was a gift, but when I first received it, I was plowing through the marke
You probably consider yourself a person who is kind and does your best to play by the Golden Rule. But as coach, I get to peek behind your curtain. I know that some of the seemingly nicest people are downright mean and nasty. You’re mean and nasty to yourself. Wicked. Brutal. Verging on abusive.
I seriously hated the idea of creating a marketing plan the first time I was advised to create one. I didn’t know where to start, it sounded hard and I honestly didn’t know what it meant. \ After a few years I changed my mind about the marketing plan and I began creating one every year. As usual, I kept it sim
If you were flying a plane do you think it would call forth an intense focus in you? It does for me. I'm on the edge of my seat looking for other planes, watching my altimeter and speed. I'm also looking to see if my wings are level, as I tend to lean to the right (hmmm, I do the same thing in skydiving, wonder what th
“I need a cash infusion!” \ I’ve said that hundreds of times to myself. Bills were due and I didn’t have enough money to cover them. I needed money to come in quick. I usually worried for a bit, and then decided to focus on a solution. Mostly I pulled it off. But barely. \ It took a ton of inner game
Give me a good book to read and I have a slice of heaven in my hands. One of my favorite types to read is true stories of survival. I'm hosting a book club at my house this month and my book choice is the mack-daddy survival story of all time: Unbroken. It follows Olympic athlete Louis Zamperini, through his life of ho
Every December and January, millions of people sit down with a pen and paper to write out their goals for the year. Many of the goals are exciting because they’re fresh out the creativity pool. Other goals are quite irritating because they’ve been on the goal list before and didn’t come to fruition. They can igni
It’s normal to put off things in life until you have the money to do them. But does it have to be that way? \ Absolutely not! \ Never wait until the money shows up or you’ll spend most of your time waiting. And while you wait, you’ll be thinking about the many things for which you are waiting.
I never tire of stories of survival of any kind. I like to learn from them the values, beliefs and actions that supported them to come out of a crisis situation where it seemed the “odds” were against them.
Hesitation. \ It's a daily occurrence and yet you may not even know it's happening. \ Hesitation is a pause. A doubt. A question. \ Is it fear or your Inner Guidance speaking? If you pay attention to that gut feeling of hesitancy, you'll gain clarity on which action steps to take to be a happy, wealthy b
For more than a few years, I’ve been a slave to email. I was very aware of it and sought help. I got some relief, but email still felt like it was cracking its whip on me. \ By the way, if you’ve got the email thing down, I don’t want to hear about all the different strategies I can use to reduce email. I've
If you know anything about the Law of Attraction, this is the one thing that is forgotten so easily. There is a delay in time, quite often, from the time you decide what you’d like to manifest until the time you experience the evidence that the Universe is about to deliver your goods. \ Now that I’ve reminded
Many entrepreneurs dream of doing what they love and getting highly paid for it. Not me. I was so off-my-rocker excited about the process of coaching that I left my first coaches training session and went directly to educating people on the power of coaching. I probably seemed like a newbie network marketer who just wa
Wouldn’t it be great if there were a magic formula you could follow to know what actions to take, and when, so that you could always get the best results in every project or business you focus on? \ There really isn’t a cookie cutter, step-by-step plan that you can use to prioritize action steps. However, the
When you have a goal or desire that is important to you, do you ever go into mental overdrive before you see the results? I know I have. I watch my clients do it, too. \ You can go into overdrive in several ways: *Think about every scenario possible that could go wrong *Think about solutions for every
Man, oh, man! Why do business owners get so serious about each action step they take? \ Nothing in business is set in stone. There are no guarantees that if you do something well once, that it will keep on working. You could have the best product or service and you may not make enough profits. \ I'm not tryin
Do you pride yourself on being able to put out fires in your business faster than the best firefighters? Are you able to dodge bullets in a single leap? Is it your job to turn every no into a yes? Are you masterful at living on a shoe-string budget? \ If you answer yes to any of the above, or even wished you coul
I think most people will agree that keeping your word is a good thing. I know that when someone tells me they are going to do something that will positively impact me in some way, I want them to follow through. \ Yet, the flip side of this value of integrity can take you into a tailspin. I’ve spent many a coachi
What's the best way to attract massive prosperity? If you knew, you'd already be doing it right? \ You have the formula right under your nose and may not know it. \ The answer is similar to this riddle … \ Q: How do you eat an elephant? \ A. One bite at a time. \ The same is true for creating pr
When my mentor and mastermind group told me they were confused about my brand, I became confused. What? I’m the Law of Attraction coach. Hello, people. Can you hear me?! Isn’t it obvious what I offer? \ Apparently, they heard me fine - I was putting out mixed messages. I offered many solutions for lots of pro
It felt like a wake-up call the first time I heard the seminar leader say, “Casualness breeds Casualty.” \ He was referring to how we treat our goals and the people on our team. When we don’t give them our intention and attention, they fizzle instead of sizzle. \ I’ve never forgotten that phrase, but
I love money. I mean I really love it. I love making it and I love spending it. I even like paying my monthly bills. Money makes me happy. And when we talk about how the Laws of Manifestation work, happiness attracts money. It’s a beautiful circle. \ Not everyone feels this way. Some people don’t want to deal
I don't know about you, but I struggled mightily trying to figure out how to make a quantum leap in my business. Funny thing is that anytime my profits jumped up in a significant way, it was never the way I had intended. \ Does that mean that you can't plan for a big profit increase? \ You can absolutely env
I’m very clear that the way I pay myself each month would not be endorsed by your bookkeeper or accountant. It’s just unorthodox (I’ll say more about this later). But then again, the way most solopreneurs pay themselves is by seeing what is leftover after paying all of their expenses. What happens if there is not
Recently, I registered for a three-day marketing event intending that I would walk away with a new and brilliant tagline for my company. I felt that the tagline would solve several of my marketing issues. I was straight up desperate. \ I filled my notebook with tons of next steps during that event, but the taglin

You have great business ideas and opportunities coming to you every day. Yes, even those of you in slumps have them. But having great ideas and opportunities doesn't always equal money in the bank. Even random acts of networking, marketing and planning don't necessarily mean any new business will come your way.
You have two choices in your business … be a pro or be an amateur. \ Professionals (pros) are people who take their hobby, sport or passion seriously. They’ve decided they’re no longer satisfied with being an amateur. They want the challenge and fulfillment of fully living into their potential. \ And wh
I began my coaching career in my late twenties and I was very aware that I seemed to be one of the youngest guns in the bunch. When I went to professional networking meetings, I acted like my normal outgoing and fun self. When I was teaching a live seminar or communicating in my ezine I did my best to be professional.
I knew that it might unfold this way, but I prayed it wouldn’t. A sixteen year old at my gym was arrested for allegedly murdering his family. I knew all the details long before they were released to the press, even though I didn’t know him personally. \ I struggled with all the negative thoughts in my head abo

I’ve always thought everyone is a little weird, or at least everyone has a weird quirk or two. I owned up to my weirdness long ago. If you don’t believe me ask my high school classmates about my white and green striped jumpsuit or my giant 85 dangle earrings. You may think that being weird is fine when
Over a decade ago, my professional organizer asked me why I kept my office supplies in the particular place they were sitting. I had no idea why I put them there. I never thought much about how my office was organized. The only things I cared about in my office were having the best equipment and pretty décor. (My fav
