It wasn't until after I had seen the trailer that I become interested in watching this film. I didn't know much about Margaret Thatcher (Not that this film can be completely trusted in its portrayal of her), but what I did know is that this looked to be a powerful film. The films tagline 'never compromise' also caught my attention.
In the world of psychology and personal development, there is a term that is often used called secondary gain. This is a gain that is often hidden and unknown at a conscious level. And although the word ‘gain’ is typically used in a positive manner, in this instance, it is not a positive gain. This gain could be creating all kinds of problems and dramas in one’s life. But due to how important this gain is to the unconscious mind, it is irrelevant that it is in conflict with what one consciously wants. What Is It?
When it comes to healing or moving on from the past; some people progress a lot faster than others. There are also other situations where some people are perpetually caught up in their past and feel as if nothing is changing. Now, the past that one has had and the pain and trauma that may have been experienced in this past are not to be dismissed or played down. The story that one has is unique and deserves to be respected. The Intention
One of the first songs I heard from Daniel Kandi was ‘’Make Me Believe’’, and at the time of its release, I was blown away. Although this song is now over five years old, it is still one of my favourite songs. Since then, I have heard many other productions and remixes from Daniel.
To be validated as a child is highly important in creating a functional and psychologically healthy adult. When this validation is not received and a child is invalidated, it can lead to all kinds of problems If a child is abused in some way, one of the most important things, if not the most important, is for the individual to be validated and acknowledged for what happened in their childhood. In order for what has happened to be healed and processed the individual will need to be acknowledged and validated for their story. Acknowledgement And Validation
When it comes to my journey of self awareness, there are some people who stand out when I look back on where I have come from. And one of those people is Dov Baron. This is a guy who was born in Manchester in England and is based in Canada. The Interview Many years ago I heard him speak on an interview series and on there he was primarily speaking about the Ego Mind and The Law Of Resonance. And little did I know at this point, how much of an influence this guy would make to my life.
In today’s world the general approach towards sex has changed and instead of it being something that one engages in after a certain time, it can take place without too much time having passed. And like most things in life, there are pros and cons to this type of behaviour. For some people, having sex will lead to nothing more than physical pleasure and there won’t be any emotional ties created as a result. And then there will be other people who find it difficult to separate the physical side of things from the emotional.
Associations have incredible power and they are occurring in many areas of life. Ones relationships with: family, friends, lovers and professional relationships are all being affected by associations. As well as ones experience with the world and to material things. Brands rely heavily on the power of associations to create familiarity and loyalty to their product. How valuable and sought-after something is, will often be the result of what is associated to the brand. And this whole process of association is not only happening exte ally, it is also happening in our minds.
I do not claim to be an expert on astrology or someone that see's astrology as the be and end all. For me, it is another point of interest and something that can be used as a mirror; to assist in self awareness and awareness of others. What I am going to take a closer look at here is how the ego minds associations can and do shape people’s views on astrology.
While some people are able to drink alcohol or even take drugs without their whole life being taken over, there are others who are not able to exercise the same level of self-control. If they were to drink or to even take drugs, they would soon find that their life has been taken over. One is then unable to go a day without drinking and/or taking drugs and they have then lost their self-control. But while it would be easy to say that these are the people who have problems and the people who don’t drink or use drugs are fine, this would be far from the truth. Addicts
When it comes to what a woman is going to be like, a man will have a set of expectations. And sometimes these can be consciously known and at other times, they can be completely unconscious. However, no matter whether these are conscious or unconscious, they will still have a massive impact on their relationships with the opposite sex. So if these expectations are generally fulfilling and functional, there is unlikely to be too many challenges that arise from having them.
It is often said that one’s friends are the family they choose, and this is why someone can feel as close to their fiends as they can to their family. In some instances, the connection one has with their friends could be greater than the connection they have with their family. When this happens, it could be a sign that one doesn’t have much of a connection with their family, and this can then cause them to see their friends in a different light. They are then not just fiends; they are far more important. Appreciation
When one experiences eye contact from another person it can cause them to feel: acknowledged, respected and important. And yet when this doesn’t take place, one can end up feeling: ignored, disrespected and unimportant. Eye contact could be seen as something that is relatively effortless and takes very little energy to apply. It doesn’t cost anything and one is unlikely to run out of energy through it. But while it can be easy to do, and the impact it has can be monumental, it doesn’t mean that everyone utilizes this power in their life.
It is not uncommon to hear how important it is to be kind to others and while this is important, it is also important for people to be kind to themselves. In fact, if one is kind to themselves, they‘re more likely to be kind to other people. The reason there is a greater focus on how someone treat others is partly because it is a lot easier to notice how one treats others than it is to notice how they treat themselves. As a result of this, what is taking place internally is often overshadowed by what is taking place exte ally. Social Conditioning
The trailer to this film really caught my eye and stood out like very few films do. And while some are quiet engaging and interesting, this was gripping and instantly pulled me in. It soon became apparent that George Clooney and Sandra bullock were in the film. After watching it, I mentioned the film to a few friends and decided that I was going to see it. So it could be said that my expectations were high and I thought I was in for something special.
When it comes to how men behave around women, there are two types of behaviour that are often spoken about. On one side, there is the man who acts as though he doesn’t care and, on the other, there is the man who cares too much. Two Sides There is then a spectrum, and a man can be on one side of it or he can be on the other side. If he doesn’t have the need to please women, he could be called a ‘bad boy’, but if he does have the need to please them, he could be called a ‘nice guy’.
When it comes to the consequences of abuse, there are many and some will be more severe than others. One of these consequences is that it usually creates uncertainty in the victim. And this has the potential to create all kinds of problems, because to the degree that one feels uncertain within, will play a large role in how much power and control the abuser has. This uncertainly then becomes, if you will, the open door for them to enter and create all kinds of damage.
In the world of psychology and self realisation there are two terms that are often mentioned. And these are known as the true self and the false self. One usually comes to understand what is true about oneself, as a consequence of becoming aware of what is not true. By seeing the contrast or space between these two options; it becomes possible for one to gain a clearer perspective. Where Do I Begin?
When people talk about what it means to be an adult, being independent is never too far away. Here, one will be empowered to live their own life and to support themselves. So whereas a child is dependent on their caregivers to survive, an adult is not dependent on anyone in particular.
Ones purpose could be described as a combination of factors. With ones dreams, goals, intensions and behaviour all combining to express and fulfil this often elusive thing known as ‘purpose’. Some people say it is something we find and others see it as something that we create. Dreams
When I heard that the film was all about taking down the master control system I was instantly intrigued. Although I hadn't seen the first film I went with friends to see what it was all about. And with it being in Disney Digital 3D, I had a feeling it was going to be good.
If someone wants to use the internet, they no longer need to sit in front of a computer; the only thing they need to do it to use a Smartphone. This means that one can go online no matter where they are or what they are doing. As a result of this, going online has become a normal part of life as opposed to something one does every now and then. It is then easy for someone to take it for granted and to no longer appreciate what they have at their finger tips. Age
I was thinking the other night while I was getting to sleep, how being on one of those flat elevators at the airport is a great metaphor for describing how friends come and go in our life. While we are on them some people stay at the same speed as us, going only as fast as the elevator takes them, others might stay at our speed momentarily and then move and others are in such a rush to get forward as fast as is possible for them.
There are a number of ways in which someone can see themselves, and while some of these ways are empowering there are others that are not. For example, if one was to see themselves as someone who is successful, it is likely to have a positive effect on their life. However, if they were to see themselves as someone who is not successful, it is likely to have a negative effect. Still, if one was saw themselves in this way and then started to change their life, it could be said that they are simply facing reality. The First Step
If one saw perfect skin in the past, it may have been because they were looking at images in a magazine; however, if one was to come across perfect skin in today’s world, it could be because they are using social media. And as one can use social media whenever they like, it also means that they can see perfect skin whenever they like.
If one liked a certain song in the past, they would either have had to wait for it to be on the radio or they would have had to go and buy it. However, in today’s world, one no longer needs to buy a song; the only thing they need to do is to go onto the internet and to do a search. And after a fee seconds, they should be able to stream the song for free. Films
Although one may want to commit to a relationship, it doesn’t mean that they feel comfortable doing so. On one side they may have to have the need to be with someone and at the same time, it could be something they fear. And while this could be something that only has an impact on their relationships, it could also affect other areas of their life. When it comes to their career for instance, one could find that they are unable to stick to anything for very long.
If a man behaves in a negative or destructive manner, it is often put down to ‘toxic masculinity’. This is something that a feminist on TV can come out with, as well as someone who isn’t a feminist. Now, it could be said that this is because feminists have a good understanding of what is going on in the world – they have their finger on the pulse, so to speak. Another way of looking at it would be to say that it is simply due to the fact that they are often the kind of people who are given a platform. Different Views
If one pays attention to the mainstream media, they are likely to see that they give a lot of exposure to celebrities. But even if this wasn’t the case, they would only need to pick up a paper to realise this. This is not to say that all news sources give them the same amount of exposure though, as there are going to be certain sources that give them more than others. As a result, one could pick up one paper and find that they are only mentioned a few times, or they pick up another and find that they receive far more exposure. Primary Interest
Although life is rarely black and white, it doesn’t mean that some people won’t see it as being this way. And while most people are going to see it this way from time to, there are going to be others who are unable to see it differently. They are then on one side or they are on the other and everything in between is overlooked. To see life this way is going mean that one doesn’t really have to think; all they have to do is to go with the first response that their mind comes up with.
There will be times when one will want to spend time by themselves and there will be times when they want to be around others. This is not to say that one will spend the same amount of time with others as they will by themselves; as it is not black and white. How one spends their time will depend on a number of factors and this means there is no such thing as the ‘right approach’. However, as one is a ‘social animal’, it will be important for them to spend time with others. Two Extremes
In the past, a gym membership was not something that many people had, and while this was partly because of the cost, it was also due to the fact that there wasn’t as much pressure on people to exercise. This is not to say that people have only recently been encouraged to exercise; what it comes down to is that there is now a greater focus on how people look. During this time, it wouldn’t be much of a surprise to see a man use weights, but the same can’t be said about a woman. If they were using weights, it could have been a sign that they were some kind of athlete, for instance.
There is the potential for one to experience pain in all areas of their body. These can relate to one having a headache, stomach problems, tension in their shoulders and/or their lower back for instance. With it being highly likely one has experienced at least one of the above this year, let alone throughout their whole life. For some people, they could be regular experiences and what has become part of their everyday life.
In one form or another and under one name of another; bullying has been around for a very long time. And it is not limited to a specific environment and neither is it only experienced by a certain type of person. Human beings of all backgrounds can come face to face with this type of behaviour. Bullying The meaning of bullying on google.com is – (To) use superior strength or influence to intimidate (someone), typically to force him or her to do what one wants.
Although there is no such thing as a perfect childhood, that doesn’t mean that everyone is treated in the same way. There are going to be some people who were treated well on most occasions and there are going to be others who had the opposite experience. In this case, one would have been treated badly on most occasions and this is what was normal for them. There is also the chance that one had a certain stage in their life where they were mistreated.
When one takes responsibility for how they feel, they are going to be seen as mature and self aware. And yet when one doesn’t take responsibility for how they feel in the majority of cases, they are likely to be seen as lacking awareness and being undeveloped. But while an outside observer can label them in this way and see their outlook as being self evident, to the person who doesn’t take responsibility for how they feel, they are likely to feel that they are in the right.
There are some people who do everything they can to be perfect and then there are other people who feel like a failure because they’re not perfect. And whether one can relate to this or not, perfection is nothing more than an illusion. It can’t be attained and so if one is doing everything they can to be perfect, it will be important for them to stop and to reflect on that fact that it is not possible to be perfect. And if one feels like a failure because they’re not perfect, it will be important for them to realise that no human being is or has ever been perfect.
On one side is the ability to give and on the other is the ability to receive. And it is often said that unless one can receive, then it won’t be possible for them to give. So the ability to receive is generally considered to be the most important aspect. This makes me think about how breathing works. One breathes air in and then breaths it out, but unless one could breathe air in (receive), then they wouldn’t have anything to breath out (give). And then one wouldn’t last very long as a result of this. So this example shows how important it is to receive.
In today’s world, depression has become a word that carries enormous weight; either for people who have it or for people who hear about it. It could also be described as a modern day taboo, with people often wanting to avoid the whole thing. However, what is clear is that depression is not something that can be ignored. It is a very real challenge in today’s world. And this is just one aspect of what are often described as ‘mental health’ problems.
One of the common challenges in relationships and a challenge that has existed throughout time is that of control. This can be something that is fairly subtle and anything but overwhelming. And then it can be so extreme, that one’s whole life is taken over by another person’s control. So there is going to be different degrees to control and therefore different consequences. But no matter what kind of control it is, there is going to be resistance to it and one is unlikely to just accept it.
Some people might believe that their thoughts are their own and that their environment has no effect on them whatsoever. And there are going to be other people who will see how their environment does affect them; but this may only relate to certain factors that are relatively easy to notice. Then there are going to be other people who realise that it is not just what they are aware of that is having an impact on what they are thinking, it is also what they are unaware of. Ones environment is then having a constant effect on what is going on in one’s mind. Taking Control
When someone is abused during their childhood years, they can end up doing the same thing and abusing others or they can put an end to the abuse. And based on how much pain one would have experienced when they were abused, it is often hard for people to understand why they would end up doing to others what was done to them.
If someone was abused at the beginning of their life, it is likely to mean that they experienced a lot of pain during this time. In addition to this, most, if not all, of their development needs might not have been met. As a result of this, even though a number of years will have passed since that time in their life, they might not be in a good way. It will then be clear to them that time will not heal what happened. One Big Challenge
Having needs is part of being human and this means that they can’t be overlooked or denied without certain consequences arising. This doesn’t mean that one will always have their needs met; this is not going to be possible. But if one’s life has taken on a pattern where their needs are rarely, if ever met, they are going to suffer. To expect to have them met all the time is also going to set one up to suffer. In order for one to have their needs met, they will need to be aware of what they are. And once they are aware of them, they will need to feel safe getting them met.
There is something that is known as self sabotage and what this actually means may not be clear to many people. So let’s look at what the word sabotage means first. On the dictionary.com website sabotage is described as: any underhand interference with production, work, etc., in a plant, factory, etc., as by enemy agents during wartime or by employees during a trade dispute. And as - any undermining of a cause.
After having interviewed a number of DJ’s and producers, I thought that it would be a good idea to interview someone from another profession. So after hearing about a stuntman from someone I know, I thought that it would be great to interview him. Through typing his name into Google, I was surprised by the amount of films that he had been in. were not small films, they were Hollywood blockbusters and included many of the films that I have enjoyed watching. Which include: Captain America, Thor, Skyfall and The Clash Of The Titans. Biography
If a man was to find out that a woman is unable to handle life and needs other people to prop her up, he could soon come to the conclusion that it would be better for him to move on. It will be only too clear that being with a woman like this is going to be more trouble than it’s worth. Two Parts Now, this is not to say that they won’t find her attractive, for instance, as they might be drawn to her appearance. What it means is that this is not going to be enough for them to do something that they will later regret.
When it comes to raising a child that is mentally and emotionally healthy and has a strong sense of self, it is imperative that they are validated. This is not to say that they have to be validated at all times in order to become a functional adult, but in most cases, it is vital that this happens. If this doesn’t occur, it can be due to a number of reasons. And one of these reasons is the result of abuse taking place. The Childs caregiver may be the person who is abusive in some way or it could be another family member that causes the damage.
It can be difficult to describe what abuse is and this is because the word ‘Abuse’ can mean different things to different people. For one person it might relate to emotional pain, for another it might involve physical pain. With there being different degrees of pain and hurt within these two forms of violence. As a general guideline: this could be behaviour that occurs here and there, without it happening often enough to cause too many problems. Or it could be experienced to such an extreme that one’s life becomes unbearable.
When a relationships ends, there is the chance that it will lead to one experiencing a lot of emotional pain. There is also the chance that one will be quiet happy with what has happened and although there may be a mild sense of loss for example, they will soon settle down and be on their way. It will depend on numerous factors as to how one feels when they experience the end of a relationship. Just because their relationship has finished, it doesn’t mean that it hadn’t finished a long time ago. Different Reasons
