De-stress FAST. Quick: ten things you can do right now — in ten minutes or less — to feel more alive, more awake, and more space to feel You again. 1. Take a bath. While a twenty-minute bath is awesome, just ten minutes of scented hot-water bliss can turn a day from ARGH to AHH. Make it really hot. Essential oils? Yes, please. Detox? Add a cup of sea salt. 2. Give your hands a break. Many of us carry tension in our hands. Mine used feel like claws some days. Take a break and massage your hands yourself, or get someone else to. Yummy.
Okay, now that I have your attention, let me say that a 5 minute orgasm is never a goal you should have in your mind. A big N-O on the outcome oriented orgasms. When you have expectations of any kind about what will happen during a sexual connection, you set yourself up for disappointment. This is part of the reason ...
Femininity is freedom and any woman who truly understands the fundamental importance of maintaining their feminine core, if their core is more feminine, will understand exactly what that means. It means that being rigid and structured to such a high level can degrade a woman’s personal well-being. She needs to be free to express herself, to love freely, and to wish the best for herself and for others.
Today’s women are empowered, even in global communities. In a wide range of industries, women are making names for themselves. Nearly gone are the days of the limited roles of women, thanks to the encouragement women are receiving and the training readily available, much of which is nurtured through the internet. And women’s empowerment is definitely making a great difference in the roles women are seeking to play in today’s global economy. It wasn’t long ago, that the roles of women in many societies and in different industries were limited purely based on gender.
Many managers and business leaders unwittingly take responsibility for upward leaping monkeys. These are taken from your staff, often when they approach you with a problem but you don’t have sufficient time to explore and you say something like…. “I can see this is important but I don’t have time to discuss it right now. Let me think about it and get back to you.” These upward leaping monkeys can very soon create sideways leaping and downward leaping monkeys as you procrastinate and put people off.

As a woman, you play many important roles, and limiting your self-belief reduces your personal power hinders your self and professional development. Women worldwide continue to strive to gain independence. As independence for women becomes more widely accepted, now is the time to exercise the authority you have been given, and empower yourself. When we think of surrender, many of us think of "giving up." By surrender, I don't mean give up and lie in bed. This is not, "I can't do this, so I quit!" QUITE the contrary. This is about Positive Expectation while allowing the Universe free rein on how to bring it on!
After my divorce, and with business bad, I was flat-out broke and had no idea what I was going to do. By myself, with neither family nor anyone else to help me, I was devastated. My daughter Gina noticed at a young age that other kids at the playground were playing with their dads. She’d shoot longing looks at them. She’d ask me later why her father never took her anywhere. It didn’t matter that I myself did, that the two of us traveled all over the world. Because nothing fills the void from an absent parent.
Success is indeed a choice! And Failure is too! Success is yours if You decide that is what you want! Below you will find 25 valuable Tips to help you get there: 1. “Whatever choice you make in life, you will reap the benefits”. Paulet Biedermann 2. “We are prone to judge success by the index of our salaries or the size of our automobiles rather than by the quality of our service and relationship to mankind.” Martin L. King. 3. For every minute you are angry you lose sixty seconds of happiness.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
The illness or loss of a parent is one of the true tests of our dignity, our sense of self. On every European trip, my first stop was to see my father. We had always been very close. This time, we spent two days together before I left for Munich to continue with my trip before heading to Milan for a conference I was attending.r
Trust is what allows us to believe in ourselves, in others, and in situations. When put into action, it looks like our being confident and knowing that all will be okay no matter what. Liberator of the constraints of our fears and anxiety, from a trusting place, we feel spacious, light, and more open to not knowing the answer, or okay with not being sure of what the exact outcome is going to be.
We usually think of the New Year as the time to set goals and figure out what we want to achieve. But right now is a good time to check in on those goals and determine if they’re realistic and attainable. Of course there are the obvious ones: you want to be happy, have fun, improve personal relationships, be healthy and have your business thrive. That’s all nice and good, but how do you get from saying it to actually achieving them?r
Susan Sarandon recently said she doesn’t call herself a feminist anymore because she thinks the label is too stigmatized to be taken seriously. She added that our daughters (mine included) can’t identify with this term anymore because it has negative connotations suggesting “a load of strident bitches….and the identity is used more to minimize you,” Sarandon said. She is hardly alone. I’ve been hearing this a few times lately. Most famously Marissa Mayer from Facebook said the same thing, that the term was outdated and old-fashioned. To me, this is a tough nut to swallow.
As we move from the shortest day of the year to days getting longer, we move into the holiday season. Winter, though a time of reflection, moves into high gear with a lot of moving parts, people coming and going — and often times, a lot of stress. It’s an odd sort of conflict because energetically, the earth wants us to stay quiet, but our holidays want us to move around. We vacation, travel to parents and grandparents, dinner parties and events. It can be exhausting, though fun and exhilarating.
What Are You Willing to Do? Let’s face it, running a successful business takes effort and a lot of hard work (although probably no more than running an unsuccessful business or hobby!) Running a home and a career also takes effort. And I know that many of you are willing to work hard to make a success of your business, your career and your life. But here’s what I see and hear on a regular basis

How do women entrepreneurs, in this highly competitive and fast-paced environment move from ârags to richesâ and reach the pinnacle of success? Despite their many challenges, succeeding is possible. It just takes seeing themselves as moving âwaterâ that is always flowing outward and over barriers, not as an inert ârockâ that has already stopped and remains stagnant.rn Water is the current of continuous, directed movement that describes an underpinning theme of wom

Our exchange was tense at times, and we eventually worked things out, but the most interesting thing to come out of it was what we learned from the experience.
These success quotes have inspired and motivated me to keep going at one time or another in my dance (in my life and business journey) as they challenge my thinking, open up new perspectives or remind me of who I really am, what I’m capable of, and what’s important to me. I hope they can do the same for you! Quote 1 You cannot change your destination ove ight, but you can change your direction ove ight. Jim Rohn Quote 2 Abundance is not something we acquire. It’s something we tune into. Wayne Dyer Quote 3 If you’re too busy to enjoy life, you’re too busy. Jeff Davidson
It has been a tough year for almost everyone, but doesn’t if feel as if things are moving forward again? The financial markets are recovering, housing prices are stabilizing and now we would like nothing better than getting back to conducting business as usual.
Sometimes, life smiles on you. It’s the kind of thing that nourishes hope. And then, life turns. And, well – you deal with it. Upon my return from Germany and settling the affairs of my late father, I retained a lawyer—with more money I did not have—to fight the eviction notice I’d received while I was abroad. I found a bankruptcy attorney and prepared myself to let it all go. Even though I had just negotiated a huge deal with Getty Images, the largest such distributor in the world, I realized that I might not make it to see my business turn a profit.
Many years ago, when I first shared my dream of being a songwriter with one of my best friends, she knitted her brows and said, “Huh?” I can’t say I was deflated by all of the warnings that followed. After all, I had always been surrounded by this kind of “practical thinking.” In fact, I probably shared my dream with her just so she’d talk me out of it. During this fumbling stumbling time in my life, I met a man who became an unlikely best friend and mentor. He was a brilli

Where does awareness come from and how do I learn to trust it? I believe that messages from the universe often come to me as dreams. They are divine inspiration, energy channeled through me in some way. Scientific or “woo-woo”-ish, I believe this energy exists and the vibration of that energy connects us all to each other and beyond. To receive these messages I have to be prepared, I have to be open to listening, hearing ,expanding, allowing. I need to train my intuition and train my body to hold this energy.
Sexual Wellness as a Path to Freedom My hope is that this phrase will make you stop and think. Hmmm...how is this possible? How does a healthy sex life give you a feeling of freedom?
We all have our wishes and dreams. That is so great! Sometimes the best of our wishes and dreams seem to simply occur without any effort; sometimes not. For some of us, the best of our wishes and dreams seem to simply happen without any thought; for some of us not. Very often I am asked questions such as, “Why I am not a good manifestor?” or, “How can I be better at manifesting?” The reality is that we are all good manifestors. We are born to manifest and co-create the happ
Overcoming Obstacles How Do You Get Past the Stumbling Blocks?
Have you ever caught yourself doing something that doesn’t really work, but then you still do it over and over again? I know I have. In our personal and business lives we sometimes find ourselves stuck with ineffective habits—even when we know better. Other times we just do things because we have always done them that way and we don’t think about whether what we do works or not.
I originally sourced these success quotes to motivate and inspire the wonderful businesswomen in our Success Club and realised they’re too good to keep to ourselves! I’ve added questions to challenge you to really internalize and take on board the specific learning in each. I suggest you choose those that resonate most with you, answer the questions and take action on what you learn. Enjoy, and do let me know how you get on...

While I can’t be entirely sure about why that is, but all around us, women are being held to superhuman standards. The common assumption in our culture is that women who are successful in their careers are also great at everything else they do. Or they should be. Their homes look like Martha Stewart’s, they’ve had kids but look like Heidi Klum (who’s had 4 children and wears a size 2) and they can cook up a fantastic gourmet meal to rival chef Gordon Ramsey—and do it with a smile.
Today I was invited to attend the Success 2013 Conference with Les Brown, Bill Cosby, Larry King and other motivational speakers/success coaches. All the speakers had something meaningful to contribute, but I connected with Les Brown in a profound way. This was my first time hearing Les Brown do an entire speech. I found him to be captivating, funny and entertaining all while preaching a strong message about the skills necessary to be successful in business and in life. Here are some notes I took on his key points: Know Your Financial Number

So many of us rush around stuffing our feeling and emotions deeper and deeper down inside of us. We refuse to let them out. We may subconsciously remember childhood programs we picked up like… "stop crying or I'll give you something to cry about", or someone calling you a "cry baby", or someone telling you "if your ...
As a professional woman in the workforce, do not underestimate the importance of having a good mentor. This individual can help you uncover the possibilities that exist within you to get to the next level within your career. A mentor “walks the talk” and is someone you aspire to become. They comprise the qualities, skills, and characteristics that you want to emulate.
We’re Tired of Choosing! Today’s woman doesn’t want to choose anymore. Between work and home and personal life and career. She’s had it with the balancing act. Heresy, right? But why is it that men don’t really have to choose and that we women, after a half-century of social progress, still obsess over whether we can be happy? (And why is it we sometimes tell everyone we’re happy when we know we’re really not? But more on that in future blogs….)
Last week I had the privilege of again hosting two students from the Akilah Institute for Women in Rwanda. Akilah is an organization about which I am deeply passionate. It is a college for young women in East Africa that “offers a unique model of market-relevant education empowering graduates for success in careers and leadership roles.” The first class graduated in August 2012 with a 100% job placement rate! Two students are selected annually in a competitive process to rep
What is your spiritual relationship with money? There’s a good chance it has a somewhat sordid tinge to it. Most of us are a bit ashamed to talk about how we really feel about it. We’d rather talk about details of our sexual intimacies, than our real relationship with money. Our deep, intimate relationship with money is really just like any other relationship. And, it is Spiritual.
It has happened to all of us. Some ideas—even really good ones—just don’t work out sometimes. We come up with a great idea and are close to signing a new client or securing a partnership and then, just like that, the opportunity is gone. Have you ever considered that maybe your style of doing business is getting in the way? Or that your communication, the way you express things, is not quite right? I know it’s happened to me on occasion and recently, it happened again when I was set to meet a legendary photographer who had agreed to participate in my company’s monthly business call.
