Job searching in Higher Education is different from the traditional corporate job search. The rules for resumes are different (administrative resumes can easily be 3-4 pages, and senior administrators and faculty will often have CVs anywhere between 10-30 pages, depending on their publications, affiliations and expertise.) Interviews for even the "entry level" jobs in higher education may be multi-person, multi-day, or multi-stage. The interview experience may feature presentations, meals, tours, lodging and meetings with everyone from student volunteers to the Dean, President or Chancellor.
