“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as if everything is.” ~ Albert Einstein What is a Miracle? The dictionary defines a miracle as an extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in human affairs. A miracle is some outstanding or unusual event, thing or accomplishment that the laws of nature cannot explain and is assumed to be an act of God or supe atural in origin.

Emotional intelligence is beginning to be recognized as a powerful contributor to business intelligence—“soft” skill or not. I’m all for respecting the intellect, and I’m all for respecting our intuitive feeling mind, as well. I have a book on order called “Descartes Error,” by Antonio R. Damasio. I’m looking forward to reading it, as Damasio studies emotion and the brain.
I've had a number of experiences in the past few months which have both inspired me and challenged me to think big (and also to look at the ways in which I don't.) All too often we let our egos, our fears, our perceived limitations, or our selfish motivations get in our way from thinking big. In this week's video blog I talk about this phenomenon and how we can get out of our own way, with compassion, and challenge ourselves to think big in an authentic way.
In Part 1 of this article, I presented the rationale and keys for success to create a school community service program. As stated, organizing community service projects allows students to participate in the group process of cooperative learning, conflict resolution, critical thinking and problem solving. Students enhance self esteem through experience. Consequently, self esteem becomes earned esteem. Part 2 is a description of the two components of a successful community serv
The soul loves to forgive! Catherine Ponder said: "When you hold resentment toward another, you are bound to that person or condition by an emotional link that is stronger than steel. Forgiveness is the only way to dissolve that link and get free.” Forgiveness is something that needs to be learned. I taught myself the art of forgiveness so that I could move beyond the pain and hurt that others had caused me.

Intuition is a clear flow of information that is available to you that is aligned with you highest path and purpose. Have you found a philosophy or technique you believe will lead you where you want to go: specific feelings and desired outcomes? It takes a while to realize you can’t get there, unless you travel the path to that destination. So much of what we do is habit we don’t recognize it for what it is. This is especially true with thoughts, words, and actions. What kinds of stories do you repeat to yourself and others? Are they ones you want to experience, to encourage?
Do you ever ask yourself the question, "Why is this happening to me?" Most of us do, especially when things aren't going the way we want them to or we're dealing with something that's difficult or painful. A few years ago I was talking to my friend Brian about this and he said, "If you change the word 'to' to the word 'for' in that question, it can change your life." When Brian said this, it really resonated with me and I never forgot it.
Change can be difficult – and that is because - we want to leap forward to the place where we want to be – land do it quickly – so we can avoid the pain of change.
We are constantly reminded by various sources that it is best to give completely of ourselves to others without expectation of reward or special favor as a path of spiritual harmony or, as some may call it, salvation or redemption. Selfless giving, we are told, is something that will keep us grounded while, at the same time, in the good graces of the Infinite, God or, as Self-Revealization Acceptance defines it, the Creative Power of the Universe.
When I was doing Life Coaching, every single client that I had, wanted one thing (in some form or another) – motivation! I believe that motivation is something that we all want. Yet, some people cannot seem to actually acquire it. Motivation can be a very commonly spoken about subject. And, some people do not understand how motivation actually works. The interesting thing is that some people seem to mistake motivation for inspiration. They think that both words have the same meaning, and they often use one word for the other. Let’s look at motivation and inspiration.
Being angry and frustrated at work is its own special brand of misery. Why? Because you can’t lash out at the co-worker or manager or VP that is driving you nuts without risking the loss of your job. Whereas at home, you can probably get plenty angry at your teenager, your spouse, or your mother, without them banishing you from their presence forever. More often than not, we just stomach whatever frustrations we endure at work. But that’s not good for your emotional or physi
What does it really mean to be out of your mind? No, it doesn't mean you are nuts, bonkers, or crazy as a peach orchard boar.
November 13, 2016 It's time for us to step up straight white men! This campaign and this election have exposed many issues in our country and our world...issues that have been there for a very long time, and although we've made progress on them through the years, it's time for real change and we're a big part of that.
The biggest impediment to getting what you really want is actually knowing what you really want. Isn’t that funny? Most people don't really know what they want, because they are so focused on what isn't working in their lives, and, they don't give themselves the time or permission to dream about it getting better. This article is designed to help you shift that.
How do you feel about disappointing others? How about being disappointed yourself? I’ve recently noticed how much of my conscious and unconscious attention is focused on not disappointing others, while at the same time protecting myself against being disappointed.
Being an unstoppable human being means that you hold no bars nor do you take any punches. You are no nonsense individual. You know what you want and you are a go getter. You know how to be patient and persevering. There is nothing too good for you. You believe that you can get anything that you ...
If you ever feel your focus is faulty, check your commitment. But, also look at what else is going on in your life.
This is an excerpt from my new book Nothing Changes Until You Do, posted with permission. Published by Hay House and available online or in bookstores.
So many people are being challenged right now. Changes are happening because they are "supposed" to happen. Change is all there is. People have lost or changed jobs; and because of this the're being challenged with relationships and health issues. You may have been one of those personally ...
How do you feel about self love? More importantly, how well do you love yourself? For most of us, loving ourselves is something we may know is important, but often have difficulty actually feeling, expressing, and embodying. For me, I’ve spent much of my life – as a student, an athlete, in business, in relationships, and in general – demanding perfection of myself, and of course, falling short and then feeling inadequate on a regular basis.
Many people come to me complaining that they're tired, exhausted, unable to find balance in their life. Some have incredibly busy schedules and others live a life of casual leisure. Yet, both are exhausted. I also know people who have either busy or leisurely schedules who are not tired, they are full of energy and rarely, if ever, tire. What's the difference?
Why use ANY travel jou al? Why not just remember all the fun times on your vacation? Because without one, you will arrive home, get back in your routines, and the memories of that fun, fun vacation will fade away - guaranteed! Within embarrassingly too few days or weeks after arriving home, your wonderful memories will have melted into one big fat faded adventure with just a title like New York or Paris or Oh Yes, Where Was I?
OK. You’ve taken the time to examine your life as it is today and discovered the small hidden joy within; the want not should of what you really want to do! Exciting isn’t it? But after following all the steps and making a plan you still find yourself procrastinating and several of the important steps you planned somehow keep slipping to the bottom of the list. Why oh why can’t you make yourself do them?
Success rewards are much greater than the risks when leadership begins with a crystal clear objective and only then creates the plan for execution with a fully engaged focused team. Once the goal is set, a good roadmap is essential before you start building the team or training the existing team. The more clarity leadership has about the end goal, the easier it will be to create the plan, engage and focus the workforce so they will successfully execute the plan. Therefore, t
Coaches often ask me to relate what I think is the most powerful coaching question to ask a client. Now the question itself seems like an anomaly to me since there couldn’t be just one question which would be powerful for all clients - or could there? And what if there were, what would it be? (You can almost hear my inner coach jumping up and down with my own limiting belief here!)
How many times have you waited for something to change so that you could finally start feeling beautiful? If you are like most women, the answer is “all the time.” Here is the problem: Most of us tend to live with the delusional belief that we somehow need to change in order to be beautiful.
Feeling overwhelmed seems to be a constant in most peopleâs lives today. Too much work, endless to-do lists, too many demands, too many bills to pay, too much! This may lead to feeling helpless and unable to do anything. When faced with the challenge of too much, we often think that we have to take big steps according to the magnitude of how overwhelmed we feel. It may seem counter-intuitive; however, small simple steps will make the biggest difference over time. This conce
Everyone has a sense of self, a sense of “I”, the one who perceives, feels, thinks, and experiences life. Most of us do not distinguish between the things we are doing, the roles we are playing, and who we really are. We define ourselves in various ways and get confused because we identify ourselves with our labels. For example, “I am John Doe” is just a label. “I am a doctor” or “I am a mother” are just the role you are playing at the moment. It is pretty easy to see that these roles are not the real you.
Every one of us shares one selfish, common goal: "to be successful". But at the long run majority don't get to achieve the level of success they desire. This phenomenon has led to a lot of questions: Does success really have secrets? Why do majority who seek after success fail to achieve it at the level they desire? As a matter of fact I met a colleague. His statements created further necessity to look into questions like these. Are most people destined to be poor and other p
This is all about my new e-book, the first of many more. Why did I write it? Simple. I knew that I wanted to give people something that would help them understand what is special about them as a person. The trick was putting down concrete exercises to follow what I already knew. By tracing my own steps, I created a guide for you to find this ‘center’ for yourself. What inspired the book?
I wish I had more time. How often have you said or thought that? You’re not alone. One of the biggest challenges people face as they juggle parenting, work and their intimate relationships is fitting everything in. It’s also one of the most difficult topics to deal with because most people ...
Can You Trust A Live Psychic Reading? By Dyan Garris In this day and age online scams abound, especially in the arena of live psychic readings. It used to be that psychic ability was frowned upon and psychics were not as main stream as they are today. Now, it seems as if everyone you know is a psychic doesn't it? Live psychic reading sites are everywhere now on the Internet. One is left to wonder if there could possibly be that many psychics in the world. One is left wondering if they can actually trust a live psychic reading.
How Do You Handle Change or Life Changing Events? How well do you handle change or life changing events in this fast paced world of ours? It seems to me there is always something new to face. Granted some changes are good, some bad, some gradual and some exceedingly speedy (technology for instance) but the fact is nothing stays the same. Some of the most difficult of these are life changes; events that happen unexpectedly smack you upside the head and set you in a new direction.
A few months ago one of my mentors said to me, "Mike, it sounds like you're 'should-ing' all over yourself." I laughed when she said this, as I've heard this saying many times before (and have even given this same feedback to others). However, something about her saying this to me at that particular moment caught my attention and struck me deeply.
I have been working as a psychic reader and therapist for a long time. In my practice, I have noticed most people who reach out to me are interested in resolving issues related to their love lives. People either ask me if they will find true love, or if the love from their existing partner is genuine. What’s the secret of attracting love?r
A common fear that stops people from being proactive is the fear of failure. How can we know that it is there? If there is something we would like to do and feel hesitant doing it, the question can rise as to why we are hesitant. One possible reason could be that we are afraid of failing and so we hesitate to take the next step, so we postpone indefinitely doing something about it.
How often do you find yourself in an anxiety tizzy because of something you’re worrying about? In fact, you’re so upset or anxiety-ridden or regretful that you’ve forgotten to pay attention to the POTENTIAL for growth, opportunity, and joy that is unfolding at that very moment. I am a strong ...
As we move through these summer months, bodies are everywhere! If you tune into daytime TV talk shows, you'll find bikini fashion shows. On the bestseller list, diet books are on the rise. Gyms are full as people keep their beach bodies in shape. This time of year can stir up a lot of shadows -- the emotions, beliefs, habits, and patterns stored deep inside the psyche that dictate our relationships with our bodies. We see it in every program and workshop we do. Person after p
I have a Psychology class when I was in college. My teacher that time was my favorite because the class is new to me and I learned a lot of things about human behavior. One lesson that I can't forget is about these four essential life ingredients that are very crucial to our development. Especially during our childhood days. These towers have to be built on our foundation to strengthen us in living a life that we wanted to have. As I analyze those four towers, I can't help bu

One of the defining themes of my adult life has been this something that I refer to as Love. When the universe forced me into personal crisis a few years ago, it slowly became apparent that a key issue was love. Ever since then, my life has become, in one form or another, a meditation on love: What is love? How do I love myself? Why does my heart feel broken? Will I ever feel loved? How do I love and be loved? Does love exist? Is it just an idea, or is it something real?

1. Add a quiet moment of silence twice a day. It is important for one to become still, quiet the mind and experience an inner calm of silence. It is in this place where creativity resides and limitless potentiality is born. Accept the divinity that is within you and spend time quietly receiving all the answers that you will ever need. “Be still and know that I am God,” – Psalm 46:10.
I often hear people are talking about the universe, how the universe is assisting them or what universe is providing for them. I even saw many web pages with domain names such as “Note from the Universe”, or “You and the Universe” and so on… I am not against people’s relationship to the “Universe”. I even agree with the wisdom and influence of the, so called, Universe, but from the point of view of personal responsibility, just hanging out there waiting for “Universe” to do something for me is just not enough, nor is it realistic.
Freedom is what America is supposed to be all about. Whether you were born here, immigrated here or your ancestors were brought here in chains ultimately you still have the opportunity to pursue the "American Dream". In order to do that you must be free from encumbrance however America is no longer setup for the common man to be free. In fact America has become a place based on "Corporate Slavery" where upon turning the age of 18 you are forced to become a slave to a corporation or alte atively to the federal government.
