Initiation means ascension. The first initiation is the first step onto the path of ascension. At the first initiation the main goal is physical self-mastery to a beginning degree. This shows as the Soul starting out to finetune and purify the diet, releasing toxins as much as possible, transcending addictions, and cleansing both the inner and outer physical vehicle.

Losing yourself in a relationship is a common occurrence. It happens when we forgo our own happiness for that of another, when we give up on our self so that the relationship stays as how we think it should. We give our identity over to the combined effort of keeping the relationship in stasis. When we lose ourselves to a relationship, we are inducing a sadness and a loss from within ourselves. The relationship can never make up for what we have given up to keep it going.

Gossip is a mass practice in our society today, however, contrary to popular opinion it is not a harmless practice. Words have great power. Gossip is a misuse of that power. And at the end of the day, the power of misuse hits but ourselves. Whatever we put out in our lives comes back to us. Gossip comes back to us like a boomerang.

It’s not easy being God in that He is all we want to be in and of ourselves, yet what we feel we can’t be without His assistance. Consequently, He is cure and crutch, Love and Judgment, and the all-powerful Light whose inaction makes possible the Dark. God’s ambivalence is deeply troubling – especially with His monotheistic guise – and ideas like free will, fate, predestination, Satan serving as God’s tempter or a cosmic battle betwee Good and Evil don’t really resolve His inaction.

When you doubt yourself, you are basically saying that you cannot do what you want to do. For every moment we doubt ourselves, we are limiting our abilities and we are stopping ourselves. We limit ourselves, and therefore we lack self-confidence. It is a two-way street. If we doubt ourselves, we have no self-confidence. One creates the other. When we stop ourselves from what we want to do because we have no faith in ourselves, our lack of confidence grows. Usually doubt begins to form not because of what we think of ourselves, but because of how we perceive others to see us.

Religion lays claim to truth in one way or another. A Course in Miracles is not a religion and it doesn’t attempt to dole out predictions of truth like a deck of tarot cards. It has as its goal the changing of one’s mind to enable us to recognize truth when it comes knocking. ...

Summary: A universal question of people of different ethnic backgrounds, languages and beliefs is, “How Does One Find God?” In my case God found me with Divine Miracles and Divine Providence, but in most instances it requires faith. If one’s heritage and upbringing is such that faith in God is strong, then believing and trusting in God is a given. However if one holds on to one’s rational logical mind or sours on God because of evil world events like the Holocaust, faith may never materialize or be lost. What is Faith?r

Having self-love and personal power are the two major keys to psychological wellbeing and health. In truth, it is not even possible to be unconditionally loving if we do not first claim and own our personal power. Because if we don’t own our personal power, then we cannot keep the lower self and fear-based mind at bay, and it is not possible to be unconditionally loving without transcending the fear-based mind.

There is a very clear structure and organization to the Spiritual Hierarchy. At the head of our universe is a vast cosmic being, called Melchizedek. He holds the position of Universal Logos. At the head of our galaxy is another vast being, although not as vast as Melchizedek, called Melchior. Melchior holds the position of Galactic Logos. A little further “down” still, at the head of our solar system is another great being, called Helios and Vesta. They hold the position of Solar Logos. And finally, at the head of our planetary system is Lord Buddha, our Planetary Logos.

Feeling the need to be in control is a strong habit. It helps us to feel safe, at peace, and content, but only on the surface, for under the desired effect of trying to control lies the real discontentment that is causing the action. The continued desire for control will override any satisfaction obtained by maintaining it; it is a losing battle, for in gaining control over anything there is also the desire to maintain it.

What we think about comes about. The Integrated Ascended Master makes a conscious effort to replace all negative thinking with positive thinking. As we go through life, sometimes we lose the idea of hope; we give up on things changing, on ourselves, on our world becoming better. We lose the hope that resides within, so that we can come to terms with what has already happened thus far in our lives. We see what has come before and assume it is all it will ever be. We are drawing a line in the sand, so to say, on our future. Why lose hope when it seems the only thing that could give us a chance to dream is to see hope not only in ourselves, but in the future.

Everyone has been talking about the coming date of 12/22/2012. Some people think it is the End of the World; some expect major catastrophes to happen immediately when the calendar date arrives. Spiritually, the date is of great importance. On this particular day the Winter Solstice having just occured, the sun will rise in the center of the Milky Way galaxyfor the first time in 26,000 years. The Maya have chosen to end their long count calendar on this date but this does not suggest that they expected the world to end on that date.

The astral body is also called the emotional body. It comprises the emotional world of each individual. It is connected with the astral plane but also interpenetrates both the physical and etheric body. The Earth Herself has an astral body too. Paramahansa Yogananda, the Hindu guru said, “Life is a battlefield.” This is very true! We constantly have to battle the forces of our own lower self and negative ego, and the negative ego of other people and the world.

I have always believed that everyone has gifts. Sometimes it takes all of a person's life to figure out what those gifts are and the person doesn't get to do the work he or she was "supposed" to do. Often, we can get locked into seeing the world as we think it is, instead of seeing what is real. This can come from how we feel about ourselves. We project how we feel outwards. We may hold onto past memories and replay them in the present, recreating our old experiences in the world around us. We may find ourselves judging others by how we think they should be, instead of allowing ourselves to see them as they are.

The second initiation deals with learning to control and master the emotional or astral body. This involves mastering uncontrolled lower-self desires and replacing them with the higher desires of the Soul. Selfish desires are transcended, to a basic degree, by a desire to serve. Selfish love is replaced, to a beginning degree, by unconditional love. Moods and emotional roller coasters are beginning to be replaced by even-mindedness. So the second initiation marks the beginning of emotional and psychological cleansing.

According to Hindu tradition, the last thought on our mind before we die determines our next birth. Now, the Integrated Ascended Master realizes that the whole purpose of life is to break free from the wheel of rebirth altogether by taking our ascension.
