Without stating the obvious, communication is the fundamental element of any interactions between human beings. It is the backbone of a successful relationship either it is a marriage, a friendship or a partnership. No one can deny the fact that it is an essential ingredient in establishing a lucrative business. We may wish to explore the reasons behind our needs to communicate. One of the main incentives or motivation to communicate is the fact that we refer to communication to satisfy our daily needs.

Even though a breakup can be very depressing, no need to stress over that the relationship is final. Putting you in an unpleasant state, leading to confusion and stress, in addition to the feeling of being alone, you'll probably have the desire to seek the solution to mend the extreme damage, not to mention you have the intention to rejoin back with your ex. If you are asking yourself "How can I get my ex back?", and then there are a few things you should consider. If you und
Sadly, along all the political back and forth that is polarizing men and women and in many of the relationships I see, I fear humanity is getting thrown in the rubbish. Relationships haven’t been about connecting and community. It’s been about men vs. women. It’s been about truth vs. lies. It’s been about integrity. We forget that yes, we have these human bodies, and we identify ourselves as different genders. However, regardless of the body and gender identity, we are huma
Number Seven May Be A Little Shocking Dr. Romance’s three tips to maintaining sanity during divorce. According to results from a recent GfK Roper poll, more than 80 percent of divorced Americans still believe in marriage, but we all know more than half of marriages don’t make it, for various reasons.
What is happiness? If you are thinking of changing your life for the better, one way is start identifying your goals. What version of happiness or well-being are you looking for? This might be any combination of the following: -Sense of Freedom -Self Esteem -Self Confidence -Purpose in Life -Satisfying Relationships
Can you relate to the following scenario? You once approached your work in a dedicated, passionate and enthusiastic way. You were eager and excited about your responsibilities. While you were aware that there are built in frustrations in your work with coworkers, clientele, or the system itself, you felt that you were making an important contribution to your organization and/or field. But gradually, you’ve begun to feel a sense of stagnation. This has slowly led to feelings of apathy, to the point that it’s become difficult even to feel motivated anymore.
Every single day we wake up and determine what we need (or want) to do on that given day. Perhaps we already have plans or responsibilities. Maybe we are one of the lucky ones who have the opportunity to decide day by day…in the moment. Either way, while making your decision for the day, do you base that decision on what you have to do, what will make your day go well, or only on how you feel in the moment? Being able to decide how your day begins, determines how it ends…and the rewards are endless.
Every now and again you come across a situation in your life that blows your hair back, your skirt up or...just blows. For example: you find out the person you’re seriously considering spending the rest of your life with isn’t interested in a long term relationship with you. Or you discover one evening, quite by accident, that your husband prefers blondes...who are hung like a horse. Or you learn that your new girlfriend is really a man, or that your movie star/Governor husband has impregnated your housekeeper and has been paying her hush money (out of your pocket) for the last decade.
Everyone starts out in life wanting to be safe, loved, and accepted. It’s in our DNA. Some of us figure out that the best way to do this is to put aside what we want or feel and allow someone else’s needs and feelings take precedence. This works for a while. It feels natural, and there’s less outer conflict, but our inner conflict grows. If we’d like to say no, we feel guilty, and we may feel resentful when we yes. We’re damned if we do and damned if we don’t.
Dr. Romance writes: I have blogged before about emotional hygiene, and doing the necessary maintenance on feelings as well as your physical body and household. Health reminders tell us to wash our hands frequently to prevent transmittal of diseases. Did you know you can “wash” your mood, too, and give yourself an attitude adjustment whenever you want to?
Discover what you may need to address before deciding whether you can be friends with an ex partner. Elise writes: "My partner and I separated a year ago. My partner now wants to finalize the relationship but work on being 'friends'. I am having difficulty connecting as just 'friends', it seems to trigger all my old wounds of rejection and abandonment. Do you have any advice?"
Are you being selfish if you do what brings you joy, even if others don't like it? Do you feel trapped, believing you can't really take loving care of yourself without being unloving to others? One of the questions I often hear from my clients is, "If I take care of myself and do what brings me joy, aren't I being selfish?"
Learning how to talk dirty can be a fulfilling and rewarding journey that the two of you (you and your man) can share together. However, it'll only work if the two of you have a solid foundation by learning how to talk dirty the right way. Many times, when a woman tries to learn how to talk dirty without guidelines or a reference book feel as though they should turn into Jenna Jameson overnight. Fortunately, I have listed 3 simple steps that will get you on your way to learni
STICK ON TO YOUR NEW YEAR RESOLUTION & BECOME ABLE TO DEVELOP A SUCCESSFUL RELATIONSHIP New-Year is a time for Resolutions. At times you promise yourself to do such and such in the coming year, but put this intention aside as soon as January 1 is over. The reason is that it is so easy and simple to just continue with things as they are, even if they don’t take you to where you want to be. However, you can promise yourself that, when it comes to a relationship, you will stick to your resolution. Consequently: If you truly wish to develop a successful relationship next year, and:
I’ll have one fabulous relationship; hold the full spectrum of unpleasant human emotion please!” Used to be, it could bring me to the edge when anyone would tell me to “calm down” or “just relax.” “OH, you think THIS is upset? Well, you haven’t seen upset!” I would declare, and there I’d go as predicted, directly into orbit. These experiences collected and cemented my inherited belief that I was too much, too big, high-maintenance, and ultimately perhaps a bit crazed. All this was about a million years ago, but I can remember it like it was yesterday.
Everyone who is experiencing a breakup with their ex should contemplate if a reunion is what is best for them. Occasionally, folks want to get back together with an ex before realizing that it's potentially not the best action to take. If you are currently considering this option, you should be a hundred p.c sure that it is truly, what you need as well as your ex.
Funny as it seems, most of us want the OPTIMUM relationship but don’t know how to get or maintain it. I am not talking about a superficial movie-style standard. I am talking about deeply connected, solidly unified, and romantic. Perhaps we can’t be in that space all of the time. However, there are things that we can do to be in that space more of the time. And of course, the more you focus on that space, the easier it becomes to access it. This goes beyond date night (which you will remember, I highly recommend). Date night is great but there are six more days in the week.
Jesus was always drawing attention to nature...because he saw a power for restoration and healing in it that humans have lost touch with. “Consider how the lilies grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.” There is ...
Will your partner make a good Dad? You have amazing sex. You're physically compatible. You have great dates. Each time you're, well, intimate, you're reminded of how great you are together. But is that all there is? What if you're not alone? What if – even if you took precautions – you end up pregnant? Great sex doesn't mean the man in your life will be a great father. Sure, nine months later there COULD perhaps be a ring, maybe some wedding bells ~ or just some more (infrequent) dates, who knows.
My Husband Acts Like He Hates Me: Signs That Your Husband Doesn't Love You Anymore When a marriage is having problems, there will be plenty of signs your husband doesn't love you anymore. Oprah Winfrey opened her school in South Africa in January, and was both praised and criticized. The criticism was that she was spending too much money on too few girls, because her school was lavish, free, and could only accommodate less than 200 girls. Aside from the fact that Oprah is entitled to spend her money any way she sees fit, I think it is a worthwhile enterprise, and that the people who criticize her are short-sighted.
When couples get married they never think they will be among those who get divorced. Yet a hefty percentage of marriages do end in divorce, so some of these people who can’t imagine divorce on their wedding day will certainly face that prospect eventually. Psychologists have identified behaviors that make failed marriages predictable. Here are some—criticism, nagging, and trying to change your partner.

Jealousy has often been called the âgreen-eyed monster,â and with good reason. The âmonsterâ is fueled by envy and can over time devour the trust and harmony in a relationship.nnAccording to B.C. Forbes, âJealousyâ¦is a mental cancer.â It spreads quickly and can be fatal to a relationship. Once it gets a foothold, the jealous partner becomes even more jealous, often over insignificant things.n nWhen weâre jealous, weâre in a state of dissatisfaction with ours
“It’s the simplest of math: Big fish tanks grow big fish; little fish tanks grow little fish....” "You can't catch fish unless you put your line in the water. You can't reach your goals if you don't try." ~ Kathy Seligman As I was planning for one of my workshops, the “fish tank” metaphor came up in my thinking. I wanted to emphasize how people could keep their “bigness” and create a “sabotage-proof” life. I thought back to when I had a very beautiful 55 gallon aquarium. There was over 100 pounds of real gravel in the bottom and it was lined with live plants.
Flowers, candy, massages and gourmet dinners are all wonderful things to do for your loved one – or for yourself if you are single – on Valentine’s Day. However, the appreciation of those things or the enjoyment of them will only last for a little while. Then the effect and good feelings will fade. What will remain u
The difficulty lies not so much in developing new ideas as in escaping from the old ones.? - John Maynard Kynes I am empowered by how many of us today constantly try to change our habitual patterns. For better new and more profound ways. However sometimes patterns of thoughts from our past hold us back. Sometimes gently and sometimes furiously.

How a Financial Tune-up Month Can Change Your Life by Mindy Sitton-Halleckr
The term “helicopter parent” is a relatively new one in our culture, but the practice is quite prevalent. When a child leaves home (for college, for instance, or even ove ight camp) the helicopter parent does exactly what the term implies --hovers. Helicopter parents usually have the best intentions-- to protect their children from life’s hardships and prepare them for adulthood--- but as with many other aspects of parenting, the results don’t always match the intentions.
Greed is wreaking havoc on our planet. "We are in danger of destroying ourselves by our greed and stupidity." ~Stephen Hawking "In a country well-gove ed, poverty is something to be ashamed of. In a country badly governed, wealth is something to be ashamed of." ~ Confucius What Causes Greed? The Free Dictionary defines greed as "an inordinate desire to acquire or possess more than one needs, especially with respect to material wealth."
Ah, love! What rapturous, torturous words have been set down to try and capture the essence of love. Those clever Greeks, who invented the Olympics, also invented many names for love—Cupid, Eros, Venus, Aphrodite—and each name represented an aspect of love. The ancient Greeks had several words for several categories of love—they did not attempt to squeeze all of it into four little letters! Eros was erotic, or sexual love; Philos was brotherly love; Agape was altruistic, spiritual love. The Latin poet Ovid spoke of amor ludens, or playful love—love as a game.
Everybody is aware how fragile relationships can be, requiring every ounce of love and nurturing that you can shower on it. It's very easy to get it wrong and ignore the needs of our partner and equally difficult to show consideration and thought and do things the right way. There are innumerable ways in which we hurt them - tiny little actions that can cause irreparable damage to a relationship. Before long, you are heading towards a break up and one fine day, you find yours
Is there a difference between loving yourself and loving others, or are they one and the same? ________________________________________ Have you ever been confused about the boundary between loving yourself and also being loving to others?
Have you ever wished that your relationship with your partner will be at a similar level of friendship like the one you have with your closest friend? That with him you would be able to talk about everything in the open, like really two soul-mates? Hellas, this is often not the case. And when you attempt to bring your relationship with him to such a level (after all, what is intimacy if not just that?) you are often being rejected for your attempts and “ideas”.
Dr. Romance on spreading kindness Spreading kindness is the best way I know to be happy. If you want to spread kindness around, here are some ideas: *Kindness begins on the inside – learn to be as kind in talking to yourself as you are to others – then, keep improving. Self-talk sets the bar for the happiness in your life.
Those with borderline personality disorder (BPD) have an underlying fear of abandonment and often misinterpret interpersonal situations where they end up feeling worthless or mistreated. They can have a distorted sense of self and view of others. The see themselves and others as split, as either “all good” or “all bad”. They will either project that others are “all good” (loving, supportive, caring); and then when they are triggered they will project that others are “all bad” (uncaring, abandoning or mean). These internal positions prevent them seeing themselves or others clearly.
So you and your ex have been broken up for some time. Maybe the separation was so bad that both of you swore never to see each other again. Maybe you're in the process of using the No Contact Rule. Either way, you came up with the conclusion that your ex is still important and that you want them back. Here, I'll show you how to get an ex back after months without seeing or talking to each other. There are basically three stages to this plan and although this plan isn't perfec
