You slam your fist in the table and if you knew that it wouldn’t have severe repercussions you would definitely be beating up your computer by now! That severe anger that technology and other forms of glitches and set-backs can cause within us can be incredibly debilitating if not down-right dangerous (road-rage anyone?). When Mercury is in retrograde technology, communication and travel seem to go a little more haywire than normal (and to the non-astrologists here, it simply means that the planet Mercury, ruler of communication, is moving backwards).

The system “Simpleology – The Simple Science of Getting What You Want” was created by Mark Joyner following the basic tenet that simple, small things can have a profound difference in your productivity and in your ability to create happiness and success in your life. The first ...
The Greatest Story Never told Part I Wild Bill Cody Copyright By Art Drentlau I want to tell you the story of Wild Bill Cody, I first heard this story from my friend DR. Michael Ryce he said he read it in the book The Gentle Art of Blessing by Pierre Pradervand. I contacted Pierre and he told me he read the story in the book Return From Tomorrow by Ritchie/Sherrill. I got both books to start my research on this magnificent man because his story was very intriguing to me.
Have you ever had the experience of being in the midst of one of life’s challenges, and suddenly realizing that whatever spiritual wisdom you might have gained over your years of conscious spiritual growth has apparently deserted you? Isn't it ironic that when you need your highest wisdom the ...
Everyone has within them some amount of psychic ability. It is innate in people, just like the ability to paint or play a musical instrument. With training we can learn to play the piano, and in the same way we can learn to harness that psychic ability that is already within us. The key to ...
Your self-images may not be something you think about them very much. In fact, most of you probably don't even realize that you have many self-images, each one taking a turn depending on the circumstances you are in. The way you see yourself, or the way you think about yourself affects the actions and choices you make everyday. We are talking about your belief system. It is the answer to the question; who are you? Unfortunately, the misunderstanding of this concept produces consequences that are life-changing; often not for the better. A Rose By Any Other Name
Do you ever wake up from a dream that felt so vivid, so real, and so powerful? Do you ever feel like it was trying to tell you something - a message from your soul? Have you ever experienced a dream that turned out to be a premonition? There are all kinds of dreams - some are merely a processing of the previous day's events - strewn together in a fun way that only our subconscious can do. And some are more meaningful - these are the ones that you can't seem to shake from your mind when you wake up. They are so vivid and keep coming back to you throughout the day.
I write a lot about the soul – getting to know your soul, reconnecting with your soul, loving your soul, etc. Because of this, you might think that I’ve had a wonderful relationship with my soul for my entire life. Would you be surprised if I told you that it’s only in the last couple of years that I’ve been in touch with my soul?
Excerpt from the book 'The Visible & Invisible Worlds of God': The physical worlds, planetary systems and universes are connected through energetic and electro-magnetic lines and grids which overlap in such a way as to unite homogeneously. They all converge at one Source, the original Universal Creator-Source from which all Life springs. No world can be sustained outside these energetic fields or without the rhythmic breath and pulse of this Creator-Source.
It’s interesting to see how much confusion there is in life as we stare at what is right in front of us through the veil of the beliefs, concepts and stories we live by. We do not see the world as it is, we see it as we believe ourselves to be. The core beliefs which our life experiences reflect have been with us so long we don’t even realize they aren’t the truth, so even when we are looking right at it, the truth remains hidden from our awareness.
The very word I have come to embrace the sound is the same so many various individuals miss out or take for granted, some of which deny this word when it comes along each day! It is the notion of endless possibilities to come and even conquer one‘s fears or doubts they may have once had. The term assists with the rise and perhaps the fall of many changes causing surmountable eruptions within a person of any age, gender, race, background or any common or unique denominator.
Do you believe in signs and synchronicity – messages from the universe? Certain events have occurred over the past year that have made me a believer.
– The goal of life – In our materialistic culture, happiness is often regarded as something we have to work hard for in order to attain it. Generally speaking, people seek happiness outside of themselves, in a job, in a good salary, in material goods, in a personal relationship, in a relationship with God, which is imagined as separate from oneself. Outer success and the fulfillment of desires naturally make us happy, but the opposite is also true: when we are happy inside, outer achievements come to us much easier.
"The mind is simply the action of identifying with thoughts. Thoughts arise and you take on the thoughts as your identity. You place all importance on them. The thought arises,rn'this is not the way it is supposed to be' and you claim ownership of that thought. You take that thought to be about you and that defines your world. That becomes your reality and you suffer the stress of it. Life itself is very pleasurable. There is unfathomable joy in life. The simple tasks of walking, sleeping, eating, working, playing all flood you with endorphinsr
As I've mentioned several times before, within 5 to 10 years 70% of students no longer work in a field related to their major, a stat no one's talking about. (One of the many reasons I get so miffed at the myth that education is the end-all and cure-all to the American Dream and, ugh! "job security" a phrase that should be stricken from everyone's vocabulary today.) But even if people hear the stat mentioned above, some will say "Well, at least they have a degree. Something to fall back on." Is it really? Let's explore this issue . . .
Consider what the cave man might have thought of the airplane or car. He would believe it mystical, be frightened or consider it a new type of animal. We, however, are unimpressed since we know on some basic level how these methods of transportation are made. The automobile, for instance uses an ...
Have you ever felt called to a higher level of existence, but you resisted because you were afraid to take that leap of faith? Have you ever had a dream that conveyed a message – a powerful message that you knew needed to be listened to and acted upon? Did you answer the call and act on it? Or did you push it aside and continue living your comfortable life? When I am being called to change (even if it is a change that I know will help me live my best life), I have a tendency to run in the opposite direction. Change can be scary and the known is comfortable – even if it isn’t ideal.r

“To forgive is to give forth. It releases you from the past.” - “Positively Positive” on Twitter Forgiveness comes in many forms but the most important aspect to remember is that it's for the one who was offended or victimized. The offender or perpetrator may never even hear or know that he or she has been forgiven, therefore, it has to be for the one who was harmed. There was a news story a couple weeks ago about a lady whose son had been murdered. She was devastated, as would be expected, not only because it was her son, but because it was her only child.
There are four spiritual principles I believe we are to understand, live and master during our life time(s) on Earth. They are unconditional love, gratitude, forgiveness and non-judgment. To me the most important, the most impactful, and perhaps the most difficult, is non-judgment. Now it could be argued that unconditional love, our innate state of being, is the most important. Unfortunately this isn’t the state in which most of us live. It is through the mastery of the other three, which arise from non-judgment, that we get back to unconditional love.
"People want to be in their own fashion tribes, so they want to wear the same clothes to be connected to everyone else in that tribe. But they want to be different from other tribes." Christian Lacroix
Sometimes in life we have to make tough choices if we want to grow and live the life we know we are meant to live. We may have to give up a part of ourselves that we have grown comfortable with, even if we know that it isn't the self we want to bring on our journey.
Can we define God or can we describe him accurately? To answer this question, I would like to start with a counter question: can we define and adequately describe a pebble? The answer to this question is ‘Yes’ for those of us who have seen a pebble and held it in their hand. The answer is ‘No’ for those who have never seen a pebble and have never held one in their hand. For these persons (if they would exist) not even a hundred definitions and adequate descriptions would suffice to make clear to them what a pebble is. For those persons, the pebble remains a mystery.
“Make it a rule of life never to regret and never to look back... Regret is only good for wallowing in." Katherine Mansfield “I never regret anything. Because every little detail of your life is what made you who you are in the end.” Drew Barrymore
The Joy of Cancer – Olga Munari Assaly & Kim Mecca rniUniverse 2012 One summer Wednesday night, a little over a year ago, a woman walked into our Pointe-Claire Toastmasters Club as a guest and instantly changed the aura of the room. Her effervescence, her poise, and her clear blue beautiful eyes radiated strength and confidence and determination that I would come to think of as the ‘Olga Factor’. That was my first meeting with Olga Munari Assaly.
What is more important: technical skill or a solid mental game? Both! If you don't have the technical ability to play a particular sport, it does not matter how strong your mental game is. Golf is an especially difficult game because there are so many aspects to it: driving, long irons, short irons, chipping, putting ...
We choose to listen to ego over Spirit consciously and in not so conscious ways. The not-so-conscious ways are when you find yourself living from what you think and feel. You feel bad, and so it is; you believe it. You think something negative about yourself, so it is; you believe it. You feel whatever it is that doesn’t produce joy, and you live it as if you have no choice. But the truth is, you DO! This is where Spiritual practices become vital. They lead us away from ego
This idea of “Why Don’t We Ask Questions” came as a result of conversations with several colleagues who write and speak on topics similar to mine. Most of us who write blogs are always looking for topics that are relevant to the audience for whom we write but also thought provoking and life changing. You have probably noticed that many blog writers ask somewhere in their blog for topics or questions they can be research, answer and present as a new post. However, what we find is that people are not willing, or at least most are not willing, to ask a question or suggest a topic.

We all want to be loved. We all want to be liked. We all want to fit in. We all want to be understood. We just do. We are social beings. We thrive in groups. We live in tribes. We have leaders and followers and pecking orders and those at the top and those at the bottom. And because of this innate dynamic, we tend to look to each other for support. We frequently look to each other for approval. This is completely normal and completely okay. We’re not supposed to go it alone on our journey. It’s good to have your tribe surrounding you and supporting you.
The definition of quintessence is: The pure, highly concentrated essence of a thing. In ancient and medieval philosophy, the fifth and highest essence after the four elements of earth, air, fire, and water, thought to be the substance of the heavenly bodies and latent in all things.
Rudraksha globules have been synonymous with the otherworldly history of India . The dots are known to expansion ones profound force and help one work their direction to Moksha. Considering the unlimited scholarly history of Indian Vedic custom the credible qualified information about Rudraksha is extremely scanty. This has accelerated numerous MYTHS, Remains skeptical about regarding the utilization of Rudraksha. rnThere is a general credence that Rudraksha must not be worn

The definition of compassion: “Deep awareness of the suffering of another coupled with the wish to relieve it.” "It is the development of compassion toward each other that can change the heart, transform the mind, heal the body and enlighten the soul." Dr. W. David Hoisington, 2007
There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to do your best. But what happens when wanting to do your best keeps you from living your best life?r
"You must learn to let go. Release the stress. You were never in control anyway." Steve Maraboli "Sometimes surrender means giving up trying to understand and becoming comfortable with not knowing." Anonymous I'd finally arrived in Istanbul late at night. My sister had arranged for a driver to pick me up at the airport.
"If you can get tornthe point in witnessing in meditation, where you realize that everything is moving by itself, then you drop out of any idea of yourself and into formless consciousness. The experience of separation is cancelled out and you rest in your natural state. It is here that everything comes right. It is in this that every cell of your being gets healed and transformed back into its natural state of vibrating bliss. It is intoxicating, all encompassing and completely gratifying. From the perspective of the mind, happiness is somethingr
In my line of work, I have no lack of clients and students seeking to manifest more abundance in their lives. Better finances, better health, better relationships. Everyone wants something, and the universe encourages people to ask and receive. From The Prayer of Jabez to the Abraham-Hicks ...
This question was asked in one of the first self-improvement seminars we ever took, and it had quite a profound impact. It was mind-boggling to think about the amount of needless suffering we had inflicted upon ourselves in relationships, simply by being attached to our position. It must be ...
An intriguing discussion popped up on social media. It all started with a question: “Is crying in the workplace okay? Does it show you are genuinely human or weak or overly sensitive or ______________(fill in the blank)?” Unde eath a question like that is the proverbial value assessment: ‘Is crying a good or a bad thing?’ Martha Stewart would approve.
The inspiration for my blogging comes from many different sources, however the one I most frequently rely on is personal experiences. Recently I was told that my “happiness meter” was being adjusted upward. In other words, my most frequent state of being was being adjusted to reflect a much greater allowing and experiencing of joy in my life. It is from this enhanced level of joy that I would be more capable of creating and experiencing what I most desire in life. I have been sharing the concept of all humans having a default setting for quite some time, but a happiness meter, really?
A nice definition of an awakened person: a person who no longer marches to the drums of society, a person who dances to the tune of the music that springs up from within. ~ Anthony de Mello
The new age/self help industry is often about building yourself up. Making yourself more special more successful, more liked, more confident. And there is nothing wrong with this. This brings you to a certain level of happiness. But enlightenment is the opposite. Spiritual enlightenment is about allowing the facade to fall apart, to allow yourself to be exactly as you are and to surrender into that. When you allow the idea of who you think you are to crumble, when you stop trying to make yourself different than you are, then all that is left in this moment is consciousness.
When my insides started ringing like the bells of a five-alarm fire, I didn’t know what was happening. That strong, engulfing feeling of anxiety rose up like a life-threatening wave, sweeping me away from the inside. The first time I experienced this, it took my breath away, literally.
Living from the presence of God within means to have come to the realization of Spirit and trust it, and rely on in more than you have previously relied on the world to take care of you, provide you with jobs, shelter and clothing. When you no longer think that you have to join the flock who think they are born and later die in and in between you should go to school, get a job, get married, have children, car, dog and a house, travel sometimes, get retired later, save money and hope for the best.
One of the biggest blocks to happiness and to clear inner guidance is guilt, which is a kissing cousin of shame. I'm not talking about the naturally occurring sense of being out of alignment with Life which is a wonderful mechanism that when noticed and heeded brings us back on track and is soon forgotten. I'm talking about the toxic kind that tends to be embedded in the psyche and debilitating in that it keeps us from expressing our uniqueness and from truly being happy in life.
Okay guys, put down the beer can, shut off the TV and pay attention; THIS COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE! Your wife/girfriend has made some sort of comment that led you to believe that Valentine's day was no big deal. You took her at her word, because after all, you have an honest relationship, right? (CUE THE BUZZER) WRONG!!!!!
There are several words that are synonymous with harmony: peace, balance, rapport, cooperation, and unity. So many happenings in the world today are the opposite of the descriptive words above. So much of the world longs for peace, unity, and balance. It seems to be elusive, yet, it so many ways, it’s so simple. It really is. The saying goes something like, “Peace begins at home.” In order for us to ever expect peace in society or peace between nations we must learn to find it within ourselves and exemplify it to those we love right in our own homes.
If you have a tendency to procrastinate, you probably catch yourself saying things such as the following on a regular basis: - “Where did all the time go?” - “How is it 5:00 p.m. already?” - “I can’t believe I didn’t get any work done on that important project. What was I doing all day?”
"In outward seeking and desiring you are always chasing what is seemingly ahead of this moment. You are always looking to be satisfied in the future. So the very experience of outward seeking will always be discontentment. It cannot be any other way because satisfaction is always just ahead of you, just in front of you. Like the man on the donkey cart holding the carrot just in front of donkey so it keeps walking, no matter how much the donkey walks the carrot is always just out of reach. So in desire, there is that constant resistance to being here;r
