Our mental muscles give us the abilities to take charge of our life, change the course of habitual actions and achieve the results we desire! In the Thinking Into Results program I teach my clients, we cover the six powerful mental muscles everyone has and how to use them. They are as follows: Perceptionr What we perceive depends on our point of view and the current situation. If you are tall, others are short and if you are short, others are tall.

What are you taking in? Our grandparents before us were born into a world with minimal newspaper exposure, no radios, no television and no other stimuli distractions, except for the occasional game that made them think or strategize. Bill Jensen, author of “Simplicity”, “the most conservative estimates show business information doubling every three years, and at some companies, it doubles every year.” Think about it. Isn’t it amazing that Edison

Some management tools fail to affect any change; but here is one that will if properly implemented. Mission and Vision Statements have been crafted by organizations for years. The attention to mission and vision is warranted, as studies indicate that organizations that have Mission and Vision Statements quite simply outperform those that do not. Here are a few varied snapshots to show the difference that mission and vision statements can make in your business and life: • A family-owned inn had operated for three generations without turning a profit.
When it comes to life are you settling for what life throws you or are you exploring and creating to get what you want and live life to the fullest? Do you even agree with the statement "what life throws at you", or do you believe that we have created our life up to this point and today we create our tomorrow? Is your life stagnant? Let me explain.
One of my favorite topics to speak on is goal setting; specifically, the importance of writing down your goals. On a small sheet of paper, I’ve written down my aspirations on one side and my affirmations on the other. I copied and laminated this sheet of paper, keeping one in my wallet, ...
We have all been in situations where we needed to make a good impression. The key is to have the person feel as if we are "similar" to him or her. Research indicates that people are more open, relaxed and willing to give you what you need if they see you as "like" them. Here are the top 5 ...
DO YOU WANT MORE INCOME WITH THAT? Most sales professionals and business owners make the mistake of denying their customers the opportunity to purchase a valuable add-on after they close the big deal for fear that they will risk losing the sale. “I’ll sell them more later,” they think.
When you think of that next step for yourself in your life or career/business how often do you say to yourself, "I just wish I could figure this out!"? Do you ask this question and then launch into a bunch of mental gymnastics of working really hard to find an answer? If so, you’re not alone... I hear it all the time from people in my classes and often from people when they first come to me for coaching. How does this habit, this energy of trying to figure it all out leave you feeling? Perhaps you feel: * Struggle (I’m going to figure this out if it kills me dammit!)r
Sales is not the evil of the world. Although many would have you believe it is. It is, instead, one of the most important skills you can have in life. Because many of the things you have to do in your life involves selling something in one way or another. As sales is just the business word for persuasion. And the reality is, you have to persuade people to do things for you every day. You need to persuade employers to give you a job. You have to persuade your coworkers that th
I personally know some success coaches that would tell you that it’s easier to attract money than it is to attract your dream partner. Well, I disagree with that, because if I were to believe it, it would be like believing that the law of attraction is partial when it’s not. The law of attraction works the exact same way whether we are looking to attract something or not. All the law of attraction responds to is what you align with. What you focus on.

Fact: If you don't market your coaching services it doesn't matter how good you feel you are ... you won't have any business. That may come across as being pretty obvious but I'm constantly amazed at how many coaches think that the world is going to beat a path to their door simply becase they are good at what they do. Let me share the top 3 mistakes that coaches make when attempting to market their coaching business. Mistake #1 - Lack of Visibility
It can take many years to become an elite-level athlete; many years of absolute dedication, total commitment, and personal sacrifice. Itâs often a solitary occupation and is generally a thankless task: thereâs little financial help or encouragement unless youâve already made it to the top, so athletes are often forced to beg and borrow just to make ends meet so that they can continue to compete at the highest levels. Fortunately times have changed: the London Olympics h
In previous articles we’ve looked at getting clear on what you want to accomplish in your relationships, and why. Now let’s look at the next step to developing the connections in your life: examining what you’re bringing to the table… The way to strengthen or develop a relationship is to identify what is already working – or at least the possibilities and potential – as well as an awareness of what isn’t. We can then maximize the positive aspects of the relationship while working together to develop and practice more adaptive alte atives to what’s broken.
Assignment chart can help students to get done their homework on time. It makes them aware about their assignment responsibilities and how they can do it in an organised way. Students can also trace status of their homework completion in order to complete it on time. In brief it is a small paper that updates you about your finished and unfinished school homework task for all subjects with their dead line. So it is quite beneficial for every student. Here you can learn that ho
Everybody has a Time Dictator inside them. This is the person who when you want to goof off and be totally unproductive, wags their finger at you and says ‘This must be done... NOW!’

The best part is: they’ve created a step by step formula to actually become a millionaire in your business. Here’s all you need: 1. Hungry Buying Audience
What’s your body telling you when it gets sick? As the BlockBuster Coach, one of the most common blocks I hear is the lament, “I need a sign.” My answer is, “You need another sign? Pay attention to the signs your body had been sending you for so long.”
It's that time of year when you either dread or love the holiday season. With the hustle and bustle and myriad of obligations it can be crazy making. Add to that the fact that you may get the opportunity to spend parts of the holiday with family members you rarely see (and some that drive you ...
My name is Stephanie Haber. I am writing to you today because I am burning inside to share with you the lessons I have learned. When the Grateful dead said “what a long strange trip it’s been” they knew what they were talking about. How many times have you simply just shook your head, feeling ...
After a meeting with a client today I was struck at how positive my mood was. I reflected on why this was, and I came to the conclusion that it really boiled down to authenticity: to the opportunity for both of us to just ‘be real’. We both took advantage of that space that coaching affords – the space to just be able to speak openly and honestly, and to join one another as human beings sharing the human condition. I thought about how important ‘being real’ really is, and about how difficult it is to define what this really means.
Question: nnI have been trying to manifest my desires and getting nowhere. I have always believed in positive thinking and last year read the law of attraction and thought that took positive thinking a step further. I can't get it to work for me. I have tried to keep my thoughts on what I am trying to manifest and not be discouraged because it is not happening. Then I discovered your web site and now one of your books âThe Book of Secretsâ and you believe in 'letting go'.
Here’s the thing – a lot of times we just don’t accomplish things because we simply don’t do the action to get us there. Even all the positivity and all the confidence in ourselves won’t work unless we roll our sleeves and get things done. Here’s 5 mantra quotes to remind yourself how: 1. Well done is better than well said. ~Benjamin Franklinr
Good leaders in any capacity, whether managers at work or parents at home, need help from others. They need the right people to take on the right tasks – the tasks for which they don’t possess the right amount of knowledge, skill, or time to do themselves; or the tasks that others should be doing for their own learning and growth. So here's how to ask for help:
I’ve recently been trying to get ahold of someone to come and take a look at a problem I’m having with my roof. I’ve left three messages with this particular company, and none have been returned. Similarly, a few months ago I needed to get a potential moisture problem in my basement looked at. I phoned two different companies numerous times – one called me back once, but I missed the call and they were never to be heard from again. The other company booked a total of three appointments with me and did not show for any of them.
Do you value being modest? I seem to be encountering both men and women lately who have a thing for being humble. Some are leaders within their organizations who see humility, or even self-deprecation, as a means to getting respect from their teams by putting them on the same level. Others are entrepreneurs who don’t want to “oversell” themselves or toot their own horn. Both groups are selling themselves short and diminishing their power, and the power of those around them, b
Success is a journey not a destination. When you are building the successful life you desire it’s very "human" (i.e., "normal") to experience occasional moments of self doubt and feeling down. When you recognize one of these low moments you can crank your SuccessEsteem™ back up to a power level quickly and easily by implementing one or more of the ideas below. 1. Reenergize Your Primary Goalsr
I read an interesting story in Wired today. The name of the article was "Why Money Can't Buy Happiness" by Jonah Lehrer. The general theme of this piece is explaining why America - the richest nation of this century - is growing more and more unhappy...the richer we get. This is exactly opposite of what most people believe. There is a general idea among the masses that they will be happy "when...". A very frequent version of that sentence is, “When I have money…"
An Original Perspective on Waging Conflict as a Way to Promote and Restore Self-dignity Conflict is a fact of life for all of us, but too many painful consequences are generated by avoiding or managing it in the wrong way. When we deal with everybody else day after day in any capacity as ...
In this hard charging, never stop world we live in it can seem like if you stop to catch your breath for even a second, you’ll be run over by the tide of people trying to get ahead of you. Trampled like the crowds in Pamplona during the running of the bulls. After all, it’s all about moving forward, right? Getting ahead, getting where you want to go, achieving more, and maybe even having more... If you stopped to catch your breath, take a weekend (or longer) away, or simply claimed some solid time just for YOU, do you find yourself feeling:r

You are a leader. Stake your claim to what is yours. It’s very empowering to acknowledge, celebrate, and truly own all of the aspects of our existence. And each of us is a leader on some level: at home, at work, in the community… through formal or informal roles. Whether a CEO or a stay-at-home parent, we all have the ability to inspire others and create action through our ideas, words, and examples.
I like to think of myself as a Jane of all trades, I can dance, act, write, coach, sing, produce, decorate, twirl batons, and perform cheerleading routines. I'm pretty good at them all BUT when it comes to business I had to hone in on 1 in order to "Be Me For A Living"!
Focusing the mind on the positive We all go through some tough times in life, that’s just life; it can’t always be a bed of roses, if we are going to learn and grow up. However life is the total sum of your experiences, its meaning being what you make of it. The frame you use to understand ...
The way we sit, stand or walk affects our mind and therefore our results. Likewise, the way we feel affects our posture and movements. “There is an inner and an outer side to everything,” as Thomas Troward said. Your Posture and Your Mood? Think about a happy and successful moment, a moment you were at your best. How did you sit and stand? Remember your smile, the excitement in your eyes visible to everyone. Now you can recreate that inner feeling, being at your best, by the way you hold yourself, move and smile.
Unified Field theory (Niels Bohr and Werner Heisenberg) The four fundamental forces in the universe (electromagnetism, gravity, the strong interaction, and the weak interaction) are actually types of a single high-energy force called the grand unified field theory or quantum field theory.
If you are a good communicator in your own culture, does that automatically make you competent in another culture? The answer is no, if you only interpret through your own cultural glasses and don’t take cultural differences into account. Since communication happens on both a verbal and on a non-verbal level, understanding non-verbal signals in a conversation is just as important as understanding what is said. To be able to interpret non-verbal signals from another culture accurately it is first necessary to become aware of your own non-verbal signals.
My firecracker of a daughter, Annabella AKA Bella, is turning two on September 4th. I must say I marvel at her energy, her zest, and her strong will. This phase of parenting is often referred to as the "terrible twos", but I must say, this stage has been a profound teacher for me. I am learning so much about life by witnessing Bella in all her two year old glory. Here are some of my favorite lessons: • Celebrate EVERYTHING: This is one of my favorite things about being Annabella's mom. She celebrates e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g, no matter how small or large. The Spiritual Life is an inclusive way of living that calls us to a higher level of consciousness and integration that most of our systems, to date, have not duplicated. When the soul is guided and lead by spiritual principles, the energy that is produced is highly creative, motivated and focused. The driving force becomes outer-directed and therefore open and ready to engage the energy of others in positive directions toward a common project or cause. In other words, independent, I remain a single unit; interconnected and integrated, I have the collective power of a larger whole.
Overcome The #1 - Productivity Mistake Introduction This article is primarily for any coach that’s trying to make a full-time living from being a coach and that also has to market and promote their coaching services and products. Many of us begin the process of writing personal mission and vision statements only to find the “doing” more baffling than we had thought. Some of us opt for words that when pressed to define are just words that “sound good” or found on one of those sites that list common statements made up for anyone. No wonder frustration follows and the self work is set aside. Perhaps the best way to begin on your personal mission statement would be to acknowledge that in some way most of us serve one another. This starts the discovery of what and how we would choose to do this service.
