It is an interesting thing I have noticed, that everyone dreams and wishes to be a certain way, free of negative emotions, free in spirt, open of heart, without pain or fear, and meet someone like that. Yet if they met someone who possesses those qualities, they say it cannot be real, they are faking it and just hiding or trying to trick them for their own benefit.
I was first introduced to Think and Grow Rich by my grandfather when I was 12 years old. He gave me his copy, an original printing from India, his home country. I read it and it worked. From literally zero assets and no help whatsoever from my parents, at age 12, I was a millionaire by 25, owning 8 companies and retired at 29. Through my life, I have tried to teach people how to succeed based on my experience and the principles in the book, but with very little success.
This article is directed towards people with low self-esteem and so is one sided to that view. A child is born very intelligent with an excellent learning capacity. This is based on the fact of how quickly a child learns to speak possibly several languages, walk, etc. The child is directly or indirectly told they are worthless or put down in some way. You are limited, only a child, can’t do this or that. You will eat when I tell you, sleep when I tell you. You have no ability to act or decide for yourself. You are trained to be limited.
As an example, when people speak about the roads on a snowy day and say it is a mess, that is a negative attitude. Even if it is true, it may be messy but it is what it is. You will deal with whatever you must to get where you are going and it will be over with. There is nothing that can be done, and being negative does not make it better. I know this is a small thing and you may not have even noticed, but it is significant.
When we read something inspirational or poetic for example, our ability to understand is limited to what we have previously experienced. Everything is taken with identification in the literal sense, we try to identify the feelings of the author or the teaching. The problem is that you can only identify things that you have previously encountered. For example, if you have cooked for many years, but due to circumstances, you only know about 3 spices, that is it.
There are three kinds of emotions, those related to the animal level or physical body, the ego/personality and those related to the ‘Something More’ that is referred to by people who feel there is something more to life. As the human body and personality change from day to day and year to year, emotions change as well. This results in a life with ups and downs, erratic behaviour, beliefs and promises that change in time.
Deadlines are a natural part of the universe. There is no need to get stressed and resist them. In the Kybalion, one of the Hermetic laws is; As above, so below. This is to say that within the larger, there is a smaller version of the larger. The microcosm is in the macrocosm, etc. If there are deadlines in a company, that means there will be deadlines in each department, and then deadlines put on each employee. The law of cause and effect is seen in action, the original cause, a deadline to the client, trickles down to every link in the chain of creating what the client wants.
Forgiveness is a very popular concept. Everyone who is interested in self healing and personal development is talking about forgiveness and how that is being compassionate etc. However, many people find it difficult or impossible to truly forgive. Some people may think they have forgiven, but a little inquiry and you will find that they still harbor ill feelings.
It is a common dream, many people have it, but I have achieved it for many years on a small scale. I would now like to make my dream grow. I have built and had a successful school of this nature in Colorado, but I left that country and now live in New Zealand where I would like to rebuild it. I have purchased the property in Auckland to build the school on, and will sell my house to put towards the building of this new school, in all I have put in $1,500,000 of my own money. The property is quite large and borders a reserve, just a few hundred meters from the estuary.
In the search for knowledge especially spiritual knowledge, everyone wants the good stuff, high quality, the real meat of knowledge, but so few are willing to pay for it, and they do not understand how to pay. And so they float and wander from school to school, teacher to teacher always feeling disappointed and let down by inadequate teachers. “Another worthless empty teacher of just fluff. When will I find a real quality teacher who teaches the real stuff that can feed my hunger to learn and grow. Aren’t there any good teachers out there?
People who fight for preservation of a species, often neglect what preservation of life requires, which is in many cases, the end of another life. Humans are the only creature who can choose an alte ate food source. Lions cannot become vegetarians as much as elephants can become carnivorous. When you want to preserve one life, you are condemning others to die, this is nature. In fact, the proportions are that one life must take hundreds or thousands of lives throughout its lifetime.

The problem is that all the religious teachings have to be interpreted and there are so many interpretations that the interpreters themselves argue with each other over the true meaning. This article is meant to give you some food for thought on self reflection as to the quality of you as a human being.
Words are our main form of communication. Words have the greatest power to make us happy or sad, aggravated or elated. How can something that has no actual material reality have such a powerful effect over us emotionally and physically? Here is a very old thought that gives an idea of how we can release ourselves from the effects of other peoples words; "If someone gives you a gift, and you do not accept it, who does it belong to?" If someone threw a pillow at you, and you did not react to catch it, it would bounce right off your body and fall away.

Every negative emotion is learnt. Negative emotions need to be defined so they are not confused with other emotions which we now call negative. For instance, murder, rape and so on instil tremendous anger and negative emotions. So you will ask wouldn’t those be natural?
With all the uproar about how the world is changing to conform with the demands of immigrant Muslim demands, I felt it was the right time to make a statement. We have all been lied to, cheated, tricked and hurt. Sometimes it is just the common result of business, other times it is incompetence or a lack of accepting responsibility, but most of the time it is someone who is either a stranger or at least not very close to you, and this can upset you but you get over it. Inner peace and happiness will never be attained as long as your mind is upset.

If you have no useful purpose, your work, job, something that you do that is useful and serving humanity daily, or if you do not find what you do to be a useful service, then you may have a feeling that there is no reason for you to get up in the morning. Whether we realize it consciously or not, in contemplation we will find that our basic nature is to serve other people. If we look at religions, God wants us to serve Him or Her, we are created to serve God. How do we serve God? What a ridiculous thought, what could we do for God that It could not do for Itself?
Everyone accepts that nobody is perfect and it is impossible for anyone to be perfect. At the same time, almost everyone would like to know and be in unity with God, or whatever term you use for what you perceive as a greater being. The problem is that God is perfect and there is no way for anyone to be in unity with perfection unless you are perfect yourself. How can you have a desire to unify with perfection when you accept that it is impossible for you to be perfect?
Paranoia is fear of being caught. What exactly are you afraid of being caught for? Is it for being pure and perfect? That is doubtful. If a person is paranoid, that means they have something to fear, something they did wrong or are too weak to defend. Paranoia is in the mind, it is a mental fear, that means that there is something in your mind that causes you to fear. Paranoia is an incomprehensible fear. It is something that controls you, yet you do not understand it and are unable to do anything about.

Here, I shall show how the concept is true and false at the same time by exploring another level of its implications in ones pursuit of personal growth and finding happiness. The concept of reinca ation can serve the purpose of encouraging one to work on improving themselves out of fear that their next life will be a suffering one if they are not good in this life. It can serve the same purpose of the promise of heaven and punishment of hell.
The meaning of Eastern in this article derives from a combination of the original teachings of the Buddha, Confucius, Lao Tzu, Sufism, and others as understood by me but does not mean to imply that all people in the east are this way, just the teachings. The western way is traditional psychotherapy and its assimilation into current so called spiritual and new age thoughts. This is also not to say that all westerners are that way. It does however show the difference in the cultures and the typical mentality. If you are sure you are not, ‘like that’, you probably are.
Is the difference between being open and closed emotionally simply being focused or preoccupied? Maybe we are just too preoccupied with the stresses and problems of life to be able to relax our mind enough and that is partially what prevents our ability to feel and connect. Feeling your heart is closed, empty or longing to have some connection with another person is real, but what is the real cause of that isolated feeling?
I was reading an article about Kobe, Japan and came across a very telling report which gives an incite in to the dangerous territory we are going as a species. I do not think this attitude is limited to Kobe or Japan, but rather is global. The point of this article is to ask; are you helping the world, or part of the problem? The following sections of the article on Kobe** basically say it is wrong that women should stay at home and raise their own children. “...much remains to be done in Kobe and in Japan overall.” i.e., things are wrong and must change.
Self-lying is our greatest hindrance to success. The truth cannot be found when you are living in a lie. Self-lying is just that, lying to yourself. We all do it, daily in fact. We may call it by other names, justify it, ignore it, or give in and believe it without even knowing what we are doing. Self-lying destroys many of our abilities and potential and prevents us from improving ourselves by making us think we are fine as we are, or not capable of achieving what we desire.
There is a world of difference between running towards God and running away from the world. If you find the world empty of value, void of meaning beyond the very short and temporary life span of a human being, and this causes you to turn towards a spiritual life, leaving the material world for the empty pleasures it is, then you may be just running away.
Knowledge of how something functions is vital to being able to use it, be it a nuclear power plant or a can opener. If we do not know what it is and how it works and how to use it properly, it is of little or no use, or can even be a great danger to yourself and society. Our mind is the first, last and ever present machine that we deal with every minute of our lives and yet we do not know its ways. In order to understand a device, first we look at its exterior, and then we go further to explore its interior.

Self-mutilation, or other means of self-inflicted pain, physically, mentally or emotionally, are common to everyone. Everyone finds some way to inflict one form of pain or another on themselves, and we all wonder why. One young person told me that the reason she liked piercing was because it hurt. I found that strange at the time, but in fact, after enough years of self-observation, I must admit I too see a benefit in pain, although my pains are not physical.
The title of this article is a basic principle of Buddhist teachings. The common interpretation is that unfulfilled desires cause pain and suffering. This is very easy to understand, that desires themselves are the cause of suffering and we have to remove all desires to end suffering. However, I have a different view of this teaching and will present some indications in Buddhist parables to substantiate my view which may totally change the common thought that we have to eliminate all desires in order to find happiness.

I wonder...when something new is opened or discovered and there is so much activity, people say how wonderful and helpful it is, are they lying? or just wrong. For the purposes of this discussion, I am not speaking of a new restaurant, rather this is about something that is of benefit to you and your mental or emotional state. Something that brings you benefits or further towards your goal.
This article is about how to increase your awareness, learning how to hold your tongue, to not say the wrong thing and, not stick your foot in your mouth. All this is achieved by removing selfish desires. You may not realize how much of your life is ruled by very subtle but powerful selfish thoughts which you do not even realize is being selfish. This level of selfishness is not what you would commonly recognize as being selfish, but is a very powerful negative factor in our lives.
Our emotions have a powerful effect on our body, giving it all sorts of stress related illnesses. Our mind creates our emotions. What we think is happening is the beginning of our emotional responses. Emotions begin with an event that we interpret, thus all emotions begin with the thoughts that are our interpretation and opinions based on our automatic habitual responses to certain events.
I have spent a couple of months visiting my father and I have come to see some very disturbing things about not just myself, but how our personality, and thus our life, is formed and lived. The method I present to you here allows us to discover who we truly are rather than who we think we are. With the discovery of the truth of our character, we automatically achieve a higher level of self development and become able to achieve our goals and desires.
It is not true, in my experience, that a person’s thoughts or energy can effect another person. The way they APPEAR to effect you is by your sharing the thought. You can find happiness in ending negative emotions by seeing their true source. If I hate you and you sense it somehow, you know I hate you by the process of thinking. I am not using the word ‘thinking’ as imagining, rather I mean it in the sense of intellectual comprehension.
The concept of splitting the bill when out with your friends for a meal or coffee for example, each paying for themselves, is a terrible thing because it robs us of the joy of giving and joy of receiving. Not only the joy is lost, but there is a far more insidious problem that invades our heart. In take turns treating each other, we create a loving world. This way we get the joy of giving and the joy of receiving. This is important because, if sincerely done with joy and an open heart, we also get the feeling of being cared about and loved.
How do you know when to let go, in business or personal situations in life. This is a very difficult question, but one that is vital to living a life that continuously moves forward. Afterall this planet is moving through space at 1,350,000 miles an hour, so we may as well keep moving also, it is just logical. Besides that, everything is always moving either forward or back. If something stands still it will have its appropriate equivalent to a stagnant pond, smelling and slimy, with no vibrant life at all.

This applies to any material object, even air has a degree of resistance if you can feel it. This is the pressure of one force against another.
I have experienced too many times and have heard from so many other people about conversations that went inexplicably wrong. You may meet someone, have a conversation, even by text or email, and all of a sudden with tremendous ease and agility that you had no idea you possessed, your foot ended up in your mouth.
This is a question of action and reaction. Do we create events or do the events form our way of thinking, and then once formed, do we influence events. Certainly one thing is clear, if there are negative events, our thoughts will normally become negative. If this continues long enough, it will be difficult to remember which came first, the events or our thoughts. Knowing how to correct the situation becomes almost impossible.
Continuing on from Part 1 of this article, the removal of pain brings pleasure and happiness. When you can see that mental pain is 100% in your mind due to your resistance of the state of things as they are, you cease to believe the illusion. At that moment, pain is gone and pleasure, or rather contentment, presides.
Feeling inferior prevents you from finding happiness and can make anyone overdo proving that they are adequate or superior rather than accept the reality that they simply are not perfect or perhaps even capable of doing the particular task. We are all less than someone else, and more than others, but people do not like to accept that they are inferior to anyone.
In order to fix something, you must first know that it is broken. Now you can target the part that is broken, and then fix it. The problem is that although most people are aware there is something wrong, they do not know what the real problem is, and so cannot fix it. This is commonly expressed with the question of; “Why do I do what I know is bad for me, but do not do what is good for me.”
This article is about the ability you have to communicate with your past lives, and how to develop that ability. Please bear in mind that these words and concepts, the way I am explaining them to you are only quasi accurate. I say this because in order to describe the spiritual realm in human terms is not possible, it is apples and oranges as they say. We do our best.
I was asked a question; “I’m trying to find a way to balance having a relationship and achieve my goal. But I see I’ve failed to realise I cannot have both. Because my goal is also to be balanced my thinking is that I needed to have a relationship in order achieve this.”
All things come from seeds, all plants and living beings, eggs are seeds. If every thing originates from a seed, and thoughts and emotions are things, then thoughts too, come from seeds. The proof that thoughts and emotions are real things is in their effect on our physical body. Don't emotions and thoughts cause some physical effect? Is not stress felt in tense muscles, or anger felt in physical discomfort, or love as butterflies in the stomach or other tingles?
Activity without fulfilment is just passing time while your body decays. It does not fulfil the emotional needs. Only by creating according to your own personal nature can fulfil that. If there is no channel for you to be creative, then the energy that is available for that must be used somewhere else. Gas in a car is good, gas on an open fire is not good. A burning match on a controlled, focused gas vent on the stove or heater is good, a burning match in a room with closed doors and windows filled with gas from a bottle that was was leaking slowly is not good.
