Let us say you want to be dependent on a particular pond for a year-round supply of fish. Suppose the pond completely dries up in summer. Would that pond be a reliable source of food for the whole year? NO WAY!!!

We've all been through a dark night of the soul at some point in our lives. Wallowing in self-pity, feeling abandoned, betrayed, let down, filled with anger at the unjustness of life in general. It's not a good place to be, or a good feeling….in fact, it can make you feel physically ill and depressed.
Practicing gratitude as a means to happiness has been in the mainstream for years. Long-term studies support the effectiveness of gratitude, suggesting that a positive, appreciative attitude contributes to greater success in all aspects of your life, including having a higher sense of overall well-being.
There’s a reason that State Fairs are so commonplace in August you know. In fact the American county fair is the very symbol of a celebration of plenty, of community and of pride in the fruits of labor. VERY much a ripple effect from what was called ‘The First Harvest’ during the magical, mystical days of olde. But, back to now. After all the work of planting, watering and weeding is done, August is THE time of year to show off the fruits (and flowers and veggies!) of your hard work especially if they are included in a Magically Delicious jelly or jam!
UPPER SECTION Spirit.—That part of man which enables him to be self-conscious. That which he really is. We dornnot see the spirit of man any more than we see the Spirit of God. We see what man does; but werndo not see the doer. Christ, Logos.—The Word of God manifest in and through man. In a liberal sense the Christ means the Entire Manifestation of God and is, therefore, the Second Person of the Trinity. Christ is a Universal Idea, and each one “Puts on The Christ” to the d
Daily Spiritual Insight from the Story of The Little Prince Everybody is seeking fulfillment. But how do you achieve fulfillment? A great many people live at a surface level, seeking to be entertained in life, to have fun, to "have a nice day,” hoping to experience fulfillment. But they never go deep in either their understanding or their relationships. Fulfillment isn’t found in the shallows. It’s only when we stop merely dipping our toes in the water's edge and plunge fully into life’s flow that we begin to experience what it is to be fulfilled.
We know that we cannot control life, but how we respond to life’s events makes a huge difference between feeling like a victim of circumstances and embracing how powerful we truly are as co-creators of our reality. I would like to share my own process here to illustrate what I’ve been writing about lately regarding the rising feminine energies, especially since today’s powerful Blue Moon urges us all to see beyond the veils of the world to bring in a higher vision of what is possible for each of us and on planet Earth.
According to Dr. Fred Luskin, Director of the Stanford University Forgiveness Projects and a pioneer in the practice of forgiveness therapy, “What happens when you’re stressed is blood flow draws away from the parts of the brain that think creatively and straightforwardly. That is what stress is designed to do. The purpose of your body’s stress response is to make you stupid.”
The world in which we now reside is the result of all the desires/creations of those that came before. For me, this seems to be a time of a "great awakening". Humanity is evolving and this is very exciting. More and more are beginning to become aware that there is so much more than what our physical senses can detect. We are remembering who and what we really are. Topics that were once considered "out there" are now becoming familiar...energy healing, feeling the presence of loved ones who've transitioned, feeling guided by a higher power, etc.
To live a self-determined life is the essence of consciousness. A self-determined life is fundamentally different from a life that’s determined by our ego. When the ego is in charge of running our life, we only have an illusion of determining our life, not the actual experience of doing so. To be able to determine our own life requires us to be free, a state that few on our planet yet enjoy. Even those of us who think we are free are so heavily programmed by family and society that we don’t even know we aren’t free.
The concept of forgiveness is spoken of in many spiritual traditions. In Biblical terms, it is said that we should turn the other cheek, have gentle behavior and practice nonviolence. To be able to do this, you must be able to forgive the one who has affronted you or who has harmed you.
In the beginning of the birth of creation the first coming of Christ was the birth of creation. God breath a desire and the Holy Ghost or Mary carried within its virgin whom the Christ consciousness. Which was symbolized by the son of God? which wasâ the only begotten Sonâ child of spirit. The PERFECT REFLECTION of cosmic consciousness (GOD THE FATHER) in and beyond all creation.â In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God and the word was GOD.â So the p
It’s so easy for us humans to get bogged down in the stories we tell ourselves about ourselves, which are mostly not good stories. Our mental chatter goes round and round about how inadequate we are, how much we mess up, how we aren’t as good as someone else is, how we ought to be better, ought to do better. All of this dismal self-chatter stops us living fully. Positive thinking is supposed to combat this negativity. But it works only to a limited degree. It never really cures us of our self-deprecating self-talk.
Hummingbird Community Ranch is nestled in a valley among the Aspens, Cottonwoods, and Ponderosa Pines in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of northern New Mexico on 500 acres.r
Imagine sitting down in an inspiring, sacred space and mindfully envisioning something you would like to bring into your life. You immerse every fiber of your sensing being into the experience of receiving this thing you wish to have. You see it happening right before your very eyes. You feel the excitement as this situation unfolds and presents itself to you. You see the people involved, the colors and the sounds. Your joyful heart flutters as you realize you have manifested your desire.
The study of meditation often crosses over into the belief systems of the cultures in which the meditative forms originated. Very often these beliefs are unfamiliar, conflicting, and perhaps not very useful for modern practitioners in Western societies. Examples of these might be devotion to various deities or acceptance of particular creation myths. However, there is one concept that remains a constant across so many different forms of meditation, martial arts, and healing practices that it deserves some examination, not perhaps in terms of truth, but in terms of usefulness.
rnA Practice of Self-Love through personal challenge! How do we define such an overarching concept: Self-Love? Take a few moments for yourself to pause and reflect and then consider how much you feel you really do Love yourself? Although most people would probably say that they do, the reality is that their behavior does not necessarily prove congruent with what they may say. For if we truly Love ourselves then we need to be true to our word and honor our core essence! What w
Does it feel like something is out of balance in your life? Maybe you’ve done a ton of healing work, you’ve read all the self-help books, you’ve meditated with the best of them, but still something feels off.
If youâre experiencing states such as frustration, aggravation, or disappointment in life â this is a clear sign that youâre anchoring and attracting the type of reality you donât want. The key to solving this issue involves raising your consciousness in the following way: How do we anchor on things we donât want? Wouldnât we be smart enough to realize that we donât like whatâs going on, and stop doing it? Logic would tell you that this is correct, but then ag
Coaching, we don’t need no stinkin’ coach… in the old Humphrey Bogart classic, ‘The Treasure of the Sierra Madre’ some bandits pretending to be Federales have parnoid Fred C. Dobbs (Bogart) cornered at a gold mine he was mining. Dobbs (Bogart), from behind the cover of a bolder, ask to see their badges and that is where a now infamous line, “badges, we don’t need no stinkin’ badges’ became the new line for not having something one really needs. Coaching, We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Coach

In order to truly follow dharma, four qualities need to be cultivated. They are Vistara, or the expansiveness of vision; Rasa, flow, to be saturated with blissful awareness and movement towards your ete al essence; Seva, service, and Tatsthiti, divine union, wholeness.
TRAFFIC SCHOOL OF AWARENESS Living in any major metropolitan area, drivers generally take to the road with a grimace; for undoubtedly, the nemesis traffic will be waiting. And if so, that hour or two in the lanes becomes a time of hell. Yet it does not have to be a hell. In fact, it could be a time of quite the opposite. Yes, that’s right; it could be heaven, right smack in the middle of rush hour. Most people get in a car, and with tunnel vision, seeing only the future where they want to be, miss what’s around them.
After a recent divorce, I was definitely at a major turning point, in my young life of thirty years. In early October of 1979, Bruce and I flew fourteen hours to Nandi, Fiji. We had gotten an incredible introductory airfare on Continental airlines for five hundred dollars round trip, with Hawaii included, and good for up to one year. During ’79, Brooke Shields was busy filming The Blue Lagoon in Fiji. She would soon be our neighbor, island-wise. In Nandi airport, the first thing we heard was Bula, Fijian for hello. We’d just stepped off the plane into another world.
In Prosperity Manifestation Classes, we address several basic principles. The application of techniques differs slightly for each main topic (prosperity/career, relationships and health.) This post briefly outlines the applications.
Oh the power of choice. While we may not feel as if we have a choice over what we experience, we always have the choice of how we feel and therefore react to the experience. When you choose to make feeling good your top priority, reaching for thoughts that consistently move you up the Emotional Scale keeps you in the higher vibrations that will attract more of what you want to experience into your life.
CREATING CHANGE TO PROSPERITY Moving from one level to another, or shifting from one perspective to another, requires a period of chaos in between. In the area of financial prosperity, we have imbedded doubts. Prosperity requires change. Change requires collapse of the existing pattern and the ensuing chaos that a new pattern and greater order can be found. Every benefit is preceded by a time of unsettled change. Our imbedded prosperity "deserva- bility" requires deep cleari
Love is a many-faceted topic. There is love between people, love for nature, love for animals and plants and love for the Divine. What is important in all of these different experiences of love is that you love purely. To know infinite love, you need not live up to anyone’s expectations but only take the time to turn your mind and heart toward the Divine and think of the qualities and characteristics of that divine Beloved.
I guess thereâs a lot to talk about when it comes to music, so where do I start? Well, music is important to everyone, whether they know it or not. It could be their favourite band or their favourite jingle or even a holiday song that they really like, or maybe the sound of birds in the morning; it doesnât matter, theyâre all music. But how important exactly is music? Whether you know it or not, music is a vital thing! Like the simple stuff you listen to every morning i
There is always talk about how the world needs to change. There is so much anger and hatred in the world and we all want to see more peace and love spread throughout this earth of ours. We sometimes get stuck in a place of no change because we want to see global change and we don’t believe we can do anything alone to create it. But what if everyone had the same thought? What if we all got stuck in that place and never did anything to shift our own consciousness?
Dear friends, We have two more aspects of Yama and Niyama to cover, Svadhyaya (self-reflection) and Ishvara Pranidhana ( surrender to God).
The Holidays are upon us and with the hustle and bustle of this time of year; it is also a time of reflection. We reflect upon what was accomplished, what wasn’t, what we want to achieve in the coming year and even some possible future envisioning of where we want to go. However, how much time is spent on appreciation? When was the last time you spent any amount of your time counting your blessings? While this time of year is generally spent on planning and reflection, why not make some time to show appreciation? What are you grateful for? I’ll start: I am grateful for:
Soul's Code: Everyone is a Gurur Originally writ for Soul’s Code Website in their “Peak Experiences” department titled, “The Bearable Lightness of BEing Roni Lipstein” A little while ago Paul Kaihla, Founder and CEO of Soul’s Code, a fantabulous community of LOVE’s Light, asked if I would honour him with a “Peak Experience” piece, from one whom “walks the talk”. WOW!! Talk about a Peak Experience moment of happiness ? So what is a “Peak Experience” anyways? According to Paul, “Peak Experiences are life-changing moments that become a spiritual touchstone in one’s life.”r
Ask most people what defines a man and there is inevitably going to be comments about being responsible, standing up, taking responsibility for our lives and so forth. Of course every man embodies these character traits right? I mean if this is what defines being a man then it would stand to reason that all men own these qualities through and through...right?
The world is changing. I see it all around me. More and more women are focusing on heart-centered living, embarking on a soul journey that takes them deeper within themselves, creating more meaning in their lives. It’s beautiful to watch as they grow and blossom into more vibrant versions of themselves. Often when they begin to evolve and flourish their relationships begin to change as well. Women feel that they want their connection with their partners to reflect the depth of their personal growth.
Embrace Self Empowerment To Consciously Co-Create To Embrace a Self Empowerment Model means To Embrace your Inner Brilliance. My hope is that this one sentence captures the essence of this article. The reason I say this is because in order to truly become a self-empowered individual, you need to faithfully âknow thyselfâ first. Since each of our lives are for ever-changing, it becomes the ultimate journey for which we are always traveling! Consider the Possibilities When
How many times in life do we think we are going into just another “routine” day, procedure, or something that we have been through plenty of times before? How many times does that routine situation turn into something else? Is there a way that we can tell if what should be “routine” will turn into something more? We are in times where the unexpected is all that we can expect. What “should” be gets switched up and plans get changed around. This is definitely one of those years where what doesn’t seem possible will not only be possible; but is likely.
Daily Insight from the Story of The Little Prince The announcement from Clarence House in London, city home of Prince Charles, of the engagement of Prince William, eldest son of Prince Charles and Princess Diana, to Ms. Kate Middleton has already captured the attention of much of the world. It’s another of those fairytale romances, in which the handsome prince marries his glamorous princess, that touches all our hearts.
Most people fail to understand the true meaning of abundance and power. In the modern world, power has become a synonym for wealth and we have been trained to believe that abundance is just money, since we are used to exchanging our time for it. The old saying that "time is money" has been ingrained in our minds.
We make decisions all the time...every second of every day...day in and day out. But are we examining those decisions we make in regards to how they affect our vibration? Do we take the time to examine our beliefs when we make those decisions? The decisions we make are a reflection of our beliefs and therefore deserved to be examined.
Daily Spiritual Insight from the Story of The Little Prince “I just don’t know what to get him,” Cathy, forty-two, confided in her twin sister as she tried to decide on a Christmas gift for their father. “He always says he has everything he wants.” Amy chuckled. “Just the other day I was visiting and he said the same as he always does: ‘Don’t spend your money on expensive gifts for me this Christmas. I don’t need anything.’ That’s why I always get him clothes.”
I often work with clients who want better life balance – better balance between work, personal, and family priorities. Difficulty with this issue could perhaps best be titled the Syndrome of Too Many Priorities, and I try to help clients resolve the dilemma by teaching them to practice regular questioning, self-honesty and self-kindness. How do these practices help restore life balance?
Do you ever wonder what happened to that happy, fun, carefree version of yourself you had a few years back? Before the hard times, before the loss, before the challenges, before you got knocked down? Who was that girl? Where is she now? Can you get her back??
Another approach on the path to a calm mind is something I refer to as the C.A.L.M© Approach. You will read about this approach in a minute, but first, letâs talk further about the busy mind. A busy or monkey mind kicks into high gear when surrounded by events and situations that seem to fuel our stress â relationship arguments, communication breakdowns, tight deadlines, work office conflicts, perfectionistic expectations, job insecurity, unexpected events, poor decision
At some point in our lives we have all said to ourselves or someone else, “Why do I keep attracting the same type of people into my life”, or “Why am I always having the same experiences over and over again”. We all go through this. We all reach a point in our lives when we realize and understand what we’re doing is not working for us anymore. But what can we do about it? As I’ve mentioned many times before, our belief system is the driving force behind our actions and experiences in our lives.
The ascension process can only occur with the proper development and nurturing of the inner child. This magical world of innocence and wonder has within its design a vast potential of unimaginable possibilities. It is sadly within our society abandoned and ignored through multiple influences all of which originate from a restricted awareness. This is an unfortunate direction of thought as these abilities are always available and only need activation. If called upon and more i
In the northern hemisphere, the harvest is in, winter is upon us, Canada has already celebrated, Britain too, and this week it is the turn of people in the United States to gather to give thanks. A question: What does it mean to give thanks when everything "goes wrong"? Are we supposed to push all the horrible things in life out of our thoughts and try to find some good things to be thankful for? Maybe you are thankful because you made some nice friends this year. But what if you lost friends this year, and you found yourself quite alone?
“A great deal of what people say, think, or do is actually motivated by fear, which of course is always linked with having your focus on the future and being out of touch with the Now. As there are no problems in the Now, there is no fear either.” - Eckhart Tolle, The Power of Now How in touch ...
When it comes to the quality of your life, attitude is everything! In fact, it could even be said that whatever you focus on the most, you tend to bring into your life, whether by choice or circumstance. Have you ever known someone who had a terrible attitude? Perhaps they were extremely negative and pessimistic and not much fun to be around; or they complained non-stop about how terrible their life was. Did you find it draining to be in their presence? Perhaps this person has even been you! A negative attitude will not only make you miserable, but everyone around you too!
Across the globe, the sentiment of goodwill toward others is the highest at Christmastime. At this time of year, our hearts open wider to our family, friends, work associates and to people less fortunate. Collectively, we express more compassion, understanding, appreciation and gratitude towards ourselves and others during the holidays. Unfortunately, once the holiday season is over our goodwill often wanes. Even before the decorations are stowed we find ourselves back in the
