We all come to a point in our life when we sense that things haven’t turned out quite like we expected. That moment in time when we look up and realize that many of the things we thought we would do or have or try or be “when the time was right” have not occurred and don’t seem to be anywhere on the horizon.
© 2011 - By Lisa Whatley www.InfinityLightHealing.com Many years ago when I first began my search for truth - before I knew that we are the creator of our lives - I sought advice from psychics; seeking what my future would hold, hoping they would give me a glimpse at some sort of fantasy life, perhaps wave a magic wand and create a deliciously new life for me; a life that I myself hadn’t even had time to envision!
Do we really need a January to begin anew? Every day can hold new possibilities. It depends on your state of mind. “In the beginner’s mind are infinite possibilities, in the experts mind very few,” says Zen Master Shunryu Suzuki Roshi. n n A Beginner’s Mind sees the world as though peering ...

A few years ago I came across the following text and found the message both simplistic and deeply profound, so I am sharing it with you as I begin this article. Chapter 1 I walked down the street. It looked like an interesting street. There’s a deep hole in the sidewalk. I fall in. I am lost. I am helpless. It isn’t my fault. It takes forever to find my way out. Chapter 2 I walked down the street. It looked like an interesting street. There’s a deep hole in the sidewalk. I pretend I don’t see it – denial. I fall in again. I can’t believe I’m in this same place.r
We all have a ‘dark side’ though most of us are afraid to admit to it. We prefer to think of ourselves of good people. That means that most of us are in, what is called by the experts, a state of denial. It is a state that the human race can no longer ignore, for we all can be murderers if we believe that is the only way forward; or we give in to, even for a instant, a simple angry emotional response. • So what is the ‘Dark Side’ really? • And what can we do about controlling it?
Trying to be positive when that’s not how you feel is kind of like being hungry with a plate of food in front of you, but allowing yourself only a few or no bites. And then there’s the guilt, right?
A client of mine, let’s call her Susan, called last week and was very excited! She was absolutely jubilant! I asked her what happened that she was so thrilled about. Her response was surprising at first. But, the Universe does work in miraculous ways. You'll see how as you read this story.nnWhat was her response to what she was so happy about!?!nn"My husband forgot my birthday!"nnAnd, yes, she was very happy about this event.nnI was taken aback for a moment for this was
During one of her shows a few years back, Oprah Winfrey made a profound and beautiful statement that I appreciated very much. She said, "We do shows about lots of 'stuff' and my 'favorite things,' but what people want more than anything else is to know that they're appreciated...that's the best gift of all."
You’ve completed the first draft of your novel. Now you’re supposed to follow that pesky rule that requires you do something called a revision—more than once. How can you make this easier?
The giant within waits for your summon for help. It will not awaken unless you allow it. If you choose to hold on the 'grasshopper mindset' you will not be able to experience the greatness of your giant. The 'grasshopper mindset' and the 'giant mindset' cannot both exist in the same space. One will dominate the other. While one is awaken the other sleeps. It's your choice to turn on the light of the giant within so the darkness of the 'grasshopper mindset' will dissipate. What situation are you dealing with right now?
I had the honor of both attending and speaking at the annual Wisdom 2.0 conference in San Francisco recently. The event was great, and one of the highlights for me was listening to an inspiring talk given by Arianna Huffington, founder of The Huffington Post. In her talk she asked us a powerful question, “Are you living your resume or your eulogy?”
Here is a partial line from a P.D. James novel: “. . . preserving always the same look of puzzled acceptance of a life which had to be endured rather than possessed.” Do you possess or endure your life (or any part of it) at this moment? Every day, each of us endures something, even if inconveniences of greater or lesser magnitude—considering some endure much more than most of us will ever have to think about or ever want to. If you find you face a challenge or situation you believe you can do nothing about, take possession of it, meaning take possession of how you relate to it.
Collaborative leadership, networking, team building and communication skills are all considered valuable and vital to business success in the evolving workplace. Typically, when a person decides that he or she wants to learn skill sets related to these areas, they proceed to learn techniques. While technique does matter, there’s much more to learning and applying skill sets than meets the eye – the physical eye, that is.
It had been raining Friday night and I woke up early on Saturday morning, hoping for more rain so I could wash my car. You see, I live in Melbou e, Victoria, a State in south eastern Australia where we have severe restrictions on water usage, so, I only wash my car when it is raining. I had a bucket, sponge, 'car soap' and umbrella at the ready. It had been quite a while since we had any rain and my car was extremely dirty and looked very neglected!
Anyone who has been through this will tell you just how incredibly helpless, useless and despairing one can feel. Depression numbs and throws into reverse the will to exist, it instantly takes you out of society and spills you deep into your lowest self, it brings your energy and capabilities to a shuddering halt, your self-image deteriorates and your self-worth vanishes. Depression to put it simply, is the nemesis of what being a human being is all about.
Self-Discovery & Exploration When is the last time you made time for self-reflection? When we take some time to ask those questions that allow us to explore and discover answers about where we are in our life and what things we would like to see changes in our life, this type of self-reflection can drive us to create an action plan that will help make our desires become a reality in our life. This may feel like work but it can feel like pleasure as well! Here are some questions to get you started: 1.How do you see yourself?

Covert Hypnosis can help you empower people to make your life better and make you have more control over your life. Many people are using covert hypnosis to make more money at their current job. The basic path to success: increase sales and reduce expenses in order to improve profitability. The goal is definitely one and the same, but how you reach each milestone may vary. I would like to share random thoughts on ways to open doors to profits. These items usually elude our attention during our every day running of the business.
By this time in January, statistics tells us the most people have already broken their New Year’s Resolution. Is it because they are all weak and not motivated, or maybe those resolutions are just not realistic and people haven’t plugged in a strategy they can use that will enable them to handle the stressors that often sabotage their best intentions? Best-laid plans can easily fail when stressors present themselves. Has this ever happened to you?
I've been giving a lot of thought to the various messages we've received over the years and generally highly regard. Many success and self-help experts have told us that we need to "Seize the Day". Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful summer with all our warm weather. Here is a question for all those people out there (you know who you are) who tend to go over that line between being in love and being addicted to love. Feel free to pass on this quiz to any of your friends who could use a little self-awareness as well. What is the difference between being in a healthy love relationship vs. being addicted to love?
There is no doubt about it. December is the time of year that is synonymous with giving. Whether it is family, friends, co-workers, charitable organizations, or the people who make our lives better, we all have our lists and are checking them twice! Most of us love to give â and when we do so, we feel good about ourselves, abundant, and alive. But what about receiving? Most people feel very uncomfortable about receiving! Whether it is a lavish gift, an act of kindness, gene
Your habits have been developed from early childhood as the result of things that you have chosen to do, or not to do. Your entire life is the result of your past choices and decisions. And like all of us, you probably have some bad habits that have held you back from your true potential. But ...
Having a neuroscience background and having owned and operated a surgical and medical practice for many years prepared me for the new next level expression of my life purpose – to restore vision. It’s obvious how an eye surgeon restores vision. Then there’s expanding the vision for one’s life – that’s where my gift is focused now. Helping people to be themselves ‘Magnificently’ by closing the gap between their own intellect and heart is the new visio I have. Each and every one of us is unique and can make our own unique impact – if we learn to get out of our own way.
A “hot mess” has many different meanings make sure you get over yours, it’s not as worst as it seems. If anyone knows me or has met me, knows I love talking to people anywhere. Intentional: Done with intention or on purpose; intended; of or pertaining to intention or purpose; pertaining to the capacity of the mind to refer to an existent or nonexistent object; pointing beyond itself, as consciousness or a sign. According to science and research, most of us live 95% to 97% of our lives on autopilot . . . we don't consciously think about many of the things we are doing each day. Some of you might be surprised by that number. Let's reflect on this for a moment. -You got up this morning.r

It doesn’t take much to increase your anxiety these days, especially if you’re already sensitive to it. Look at the news for a just a few minutes, and you can easily feel a mix of sadness, anger, pain, resignation and fear. When you see everything that’s happening in the world, you might wonder what you can do about it in your small corner of the world. It feels like so much is out of our control. Maybe you sometimes feel like whatever you do doesn’t matter since in the gra

Goals and desired outcomes seem to come in two flavors: the ones easier to achieve and the ones we struggle with. There’s a word you can apply to both that can shift the quality of your experiences and take some of the “charge” out of struggle. Goals and desired outcomes—personal and professional—are imbued with an aspect we are, hopefully, aware of but sometimes aren’t. That aspect is our Why—why we want or feel motivated or inspired about what we say we desire to experience.
If you’ve heard this advice for new writers before, it bears repeating: Read novels by other authors, especially, but not solely, in your genre. This is beneficial, but there’s something else you could or should do while you read, to help you improve your writing vocabulary.
I've often affirmed, "Let go and flow." Flow generates inspiration and births the A-HA moments of your clarity and vision.
Do your days feel ordinary? Do you feel there are too few blessings in your life? Maybe you’d like to shift this.
As we were rushing around to get out the door for our 4th of July weekend trip to the lake, I misplaced my iPhone and was forced to leave without it...for 4 days! What at first seemed like a curse, ended up being a blessing! After the initial panic wore off, I actually felt free and liberated...and had lots of fun with Michelle, the girls, and our friends on the trip (probably more fun tha I would have had if my phone was with me).

The world has witnessed a booming rise of the writersâ community. There was a time when written content was either regarded as irrelevant or didnât capture the attention of most people. I was recently invited to be a speaker for an upcoming online telesummit called The Power of Purpose. While I’m honored to be a part of this program, the invitation had me pause and reflect a bit about my own life and work, and specifically ask myself the question, “Am I living on purpose?” My initial answer was, “Yes, of course I am.” However, as I thought about it more deeply, I could see that there are many aspects of my life and my work that aren’t “on purpose” at all.

What CEO's DON'T Want You to Know......... Their biggest fear! The answer may shock you. The number one reason: Getting found out that they aren't as competent as they'd like you to think; that their employees might find out they were flawed. In other words, THEY ARE NOT ENOUGH. * Does this sound true for you? * Do you fear that someone might pull your covers and find out you aren't all that? * Do you see how it's prevented you from opportunities in your life?
