This title is a line of dialogue from a movie I recently watched. I shared it with a friend who emailed back, “What does THAT mean?” I suppose it could mean we wish the opposite of what we’re afraid of were true instead. If we fear instability in some area of our lives, perhaps we wish ...

Self-motivation flows from the importance we attach to today. I am reading this amazing book called, “100 Ways to Motivate Yourself” by Steven Chandler and each chapter is a HUGE nugget of thought provoking, spirit lifting, energizing inspiration. This morning I randomly open the book to this entry, “Make today a masterpiece.” Chandler says that most of us live our lives hypnotized, thinking that we have all the time in the world to do what we want. When we live this way we end up sleepwalking past life’s finest opportunities.
What is it about celebrity that often results in a pattern of self-sabotage and public humiliation? What drives the crash and burn of those who seemingly have everything going for them? Celebrities have success, fame and the financial resources to live a rich delicious life. Why, then, are so many famous people unhappy, addicted to drugs or on a downward spiral spinning out of control as they destroy everything they desire and worked so hard to achieve?
Long before I became The Man Inspiring Millions, an international author of several books, a sought after inspirational speaker, the authority in the field of Mind Nutrition and a sought after brand, I came to a realisation. Every winning individual and every winning team has had to come to this realisation in order for them to achieve and surpass the goals and dreams that they set out to do. After all, the majority of people have goals and dreams. Many want to go places, achieve certain milestones and contribute significantly to the world they live in but sadly, many never start.
In today's fast paced hustle and bustle world you may become overwhelmed by everything that needs to get accomplished in a day, especially during a busy holiday season. A feeling of overwhelm will set in where you just can't decide what to do or how to do it to achieve your personal and professional goals. You're stuck in the paralysis of analysis and don't know what steps to take to get unstuck. Or you'd just really like to get more focused on what will get you the greatest return on your time investment. If these scenarios sound familiar you are not alone.
Have you ever noticed a child on a playground fall down and skin their knee? Often times they will look up stunned, searching the scene for their parent or caretaker and only when their parent is within sight does the child begins to cry. A good parent will scoop up the child in their arms, allow them to cry, begin to soothe the child’s emotional fear by talking to the child, reframing their fear and then instill a belief that everything will be ok. The parent is a container for their child’s emotion.
Would you like to know the secret to becoming a money magnet? A "money magnet" is my term for someone who just attracts money and opportunity easily and effortlessly. Yes, this type of person exists. No matter where they go or what they do, they seem to have this mystical ability to pull cash ...
Going through a major life change (transition) is tough. Sometimes the transition is of your choosing (quitting your job to start your own business, having a baby, moving to a new home), and other times it's not (the death of a loved one, getting laid off, divorce). Whether you choose the ...
In a recent sessio I had with my new counselor Eleanor, she said to me, "Mike, it sounds like embracing powerlessness is something that would benefit you right now." When she said this, a chill went down my spine and my body tightened up. "What do you mean, 'embrace powerlessness'?'" I asked. "Why would I want to do that?"

Before you continue, if you think this article is about religion, asking Jesus into your heart, or finding salvation, it is not. Religion and Spirituality come from different perspectives. Religion, I believe, while concentrating on the Deity of God also concentrates on denominations, rules, laws and rituals. When I speak of spiritual things, I encompass God, the Christ consciousness and other ascended masters, arc angels, guardian angels and the belief that all roads lead to God in love and in light. I believe spirituality allows you to seek your own truth.
The beautiful thing about success is that there are many ways to achieve it. Some people make their success look easy, while others make success look difficult to achieve. Let me tell you that it wasn’t the success that came easy for those people, it was their persistent effort towards achieving their success that made it look easy for them. Success is never easy to achieve because if it was easy, then everyone would be successful.

Creative Spark Within: I have often heard adults wistfully express that they are not creative, although they wish they were. My belief and response to their lament is that every one of us has a creative spark within, which can be ignited and fueled. How can we encourage children to believe in ...
What’s the one thing that would make 2011 your best year ever? More money? A better job? Losing 20 pounds? As great as those might be, there’s something else that I guarantee will create a magical year: unconditional love. It’s the one thing that changes everything.
Finding your life’s work! What am I all about? Throughout our lives we are all looking for what line of work will make us happy? I don’t know about you but I tried depression and I didn’t like it as much as I loved feeling good. I learned first hand how quick a depression could suck the life out of anyone, even me. The shocking thing was the darkest days of my life came when I was at the pinnacle of my life. I was the best Orlando Magic fan that I could possibly be since 1989. Over the years I got to know several players from Shaq down to Hedo Turkoglu which only made me love the Magic even more. Watching the Magic play with Cristina was one of my favorite things to do.
Most successful people can be characterized as having very high levels of energy. Since energy is the fuel with which everything is achieved, there seems to be a direct relationship between energy levels and levels of accomplishment. It is hard to imagine a tired, burned-out person achieving ...
Where are you in the pecking order of your life? Are you above or below the "measuring up to" rung you hoped to be on at this moment in time? Where are you in the heirarchy through which you define your life achievement; your sense of self-worth and accomplishment?
There are two types of change to be aware of—the type you desire and the type you don’t. Do you feel you manage yourself well enough through these? Do You Want Your Life to Be Different? If you desire change in some area of your life, the first thing that must change is whatever in you prevents or delays your desired outcome. Inevitably, your desired outcome is to feel the way you wish to feel about whatever it is that has your attention. What are some ways you prevent or delay desired change?
Here we go again! Summer is here and we need a vacation! Or do we? Do we really need it, or do we just want it? And who says so, anyway? These questions are worth an inquiry, wouldn’t you say? By all means, find yourself before stepping one foot outside the door. What do I mean? I mean you can save yourself, save your friends, and save your family, too from getting hopelessly lost before you even leave home IF you first take time to sort out what you’re wanting on your trip.

Is there really one question or method that can help you answer each or all three of these questions? Let’s find out. First, a few thoughts about each . . . Life Purpose
Every winning individual, team, organisation and athlete use their vision to attain their end reward. A winning mind knows that the road less travelled is filled with challenges. This is where Vision comes in. Unlike most people who are put off by challenges, A Winning Mind focuses on the end reward even if it's no where to be seen in that moment. Vision is the ability to see into the future before the majority do. Vision is your GPS that will take you through to your destination no matter how dark the roads will be along the way. Vision is more than just day dreaming.
I have been writing about adrenal fatigue and its considerable devastating affects on health for some years now, but I continue to research the topic and am continually amazed at the findings I discover conce ing this illness. It is indeed a complex issue that few medical doctors address, yet I also have discovered that many holistic doctors do not fully understand this health imbalance, therefore rendering them incapable of truly helping the suffering individual.
People look at you and think you’ve got it all together. You have a life that many envy, a career, relationship and the freedom to live an enjoyable life – or at least two out of the three. On the outside you’ve put on a great show. On the inside, not so much.

Years ago, there was an anachronism coined, DINKS. It stood for married couples that had Duel Income, No Kids. As the result of my search on the Internet came up with little related to the term, other than finance-related websites, I assume the term has gone mostly out of style. Much of the reason may be because many couples in the US are opting to remain unmarried and so their incomes aren’t considered to be combined. Regardless, there are some couples where both work and have no children, whether that’s for the long-term, or for a (usually) preplanned length of time.
It is when you assume you know, or you assume you know where to look, that disappointment will have the sharpest sting. How many times have you read an article or been on a landing page that suggests they have the missing piece of the puzzle only to find out they are just selling the what? Most of us already know the what, it is the how that is hidden from us and is difficult to dissect. How do you accomplish manifesting your dreams and desires? How do you keep yourself on a
One of my earlier mentors in personal development taught me that the word “responsible” carries the meaning of two words “response” and “able”. In other words, responsibility is your ability to respond. Then, I heard a quote from my single biggest influence on personal development, the legendary Bob Proctor, who said “No one wins the blame game”. So, I wish to share with you the difference between responsibility and blame. Blame is basically shifting the reason for something going wrong, to someone else. I remember reading somewhere that blame means “To be lame”.

Raison D'Etre is French for reason, or purpose, for the existence of someone or something. Each and every person comes into this world with a purpose, unique talents to achieve that purpose and the inner wisdom to guide them along the way. This is a birthright. Without exception. Since everyone walking this Earth exists, you would think that everyone knew his or her purpose in life.

Recently someone said to me, "Mike, I read the best book of my life a few years ago. It only had four words in it, 'want what you have'." As simple of a concept as this is, I was struck by its wisdom and began to think about it in my own life. Sadly, as I thought about it more deeply, I realized that I put more of my attention and energy tha I'd like to admit on either wanting things I don't yet have or thinking that some of what I have isn't quite good enough the way it is. Can you relate?

“Somebody once said that in looking for people to hire, you look for three qualities: integrity, intelligence and energy. And if you don’t have the first, the other two will kill you. You think about it; it’s true. If you hire somebody without [integrity], you really want them to be dumb and lazy,” according to Warren Buffett, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway. Integrity is defined as soundness of moral principle and character; ethical, uprightness, honor and honesty – strong convict
Did you know that the average person thinks 60,000 - 80,000 thoughts per day? How do you think these negative thoughts impact your life? Negative self-talk affects your self-esteem, self-confidence, and beliefs about success and relationships. Apologizing can be a bit tricky for me. While I pride myself on being someone who is able to look within, take responsibility, and resolve conflicts directly - I also know that my own arrogance and insecurity cause me to sometimes stubbornly refuse to apologize or, often more damaging, over apologize, which can include apologizing for who I am.
This is the third article in the series. We have decided that we are coping with a loss this holiday season and decided if we wanted to talk about it or not. Now, we are getting into the preparation of the holiday. To prepare, we can use visualization to help us get ready for the actual holiday and gatherings. It's a funny thing. Actors are driven to perform, to take on roles that bring a world of imagination, fantasy and mirrored life reflections into believable existence. In order to achieve the performance of a character well told, the actor has to commit to the unknown, get out of their own way, and be in the present moment. This power of presence and authentic self-assurance in the role create the charisma that draws us to actors and the stories they tell.
