What inspired you to write your motivational books? I want to make a positive difference in the lives of people by unlocking their true potential. My vision is to inspire people to attain a winning mind. Over the years I always pondered what separated the successful lucky few from the masses? I wanted to know what separated winners from losers. When the majority attributed it to luck and being at the right place at the right time, I knew there was more to it. I was hungry to know the answers and would not back down in my search.
When is enough enough? Is your ‘truth-telling’ getting you in trouble? What happens when you first meet someone? Do you get diarrhea of the mouth? Do you clam up not saying a word? There’s a fine balance between truthfully representing your personality and making a good first impression. You need to choose your words carefully and give the right ‘spin’ – yes, spin. This is where you begin to shape the perception others will have of you.
You may have learned the same skills as your peers when you trained, but what is unique about you? What do you do or offer (or would like to) that’s different? Mike Litman said, “Your prosperity is hidden in the problem you were born to solve.” It’s not only about what is unique about you, but what you’d like to be unique about you.
BEING Vs. DOING As part of the book “Conspiracy for Greatness” by Behnam Bakhshandeh We all are experts in DOING. By the way, just DOING is not enough for us; we have to DO IT GOOD, or DO IT RIGHT! Take a look around, you are either good at what you DO or you go to school to become good at what you are going to DO, or know someone who is very good at what they DO, or what you need them to be good at! Or you hire someone who is good at what you want them to DO! It is all about DOING, and we have to DO it right!
Overcoming Fear of Rejectionr The fear of rejection is one of the most deep-seated terrors for many of us. Every person on this planet can recall a time where he or she felt unappreciated, misunderstood, challenged, or just outright rejected. This feeling is so awful that we begin to avoid any situation that might lead to rejection. However, avoidance behavior does not bring happiness. As the saying goes, “Nothing ventured, Nothing gained.” Here are some ways you can overcome your fears…r
Men are expected to put themselves at risk. It's part of performing masculinity â the stuff everybody does every day to act like their gender "should." For guys, this means leaping into danger. Because that's considered "manly," and being manly is what you dad taught you to be. It means acting like you don't care about your own health and safety. After all, valuing something as ordinary as safety is viewed as something a weakness in men â a real man ought to be able to re
I often ask successful people what was the best piece of advice they ever got from a parent. What words of wisdom carried them forward as they achieved their personal and professional goals? Responses such as "Don't take anything for granted", "You have to work hard and struggle for success" and "It takes money to make money" are among the most common. I posed this same question to Wendy, a woman I met at a luncheon not long ago. Her quick response was "Grow up. Move out." That was her Dad's mantra to her ever since she was a very young child.

Personal power makes a woman influential. Her personal power is what is left when other powers (money, position, relational) are lost to her. Women are learning the value of their personal power. For years, they have invested in the belief of being powerless. Competing desires, thoughts, and feelings interfered with accessing their power. Many times these competing desires included the desire to please or do for others.
Change…difficult or at least a little scary at any age but for the midlife woman this time in our lives can be very unsettling. The truth is by the time we reach this part of our lives we have become so accustomed to living for other people’s benefit that it can be downright disquieting when many of those obligations disappear. Suddenly we realize a large part of who we thought we were is gone. Loss of Identity

How flexible are you? For me, it depends - on my mood, how much fear or resistance I have about something, how attached I am to a particular outcome, and various other factors. However, as I look throughout my life (now and in the past), I realize that the situations, relationships, and experiences that cause me the greatest stress and frustration, are almost always the places where I'm not being flexible.
Everyone has distracted moments, we lose our keys, forget our list when we go shopping or are late for an appointment from time to time. These things happen to most of us and are considered quite normal, if annoying. However, when there is a disability involved such as ADD or ADHD, that’s when things become much more serious. The feelings attached to ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) or ADHD (Attention deficit hyperactive disorder) include confusion, frustration, and sadness when you can’t move from intention to action.
A few weeks ago while I was on a run, the saying "keep your head in the clouds and your feet on the ground" popped into my head. I'm not sure why I thought of this, but once I did I couldn't get it out of my mind.
The problem of bullying is huge and is now coming under the severe scrutiny of society. People often tend to think about the young child bully when one brings up the subject of the bully. People may conjure up the image of a big, mean, strong boy who threatens and taunts another smaller socially inept boy perhaps trying to get some money off of him during recess. This picture is quite the stereotype as for today the bully takes on many characteristics and scenarios. Not only
Some years ago I walked out to my automobile with the estimate to get it fixed in hand and said aloud in a rather disappointed and somewhat angry tone “not again?” Meaning “why are you, car, doing this to me”? How often have you witnessed yourself or others speaking nay ...

People often associate self-worth to worldly attachments and achievements. During your life, you are always trying to get something, be it education, job, money, or other material pleasures. You feel these things represent your value. The stuff (or lack of stuff) is evidence of how successful or unsuccessful you have been in your life. When you were little you wrote in your “Rule book for life” that more and better stuff meant that you were “more better”. Time for a New Rule: “I am not my stuff.”
When we say that we are standing up to fight for gender equality, it is sure that we are called to a rebirth of our African communities.nnWe are asked to reconstruct our traditional social systems which were formed along traditional and gender lines, and to intervene the leisured life of a traditional man whose âREMARKABLE?society should be defeated by modern women ideals that are varied assortments of incompatible elements of information technology, diplomacy, modern evils

SEVEN REASONS TO LEARN TO MEDITATE Learning to meditate changed my life. I was a nervous, stressed-out middle manager in a Fortune 500 company who didn’t know how to relax, let alone get in touch with my inner self. I had no time to think about my inner self, I was too busy worrying about how my outer self was performing. The pressure I was under was tremendous. I had been brought in from the outside to start a new program of an inside sales group—we were going to sell product to smaller accounts over the phone.

One of the phrases that helped define the 1990s is "As if!" Immortalized by actor Alicia Silverstone's character, Cher Horowitz, in the movie "Clueless", the term connotes a derisive assertion that whatever is being talked about is impossible or very unlikely. It is another way of saying: "As if that were remotely possible?" "Doesn't she wish!" "Yeah, right!" "Not!"

How often to you feel like a victim? If you're anything like me, probably more often than you'd like to admit. Although I usually pretend to be too "evolved" to play the role of victim in my life, I do catch myself at times feeling, thinking, and talking in that old, familiar, "oh poor me" kind of way. Can you relate? I remember one of my mentors telling me years ago, "Mike, you can't simultaneously be grateful and victimized."
Mark Twain said, “The worst loneliness is not to be comfortable with yourself.” Whatever you pursue in your outer life will never fill the inner void created by feeling inauthentic; you have to fill it yourself, and first.
People fall into the trap of being people pleasers because they think they will gain the approval of others and as long as they get the approval of others they feel good about themselves. But to an orphan in the slums of Kolkata (formerly known as Calcutta) it means the difference between a desperate future and one of promise and possibility, as 25 dollars is what it costs to feed and educate a child for an entire month at the Free School of Kolkata. The other day a friend asked me how I help people. I told her, very simply, that I teach people how to crack their world open to reveal thrilling new possibilities and opportunities that they couldn't see before. She laughed and said I encourage people to become Crack Addicts. HA! In that context, I do. In fact, it's now replaced Starbucks lattes as my preferred drug of choice.

Sometimes when we are working toward a particular end result, things may not move as quickly as we would like then to move. Also, life can throw in some real curve balls that frustrate us or thwart our intentions. What can we do at times like that? Comparing yourself and your progress, to that of another person, is a trap. Your journey is meant to be your own unique journey and the lessons you learn along the way are being presented to you for a particular purpose. Very often, when making comparisons we are not looking at a true picture.
Everywhere you look; in magazines, newspapers, online and televised articles and bios of people who face challenges are examples of people who have moved beyond their challenges to create extraordinary lives. There are also plenty of examples of those who have literally and figuratively destroyed everything they have achieved.
