My husband is rarely effected by mood swings. It’s the most incredible thing to behold! He is honestly the most balanced, joyful, and happiest person I have ever met. Sure, he can get upset, angry, or disillusioned just like the rest of us, but overall his mood is light-filled and loving. ...

The other night I was at 5 rhythms dance (a dance that is fun and also therapeutic and healing) - and at the end of the session, someone started to talk to me about her experience of being round me in the dance (nothing frightening! - only positive.) I was really pleased she had spoken to me, as I had been struggling with feeling low emotionally and physically. So, I told her that, including that I had bee "ill" - and she immediately said - "oh! Isn't it interesting with illness that you always feel a different person at the end of it?"

Energy doesn't communicate in human tongues, but it does speak clearly. It speaks through the metaphors of our lived experiences, the hurricanes and earthquakes of nature, the expressions of the body’s symptoms, or the whispered message of a randomly chosen passage in a book.
Notes to Myself Have you ever woken up really early in the morning before anyone is up? You wake refreshed but somewhat groggy and disoriented. Perhaps you make a pot of coffee and sit in your favorite place enjoying the morning sounds and sights. In the background is the sound of birds and crickets chirping, and frogs croaking. You watch as the sun begins to rise and the light shifts and changes around you. There are no telephones ringing, people requiring your attention or things yet to do.
Imagine the set of the game show Family Feud. Two people head to head guessing at the number one answer on the survey to this question: “What wakes you or keeps you up at night?” An informal survey sent this exact question to a section of friends, colleagues and clients; the number one answer surprised me. My guess for the number one answer - worry about family. It was certainly right up in the top three but was not the number one slot.
Do you feel easily overwhelmed or over-stimulated when there is a lot going on around you? Are you easily affected by the moods and emotions of others and seem to pick up their energy? Has your enthusiasm you once had for life and work waned into exhaustion and disillusionment? If you can relate to these feelings, you may be experiencing “compassion fatigue.” Those most vulnerable to compassion fatigue are front-line workers and those who work intimately or “hands on” with others. When you help people, you have direct contact with their lives.
1. Find a quiet place as free of distractions as possible, no telephones, no computers or TV - in nature is preferable. 2. Sit or stand comfortably in a relaxed manner, then close your eyes. With standing your energy is highest, sitting it is lower and lying is lowest. Lying is often not ...
Ever hunt for treasure when you where a child? Remember the thrill of the hunt, anticipation of the prize and the exhilaration when you found the treasure. The treasure might not have been anything more than a shiny rock or small toy. The size of the prize did not matter--it was the value that we cherished.
1) Notice your speech patterns and change them when necessary. Do you ever say things like, "I'm not good enough," "I can't afford it," "I'm so fat," "There are no good men/women out there for me," etc. All of these are examples of very limited thinking. When you hear that negative self-talk creeping into your thoughts, acknowledge it briefly, then let it go by replacing it with a new positive affirmation.
Spend a few minutes preparing your body through heart-opening stretching and breathing exercises to center yourself. Then, sitting comfortably, observe the inflow and outflowrnof your breath for a little while to quiet your mind. With awareness in your heart, ask yourself this important question:rn rnWhat experiences from my past continue to create anguish for me in the present? As one episode moves into consciousness, earlier pain-ridden experiences often follow the path fro
I was about 2 or 3 when it happened. I know because I remember the house where it happened and that house was sold by the time I was 4. I remember how the room was to the right and towards the back of the house when you walked in the front door. I remember it was the master bedroom down at the ...
I am sure that everyone has heard by now about the sweat lodge tragedy in Sedona which took three lives during a James Ray retreat. It is a horrible incident which has brought much attention to the New Age, Self Help movement. The current energies are bringing much that has been hidden into the Light. We are seeing this in our government, financial system, religion, health and other areas. All areas which are not aligned with the higher vibrations are being brought into the Light. James Ray is one of my favorite motivational author’s.
I learned to meditate about 17 years ago, and nowadays meditate 4 or 5 times a week, as well as going on intensive meditation retreats from time to time. For me, it's an essential part of a busy life - a chance for time to be with myself, to see what's really going on in my body and my mind when all the outside "busyness" stops, and a chance to just be quiet. How does that relate to healing? Well, you often read that people who meditate have longer attention spans, are better able to deal with stress, and look younger!
Over the years in working with people as a healer in energy medicine, I’ve noticed a number of interesting attitudes people have on why illness occurs, from a spiritual and metaphysical standpoint. I've collected them here to share with you. It's a fascinating study of people and spirituality if it weren’t also so serious in its impact on peoples’ ability to heal. Peoples’ beliefs on illness vary widely, often lurking subconsciously. What I find interesting is the context behind these attitudes. It's as if things have gotten a bit distorted from the meaning of the initial idea.
A few weeks ago, when I was in Manchester for healing sessions, two of my clients and one of my colleagues talked about being drawn to wear a different type of clothes. This is an experience I've had at different times in my life, including when I was recovering from ME / CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome) - and now seems a good time to talk about it.
Deep within the psyche of humankind is the capacity, ability and drive to persevere. Although developed and genetically stored as a survival tool, it has become a spiritual ascension tool. In the spiritual evolution of man, survival often meant you had to keep your beliefs under wraps. Truth cost lives, trials, torture, death and even wars. It wasn’t safe to believe in God; specifically your own version of God. And, it wasn’t allowed socially- so at the very least, you could be shamed, ostracized and shunned from your family and community.
Having self-doubt is an all too common occurrence for many people. It can rob us of a joyful, meaningful life, and keep our best gifts locked up inside. If your self-doubt and fear stops you from living the great life you dream about, here are eight techniques and processes that can help you ...

When I was talking of seeing spiritual energy, this is nothing to be conce ed about, as it is well known that the human body has an energy field surrounding it, called the Aura. It is this Aura – or light body – that underlies your physical body and, in religious-mystical terms, may be ...
The purple haze of the evening hours washes through the valley as an observer stands on a hill top. She watches the hustle and bustle of the village below. The residents come and go as they please. She notices the negative reckless traveler causing chaos in the flow of the pattern in the community. And delights in watching the positive unhurried explorers enjoy the beauty of the parks, people and possibilities of the village.
Super Mantra Gayatri and Yajnas are like an inseparable couple. One is the mother of Indian culture and the other is the father of Indian spirituality. Both are mutually dependent on one another. Without executing a Yajna at the end of a Gayatri Mantra chanting program (Anushthaan) the latter remains incomplete. One portion of Japa or Mantra chanting is in the form of Havan or fire sacrifice. In ancient times when people were materially well off a tenth portion of Mantra chan
Tuning In and Crystal Placement This is a powerful system to work with to develop your sensitivity towards crystals and energy. It can be very powerful to work with and as your abilities develop, so does your skill in this method of healing. To do this work, you need to have gathered a reasonable assortment of crystals and quartz points. Once you are working this way, you will continue to gather more crystals and stones of various types, shapes and sizes. Have the person lying on the table, place a white sheet over them.
Namah shivay! The powerhouse of healing wisdom Holy Siddhas say that every disease is psychosomatic, caused by an interplay of negative deeds, negative emotions, negative energy and negative vibrations. The modern cure of diseases, however, revolves around three aspects, namely Doctor, Patient and Medicine. The doctor is focused only on the physical body, when actually there are four other bodies and so many more factors at play when a disease surfaces. The patient, for his p
“Hello! I just need some advice please! I try to eat healthy and work out on a regualr basis, but I constantly eat when I am bored, even though I am not hungry. I get bored and keep wandering into the kitchen and grabbing all kinds of snacks. How do I stop this habit?” While there are many ...
88% of our brain activity is controlled by our subconscious mind, though we use only 12% for conscious thought. The conscious mind is compared to a word-processor. It is day to day decision maker. An unique quality of the conscious mind is its ability to determine what is right and what is wrong, something that subconscious doesn't do. The subconscious mind is like the computer's hard drive. It contains all of our memories, beliefs, habits, self images, personality. It controls autonomic bodily functions. The subconscious mind is in charge of memories and feelings.r
Before breaking my neck and becoming a quadriplegic in the Summer of 1995, I used to be a very active and independent person. At the age of 12, I proudly announced to my parents that I had gotten a job as a babysitter. At the time of my accident, I was a dental assistant. I had landed my dream ...
Once you have stated your intentions clearly and positively, in the present with great enthusiasm, here are a few more tips to cement the intention process so you can create much better results more quickly and easily. Conscious Language I don’t know about you, but I was uncomfortable repeating phrases like “I am a millionaire’ when I had only $97 in my account. Somewhere the gross unreality of it was dissonant and made me feel like a liar.
Dear Mary, I have to say that I am in gratitude each and every day for the life that I am living, it truly is wonderful! However, like most people, I truly desire more financial abundance in my life in order to travel and to have my own cabin in the mountains. Do you see that coming for me ...
I was asked to give distant healing to a person in another country. My experience of connecting with his energies was very vivid, so I thought I would describe the feelings and emotions for you to understand the process. Following a conference call with a colleague I was asked to give distant ...
I knew I was dying. It had been five days since I had eaten, and in that time, I'd only been able to marginally keep the tiniest licks of water down. Fasting wasn't a problem. No water, however, was. It was mid-August, 1984. A week before, as a representative for the Kauai yachting association ...

Public speaking is often cited as people's number one fear. And I know it was like this for me - I remember as an accountant dreading giving presentations and talks. Then, as I wanted to share things that were closer to my heart, such as my spiritual practice, I realised I needed to get over this fear, and it was at that point that I did a day's course on Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) for Public Speaking.
This is the third of three articles that looks at the process of receiving an ME diagnosis, coming to terms with it and now in the final post what I call “transcending” the ME diagnosis. I have written about how initially receiving the diagnosis can be helpful and affirming (see Healing from ME: ME Diagnosis), and how we can then go through a time of “battling” the diagnosis or feeling resigned to it before coming to acceptance of our situation (see coming to acceptance of an ME diagnosis.)
In order to overcome deadly diseases like cancer etc the sunâs rays of various hues are utilized for healing purposes. Diseases related to digestion, skin and muscles are cured via solar healing. There are many incidences wherein deadly TB too has been cured in this manner. Dr Reliyar prefers sun bathing methods to operations for overcoming bodily distortions. Dr Finsin too has cured many patients utilizing solar healing therapies. He opines that for all round progress of c
I have often thought back to those early years in childhood and reflected on the wisdom from within. There was a sense of wonder at life, a sense of stillness and yet barely contained excitement. Beyond even that, there was a deep sense of knowing and yet an openness to the potentials this new world had to offer.
Question: Over the weekend I heard someone talking about 2012. On the one hand he was very inspiring but on the other hand it was rather doomish and gloomish and it really threw me off for a bit so I wondered if Divine Mother would give her take on 2012.
As an animal intuitive/energy healer I have helped many dogs overcome separation anxiety–that panicky feeling some dogs get when they are left alone. It is emotionally and behaviorally based, and often resolves quickly with energy healing and animal communication techniques.
I am writing energetic patternings that are common with ME. This material is based on a mixture of my own experience of living with and recovering from ME and seeing clients with this condition.
The last ten years have brought a dramatic shift in thinking. We are realizing our bodies do not have to get sick, life does not have to be a struggle and relationships do not have to be painful. With this realization comes the question, “How do we change what we don’t like about our ...
At our breakfast during a coaching Retreat in Tucson, we were asked to meet someone new and ask them what is your breakthrough you are wanting from the retreat? By the end of the day, I met several women who were wanting the breakthrough of Clarity.
With the Fourth of July festivities approaching, many animal owners are very conce ed for their companions, especially dogs who can be terrified of the loud noises of fireworks and thunderstorms. Commonly seen signs of noise phobias include: • Shaking, trembling • Excessive drooling • Barking, howling • Trying to hide or get into / out of the house, fence, or other enclosure • Refusing to eat food • Some animals may lose bladder or bowel control or experience temporary diarrhea from prolonged stress Aside from keeping them indoors, closing curtains, and playing soft music,
“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” Albert Einstein This quote is so simple yet so powerful for it’s absolutely true: Happiness and seeing the magic in even the smallest of things is a state of mind, and everyone has the power to switch their own “Magic Button” on at any time they want.
("Seeing God through the Eye of the Needle"...) On this day, of all days -- commemorative of when Moses went up the mountain to receive the Ten Commandments from God. On this, the time when we honor our connection to our spirituality -- this is a good day to talk about Chinese medicine and the Spirit. There is a story about this biblical tale...a story which begins that God visited all of the Israelites and that his presence was so beautiful, so lovely, so overwhelming, tha

EFT–More Than a Band-Aid By Syandra Ingram As a school counselor, the sobering statistics of suicide, obesity, child abuse, drug abuse, teen pregnancy, and juvenile crime are disheartening. I saw children with so much loss, trauma and anxiety that it often felt like I was putting band-aids on ...
Looking at the Sunday obituary page recently, I noticed how many people near my age are passing away. A wave of dread flowed through me and I thought: What if I only have a few years left? I’ve always wanted to be a Centenarian. And,I’ve always thought that saying out loud that I want to live a long and healthy life to 100 or beyond would help make it come true. But, what if I don’t make it? What if I only have a short time left on the planet? What would I regret? My answer came quickly and without any hesitation. I would regret living in fear.
We can feel "VERY SPIRITUAL" when things are going easy and well. The real mastery of internal joy is when wellness/ peace/ joy is apparent even in difficult situations. Life has its cycles and definite ups and downs, but the master holds to the internal truths of love and the higher vibrations of human emotions, and is not taken on the roller coaster of emotions from exterior circumstances.
Monster in the Closet You knew it all along … even thought your parents denied it, you could never find it, but somehow deep inside all along you knew it was the truth. There is a monster in your bedroom closet.
