Recently I watched a somewhat cheesy movie, Rockstar, where Mark Wahlburg plays an obsessed cover band singer who is impersonating a popular 80’s heavy metal band. Chris, the main character, takes his role so seriously that he learns everything he can about the lead singer – and completely imitates every facet of the guy’s life from his hair to his leather pants to how he sings.

Like a lot of graduate students, my status was what was commonly referred to as “A-B-D,” meaning I’d completed “all but the dissertation.” I was sitting in class one day when another student rose to present the findings of a study conducted by psychology professor Pauline Clance and psychologist Suzanne Imes called The Impostor Phenomenon Among High Achieving Women (1978).

I get tired of knee jerk responses from people who are not willing to question their beliefs. Yesterday, I doubted myself… It was pyjama day so I allowed myself to indulge in it and guess what?! I regretted it. I ALWAYS regret it and yet, I never seem to learn. I allowed the doubts a voice in my head for about 4 hours and then I realised that I was getting absolutely nowhere AS USUAL and I chose to believe again. As said so often, the business owner needs a niche. In today’s competitive world, everyone needs to understand what business they are in.
Just the other day I was on a call with some of my Evolutionary PLUS clients.
