Sitting in a coffee shop last week with a friend we watched as an elderly lady shuffled in. She looked disoriented and slowly glanced over the group of people sitting at the tables. We caught her eye and she unsteadily made her way towards us. “Are you OK?” we asked. “I’m looking for St John of God hospital,” she replied. Together we gave her directions and watched as she absorbed them and made her way back to her car. We continued to watch her unsure of what to do to help her further.

During this holiday season, I invite you to extend yourself to family and friends who may be experiencing more stress than usual, by offering a helping hand or listening ear. This time of year commonly brings more stress than other times of the year, and this year especially many are experiencing more stress than usual. How can you help? First by taking good care of yourself and second by offering the greatest gift that you have, which is your undivided attention when you are spending time with someone.
People often ask, “How do I get rid of my fears?” It is either that or something similar to that. Fortunately, the answer is very simple. Once you get into the answer, everything becomes very simple, and fear lets go just like that! Let us have a look now… We will start by looking at these four things and their opposites. Love comes from within. The opposite of love is no love. Often, people have said that the opposite of love is fear, and in an abstract way that is correct
When our thoughts run along the habitual grooves driven by self-importance and self-interest, life gradually loses its intrinsic grandeur. Mediocrity, boredom and loneliness take over. Can we do something to step out of this rut?
Do you like to people watch? Have you ever looked up and saw a bird flying through the air and wondered what the view was like from up there? If you could see what would you observe? What is it about people that you like to watch?

On 9 – 11, I was experiencing my own 911. For years, I had attempted to push down my fears, traumas, grief, anger and resentments, only to find that my life was getting to be more painful to live. It was becoming harder to deny the deep feelings of emptiness and bitte ess that I was experiencing. On the outside, folks saw me as being confident, happy and well adjusted; little did they know that I was quietly dying inside. It’s interesting, how we think we know who each of us are. We can put on a mask or masks and pretend to the world that all is well.
At the dawn of a Golden Era every great thinker of the world yearns that it passes the test of great ideals. People should imbibe greatness and must mature to such an extent that its glory influences one and all. Further it should be followed by all that the worldâs atmosphere becomes heavenly and divine. Now the question of return of Satyuga remains and when its time arrives we must see how it begins and progresses. On the basis of Shrutis and Smriti texts of pre historica
As we shift into a whole new way of being, many of us are being called to look deep within and uncover the hidden treasures of insight, wisdom, and inner knowing that have been slumbering within us. Now is the awakening of our full potential as we release and surrender to situations that are at times creating havoc within our personal lives. These clever situations come in the form of losing a job, a life threatening illness, or the loss of a relationship.
Most people are familiar with inner peace and would claim they are actively seeking it along with a sense of genuine fulfillment. The question becomes whether we’re looking in the right places? Often, we look to exte al situations and circumstances for inner peace. For example, many of us believe that we can obtain inner peace by sitting on a quiet beach in paradise or by going to our favorite yoga class. We may even believe we have to wait until the children are in bed before we can experience inner peace.
We have tremendous potentialities in our intuitive region. They generally remain untapped. The Radial Dive helps us bring them into our everyday life. Expansive awareness augments our mental composure and wisdom. The effects of Radial Dive are briefly explored in this article.
Oh – and company. In fact, I already do this – and even more than one mile. I belong to a Saturday morning walking group that meets early in the morning before the heat (in summer) and the rain (in winter) sets in. We actually walk 5 miles before we’re ‘allowed’ to have coffee – arguably the actual reason we dutifully walk each week. Our regular coffee place easily has the best coffee in Perth. The queues out the door and the expanding premises will attest to this fact.
Why is it that we wait for pain to invade our lives before we decide to make the changes we so desperately know we need to make? This has proven to be true in all areas of our lives for years. For example take the environment, we don’t give it any thought until it is hurting our pocket book, and then we decide we need to do something about the damage we are causing. If only we had given it the respect it had deserved all along we would not be were we are, we would not be paying the price for our mistakes.

Happiness......it’s a choice How many of us know a person a that is always down in the dumps, always complaining, and nothing ever seems to go right for them? Perhaps we knew them at one point in our lives and have since grown away from them. They were a great teacher for us, they were there for a reason. They may have brought us down at one point, but in essence they taught us about being positive.
Our heads can play some pretty nasty tricks on us. Our minds are so powerful they can trick us into thinking this is what our heart wants, in fact we can go for years on this information. This can put us into some strange and hurtful situations. It is almost hard to believe that our mind can make us believe our heart is open, but it happens more often than you think.
How many times do we take a step back an How d take an inventory of where “we” are in our relationships? Like any good business we must regularly check what we have in stock in order to know what have and where we need to do some work. I am not talking material stock here. Im talking personal inventory, and I am not suggesting you take your partners inventory either. No, it’s a time to look in the mirror and see where “you” are.
“So why do things happen? How does life work? Tell me the truth, so I will no longer hurt.” “It’s really quite simple. One thing you must know. Always remember: you reap what you sow.” I had heard this before and it didn’t make sense. If I thought about it much, it made me quite tense. It was the law of karma, of choice and consequence, Some say cause and effect, but to me it was nonsense. So I said, “It can’t be true. And I can prove that it’s not. When a child suffers,
Indesiveness is born out of fear and insecurity. As long as I am in the grip of my fear and fear-based conversations, I will not be able to really honor myself. And without honoring myself, I will not have the courage to make decisions out of my true being. I am spiraling downwards into self-doubts and insecurity. I do not trust my intuition. I conform to the opinions of others and to what is generally accepted to be true and right. Fear, self-doubts and insecurity - all of that is not a problem.
I forgot a friend’s birthday this month. A friend that I’ve known for over 20 years. I really have no excuse, as it just so happens that 7 birthdays of close friends and family fall in the first week of January. So I’m usually prepared for this week and quite aware of each birthday on each day. But this year, I slipped up with her birthday which fell on the Saturday. So, early on the Sunday morning (my time) I received a text message asking, “Are you OK? Just wondering why you forgot my birthday.” I felt terrible! But at the same time also a little in awe at her response.

“I lead a small life, but a valuable one. Do I do it because I like it – or because I haven’t been brave? So much of what I see reminds me of what I read in a book – and I wonder, ‘Shouldn’t it be the other way round?’” These are the words Meg Ryan sends to her online friend in the movie, “You’ve Got Mail”. I recently watched this movie again and this time thoroughly enjoyed it. New and open-minded eyes see things differently! The story of the movie continues in that Meg Ryan is forced out of business (a small, intimate bookshop) by a mighty empirical book chain-store.r
The real secret of staying positive is to go beyond any effort to think or feel positively. Trying to keep your thoughts positive automatically creates inner conflict as you are approaching yourself and your way of thinking from a place of judgment and evaluation. Paying attention to your current focus of thought from a place of neutrality is far more powerful.

“Give thanks for a little and you will find a lot” - Hausa Proverb. In my early, dark days of first acquiring a disability I didn't feel I had an awful lot to be thankful for. It was like I had spent my whole life getting to the point where I had a thriving holistic therapy practice I loved, great friends provided an amazing social life, my beautiful dog who I would regularly take into the country for long walks and my adrenaline pumping exercise routine. Life was perfect. I had so much to be grateful for but then it was suddenly snatched away.
On this planet, we all go through stressful lives. In order to free ourselves from that situation, we have to look well beyond the conventional neurology. That departure can be quite interesting as it paves the way to freedom.
Shift Inside To Know Peace In todayâs ever changing fast paced world, particularly since the recent Co Vid 19 pandemic, we must rely on our Spiritual strength and Inner Balance to sustain us through such challenge. We must sensitively attune to our Spirit and Shift Inside To Know Peace. As the world changes, we must allow and change with it by trusting our own Spiritual guidance! To know peace on a deep level, itâs essential to honor the mind/body/spirit connection and ho
You never want to hold back tears because that is when the soul fully connects with the body. Be compassionate with yourself when tears want to surface. There are tears of heartache and pain, tears of pity and tears of joy. There are also tears that connect to an overwhelming sense of emotion that is difficult to articulate with words. It feels as if your soul is trying to come forth and communicate to you. I’ve heard it referred to as Spirit tears.r
It is interesting to note the way in which we cognize things and come up with feelings and emotion with respect to various items in the world. Understanding these from a wider field of Consciousness leads to confidence and peace.r
People burden themselves unknowingly with a number of religious and other impositions in order to feel secure and to reach ego-satisfaction. This load on the mind destroys inner freedom and leads to mediocrity in life. Much of the psychological contact with life is lost through self-imposed injunctions in the hope of pleasing God or for reaping spiritual rewards. After a point, they would be counter-productive and become an unfortunate burden on the mind.
Why Cry? Who wants to cry? Why should we try to feel bad if we want to feel happy? The answer lies in the true meaning of Tisha B'Av, a solemn day that reminds us of what we are missing and expresses our yearning to attain something more.r
First myth: Allowing for my emotions creates suffering.
Mindfulness is a powerful tool that can be used to help us live peacefully and experience the joy that exists right now in this moment. Additionally, mindfulness is a free practice that we can start immediately. The following exercises are quick, easy, and simple ways to help us reconnect with the present.
The answer to the question of all time is ‘LOVE’. What is the question? I hear you ask. The question is ‘What is the key to true happiness?’ We all strive to be happy. No matter what circles we revolve in, our main goal is happiness. Whether it is materialistic or ambitious our end goal is achieving something that makes us, as individuals, feel happy. Many people strive for perfection. But who is it that determines what perfection is? We all have our own ideals of perfection and aim for that and why? To make us HAPPY!
Spring is by far my favourite season. It signifies new beginnings, longer days, green shoots, buds and leaves. New life is forming everywhere. I wait for Spring throughout winter. I feel like I come out hibe ation in some ways. Some of the specialness about Spring relates to both hope and renewal. I see more people along the beach walking and running, taking up exercise regimes once again. Activity seems to have kicked up a gear and people recover the missing spring in their step. Your outer world is physically changing as it prepares for summer – but how is your inner world reacting?r
I had the opportunity to spend time at a little hunting camp remotely tucked away in the woods in Cuba, New York. The camp was very simple, a small, red painted wooden shack sitting on a hillside. I spent the weekend there in early winter, the snow covered the hillside, but small patches of brown leaves were still visible. The air was brisk, but it left a warm chill on my skin. The short trip opened up an awareness that I was searching for. This simple scene awakened all of m
Humans are social creatures, as Aristotle taught us millennia ago. We learn who we are by our interactions with others. Every day, we interact with many people. From the moment we wake up we are interacting with our family or our roommates; at school we interact with our classmates or at work we interact with our co-workers; when we run to the grocery store on the way home we interact with people there. We get along with some people amazingly and other people we disagree with

Christ self,Truth, âBe Still and Know I AM ALL THAT I AMâ Divine love of Father Mother God has released spiritual heat and spiritual light to shed Faith , LOVE, and Wisdom to resurrect the known of our true origin and the potential of what we could become. This wisdom cannot be understood by the conscious mind. This wisdom comes from the DiamondHeart conscious of the purity of the love of what life is. So life is love. The purpose of life was to experience love. Without l
Throughout all of our lives we will say or do things that will cause great regret. These things may be said or done in the "heat of the moment" or while "temporarily suspended" from who we really are (i.e. under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol). The regret we feel may come instantly or it may come later after the realization of what we did hits us. What makes it worse is when we not only hurt ourselves but when we hurt those we love. Regret is a negative emotion that if
Our mind is always processing information at some level within us. The mind gathers information, sorts and stores experiences. We use our library of experiences to filter information, structure how we will think about and approach future experiences, and make decisions. Our mind is fascinating and plays a vital function throughout our life.rnThere is also a downside to our mind, especially when it is not anchored to our real self (soul-self). Our mind begins to believe due to
There is a new Australian TV series called “Spirited’ which illustrates a relationship of sorts, betwee Henry (a ghost) and Suzy (the only person who can see him). Henry is trapped in ghost-format in Suzy’s apartment because it appears he needs to resolve some life issues still. He’s stuck in this particular building, being not alive, but also not quite dead. This couple have interesting and odd interactions, with him being inadvertently part of her family dramas (because he can’t go anywhere!). She then learns from him in return, as is demonstrated in their following conversation:
Awareness varies with people. The more advanced ones are able to perceive the hidden truths of life. This helps them organize their lives better and be compassionate to fellow beings. Evolution of consciousness is based on the deepening awareness. However, the majority is still held in limited awareness causing a lot of clamor between the individuals. It is good to examine this matter of limited and comprehensive awareness.
If fall has a theme, it’s all about change—in the air, the temperatures and even our schedules. Yes, summer’s out, autumn’s in. The days are crisper, the nights are chilly (sometimes frosty) and our calendars seem to fill quickly after the slower pace of summer. Personally, I love this time of year, and I love change. It’s been said a change is as good as a rest, for me, it’s just another word for new adventures, opportunities and experiences – like accepting a new gig as th
Have you always thought about trying meditation but never knew which type to try? Click here for 5 types of meditation to help you find inner peace.rn rnCriss-crossed legs, folded hands, and "oms." Ah, the standard meditation stance. I'm sure this is what you imagine when thinking about meditation. This is the most commonly known meditation position. And it's a wonderful one. But meditation comes in more than just one form. Meditation can be done through any action or pose. I
I recently saw a wonderful example demonstrating the limitations we experience if we live by perception and projection alone. I was reminded of how misguided and often, judgmental they can be. A member of the audience was upset at how one of the workshop leaders had spoken to another member of the group. This particular member responded, a little surprised, with the words, “It was me he spoke to, and I didn’t even notice what he said. I thought it was great!”
We have experiences in our life for a reason, to help us grow, to help us learn, and to help us share with others. Far to often we take these experiences at face value(and miss the meaning) rather than taking a deeper look to find the meaning for us at that particular moment in our life.
This week has helped me realise how important it is to be aware of our thought patterns that is going on inside of ourselves. Why do we humans use what is going on in or world to be the reason for how we feel? Why is feeling good often measured from the outside in and not the other way around? Of course, if your life is great at the moment and everything is running smoothly it can be a good thing to think this way, but as soon as something goes wrong in your life, or not ac
Shift to Wisdom by Developing Diamond heart Awareness within Your own Consciousness and Accept the Christ Self within your Human Soul Part 1 Today I read an article in the Huffington Post in the mindful living section written by Agapi Stassinopoulos Author of the book âUnbinding The Heartâ I wish to quote a few lines for you as an introduction to my own article âShift To Wisdom By Developing Diamond Heart Awareness Within Your Consciousness by Accepting the Christ Self
How has Spirit has revealed itself to you? As a young child I always felt and often saw what I called “angels’. I felt like I was always being observed. I didn’t feel alone. Later on, as I learned to meditate, I really began to connect deeply with Spirit and an intimate relationship developed where I received guidance and felt very loved.
