If you think there are just not enough hours in the day to do everything you need to do, if it often seems as if you are chasing your tail, if you are underperforming, or stressed out, and don't know what to do about it, this could be just what you need. To this day I am always shocked when I discover most of the clients I coach on time management have no organisational systems in place whatsoever. My clients are usually super busy entrepreneurs, self starters, business people trying to juggle career and home life... but they have no plan! And when you have no plan, anything can happen.
Everyday, as we walk our daily routine, there is a constant internal dialogue happening. Whether we are working, relaxing, having meals or taking a walk, our mind is prevailed by this never ending chain of questions. It is very significant to ask questions and it is very important to try to answer these questions. But we must be very careful because Some questions lead to Answers, others lead to Confusions.
Do you ever wonder why your top employees are leaving you? Do you want to know what you could have done to convince them to stay with you instead? Well, a good exit interview can give you the answer to these questions. On the part of employees, exit interviews are often the last serious form of interaction they have with their soon-to-be ex-managers. Thus, they typically see it as a chance to talk about their experience working in your company, and perhaps to let you know what things you should pay more attention to in order to keep the satisfaction levels of your employees high.
One of my clients said of her boss, âJust once, Iâd like to hear her tell me whatâs good about my work, instead of pointing out everything I didnât do.â rnSound familiar? Which brain cell warped making it so much easier to notice â and talk about â the bad stuff, while ignoring all the good that surrounds us? The fascinating thing about my clientâs comment is that her boss has told me she thinks this personâs work is great! rnSo why do I know this â and th
Have you ever been in a situation where the people around you didn't seem to recognize your genuis? You've worked really hard to develop your skills and abilities or the services or products you offer but people don't seem to get it. Situations like thes can be deeply demoralizing but they offer an opportunity to be your own best supporter and move forward confidently.
I have struggled with a barbaric and often relentless eating disorder for 26 years. That’s a long time. A first I thought I might be the only woman in her 40’s hiding my secret, but I was wrong. After wrestling with the illness in an attempt to overcome, I gave into my solo fight and entered treatment in the fall of 2011. It was there I discovered that many women, some much older tha I, have been struggling with symptoms for 30, 40, even 50 years. That floors me.
Ok so go with me on this… if your car is your brain, and petrol and water are the fuel that make your car run smoothly, then the fuel that makes your brain run smoothly are the foods you eat, the drinks you drink, and the thoughts you allow yourself you have. I’ve written before about the correlation between food/drink and your thoughts. To simplify, food turns into thoughts and thoughts turn into feelings. And… thoughts turn into feelings, and feelings affect your physical health. Digest that! Yes, it’s all connected. The body-mind connection is not just a yogic concept.
The Success Attitude formula makes achieving your Core Desires simple. The Success Attitude formula shows you how to unlock and open the door of opportunity. Success Attitude = (Core Desires + Direction) X Proper Action + Persistence Still, a Core Desire by itself won't get you where you want to go. If you live in Califo ia and want to drive to Washington, D.C., you may have a great desire, but you still need direction.
Did you know that 60% of your brain is fat? THE FUNCTIONS OF FAT: - Source of energy - Building blocks for cell membranes - Building blocks for homones - Help vitamin and mineral bsorption - Control blood pressure - Regulate body temperature - Boost immune system - Optimum brain development & performance GOOD FATS V BAD FATS: - Monounsaturated fats: Nuts (not peanuts!) pecans, almonds, seeds, avocado, virgin olive oil, - Polyunsaturated fats (omega-6 & omega-3):
To what extent are you enjoying your life? If you’re feeling more burdened or stressed than delighted these days, ask yourself: what simple pleasures can you give yourself? And when was the last time you did so? We humans have a curious tendency to find creative ways to deny ourselves simple pleasures. You should hear the convoluted excuses my uber-talented coaching clients devise as to why they couldn't possibly, say, sit outside watching clouds for half an hour. It'd be funny if it weren't so sad that they are denying themselves such basic human treats.
When coaching clients, my focus is to help them get from where they are to where they want to be in the quickest and most enjoyable way. But no matter what challenges they present me with, most of the time, it all boils down to a lack of confidence and self-belief. People want to feel good, they want to do things to improve their lives, but fears and insecurities of all sorts blur their minds and freeze them into inaction, often for months and even years.
What image or thoughts does the idea of peace bring up for your? First thoughts of peace are of quiet, calm serenity. For most of us with our modern busy lifestyles it may well be a rare thing. A nice relax in the bath, a pleasant walk on an spring day or a day out somewhere with a friend all contribute towards giving you some peace. Taking the concept of peace deeper makes us think of a time without strife, arguments or fighting. The ideal of people living together in harmony and showing respect and dignity towards each other also comes to mind.

Recently, Kara (my wife) surprised me by having a copy of Howard Wasdin’s new book “Seal Team Six’ sent to me from Amazon. I put the book on my “wish list” at Amazon right after the successful Bin Laden operation and Kara was “sweet” enough to have it sent to me. Howard Wasdin (a former Navy Seal sniper on Seal Team Six) was scheduled to release his book this spring and the Bin Laden mission catapulted his book to an instant best-seller. Talk about great timing!
Who are you really? I'm not asking what you are but rather WHO is that person deep inside of you…the one who shows up whether you want her to or not. You are not just teachers, lawyers, social workers, managers, administrators, etc. These are labels that society uses to identify the work we do. The woman in the mirror who stares back at you each morning is not all there is to who you are. You must look much deeper than the face you see in the mirror to see who you really are and love the woman in the mirror.
I love that proverb which says feed a man a fish and feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime, because it touches on the need for self-sufficiency. But it stops short because it doesn’t address those who already know how to fish, but would rather be doing ...
In the last article in this series, I talked about some yoga asanas, or poses, that can help us restore our focus and motivation as we work — without even getting up from our desks. In this article, I’ll speak more generally about how yoga helps us develop what I call Awareness and Allowing — two capacities that are key to giving us the efficiency and enjoyment we want in what we do.

It can be a challenging time when our world as we know it shifts beneath out feet. One of my favourite quotes is: Don't worry about having the carpet pulled from under your feet; learn to dance on a shifting carpet. That's the key right now, and it all depends on where your focus is and what ...
When people lose everything, and the survival of themselves and family are at risk, they may be tempted to do some bad things. Millions of people have lost their jobs. Many have either lost, or are losing their homes. Food is now, or has been, becoming an issue. With less and less people to turn to for help, there is a perfect storm brewing from which one can conclude that crime may rise. Hope Is it possible to have a strong and lasting economic recovery without jobs? No.
7 billion of us on Earth, and yet so many people feel so alone. With more avenues than ever to connect with each other, quicker than ever before, many people find it harder than ever. We can Skype, twit and poke people on the other side of the globe. So far, yet so close. So close, yet so far. We can internet date, speed date, blind date… and still, so many people have no one to love.

It is that time of the year when a lot of us reminisce about what we have accomplished over the past 12 months, and, start thinking about new goals and objectives for 2012. Recent research shows that while 52% of participants in a resolution study were confident of success with their goals, only 12% actually achieved their goals! Bad days are a part of life. We all have them. No matter how many yoga classes you attend or how smoothly your life runs, you’ll run up against one sooner or later. The secret to thriving is learning how to move forward in spite of bad days, not aiming to never have one (although minimizing their frequency is a good thing). Here are some tips for dusting yourself off and getting back on track after a bad day happens. Do you have permission to have a bad day? Make sure that your inner-perfectionist (the one who requires all-or-nothing success) isn’t running your show.
There are several kinds of careers that benefit from the use of NLP training. Many become trainers simply to further their own personal development and become much more charismatic, powerful men and women. Just having the desire to be more effective, organized and emotionally secure is usually a good purpose in itself. Additionally you can get certifications to coach NLP training to other individuals; this is now a useful asset to have if you're working for a business or an

What do you believe to be true? What you believe is the primary force behind the choices you make, the decisions you accept, and the life you live? During these last few months many of us have been seriously impacted by the insane rollercoaster and crash of the economy. But, what if you saw this chaos as an opportunity to re-create, re-examine, and live with a fresh and clear sense of being? Does this sound too ‘new-age’ for you? Why? As I look back over my work life of some
The famous poem by Marianne Williamson makes me think about how often we bury our aspirations under a bushel of self-doubt, insecurity, fear and procrastination. When we shrink, minimize and deny our strengths, talents and God given abilities, we shortchange ourselves and the world. All of us ...
With the holiday season fast approaching, time spent with family increases. Add this increased time with the addition of aunts, uncles, grandmas, grandpas and cousins, and you can have quite an interesting family dynamic. The more people you have involved in any one situation, the more effort it takes to manage the different personalities. Last year in our home was Christmas as usual. My mom, brother and his fiancé were in town and staying with us, so our normal family of four became a family of seven.
Over the years, I’ve discovered three actions that can guarantee your happiness. To start off, it’s important for you to know that happiness is a skill that anybody can learn. Most people believe that happiness is some kind of circumference that is outside of yourself. To be happy, many people think that have to own a certain thing, live a certain place, make a certain amount of money, etc. They think, “if this thing happens, then I’ll be happy.” Also, a lot of people think happiness is formula. They need certain events, things, etc to all align in order to be happy.

In all of our lives, there have been circumstances where things turned out differently than we thought they should have when looking back. Regret is when we feel sorrowful for those results and wish that something different resulted. Regret is born from our non-acceptance of what has happened. Though we cannot change what has happened, we hold the wish for something different in our minds. We may think that we should have done something differently to avoid the situation all together or to change the results. However, our suffering over what has happened is what we create right now.

EGO RUNNING WILD! Thought to Ponder . . .The ego seeks the destination; the soul seeks the jou eyr What a deadly conflict I had going on for so many years, my ego searching for the destination and my forgotten soul seeking a journey! It made it hard to live in this skin of mine; seeking and achieving things that were never enough, yet a constant feeling of dis-ease inside. I remember well the day that a marriage counsellor suggested that alcohol and other mood altering activities may have a role in the breakdown of my marriage; the most important relationship in my life.
It’s not about the exte al experience. It is always an “inside job”. It is the feelings we came here to experience. I know that I have spent a lot of time trying to change or improve my life, when all that I really wanted was to Feel better. It seemed at the time that if I could just change the exte al circumstances, my feelings would change and I would be happy. I am grateful for my journey of self improvement and treasure every book, class and event. They have all led me to a closer relationship with ME.r

If you haven't heard yet, you will soon--it's everywhere in the media. Oprah has disclosed that she has regained weight she worked so hard to lose and that she now weighs 200lbs. My heart goes out to Oprah,as well as to the millions of women who struggle just like her. Today, on a morning news show, I watched two reporters banter back and forth about what they believe she should be doing to reach and maintain a lower weight. They discussed their certainty that slower weight loss, smaller meals, and more frequent exercise are just what Oprah needs.
