If one was going to meet a friend, there is a strong chance that they would expect them to show up not only physically, but also mentally and emotionally. Another way of looking at this would be to say that they expect them to be present. However, if this wasn’t the case, it could be because they know that their friend is going through a challenging time, or it may mean that they are happy to tolerate this kind of kind of behaviour. In this case, it might be a sign that they don’t value themselves, and this then causes them to put up with this kind of behaviour. Respect

Needs are something each and every one of us have; they are part of the human experience. And although this may be the case, it doesn’t mean that they will always be fulfilled. At times, one will have to go without having their needs met. This may not be a problem for some and this could be due to their ability to regulate themselves, when this doesn’t happen. However, while going without getting their needs met on the odd occasion may be the norm for some people, for others, it may seem that they constantly have to go without having their needs met. I recently had a dream and in that dream there was a situation where I paid 60 pounds for this diamond shaped stone. I was then told how it would be worth more if I got it valued. So once I had bought it I went to a jeweller to see if it was actually worth more or if I had just been taken for a ride. Once I had got there, I asked how much it might be worth and the guy began to write down, on what looked like a napkin, how much it would be worth.
There is a quote by Carl Jung that says “Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” So based on this quote, it would be right to say that one’s true nature exists within and is not found without. To look within would then be the appropriate way of going about finding oneself. However although this may be so, it is something that is not the easiest thing to do. If one lived in a place where there were not as many distractions; on a small island for example - this would be relatively simply.
If someone spent a lot of time on their appearance in the past, there is the chance that it wouldn’t have been possible for them to go out without looking a certain way. And while they might have been able to let go when they were at home, this might not have been the case. As a result of this, it wouldn’t have mattered whether they were around others as they had to maintain their appearance. Yet even if they were at home, they may have been other people around. Another Factor
It’s not unusual to feel inadequate and incompetent from time to time. It’s when you feel like that more often than not, that it can become damaging and even paralyzing. When you find yourself constantly putting yourself down, it can prevent you from thriving in your life. You become uninterested in trying to learn and better yourself, and wind up discouraged and depressed. Could this be you? Many times self-doubt is rooted in negative childhood experiences. If you were made fun of as a child, it could impact how you feel about your abilities today.

Like most people, there are not many things I like about flying. Except for one thing! When I fly, I always choose the window seat and wait for the best part of the flight! I just love when the plane cuts through the clouds and soars above them. I absolutely love flying above the clouds and ...
Although the need to experience intimacy is one of the strongest needs that someone can have, it doesn’t mean that this is a need that will always be fulfilled. For some people in the world, intimacy will be part of life and something that is simply taken for granted. And as long as they can remember, it has always been a part of their life. But for others, it will be an experience that seems more or less impossible to have. And this is inevitably going to lead to the creation of moderate, to extreme pain. Because even though this need may not be getting met, it won’t simply disappear.
Ask any second grade class of students, "Do you love yourself?" and most children will raise and wave their hands and say, "Yesss!" By high school that number has taken a considerable dive. Developmentally the adolescent's job is to begin separating from the family to become an independent individual capable of making choices and being able to take care of her or himself. This is difficult to do when one is emotionally hurting and has self esteem issues.
Overcoming shyness will change your life. It did for me and it has for lots of other people too. So you might as well be the next person to shed this issue and get on living a life that pleases you. Overcoming shyness really will help you see life from a new perspective. Almost as good as getting a new pair of glasses that take your eyes from dim and fuzzy to bright and clear. For me when I was suffering from shyness I had a very different viewpoint of life. One that was uninspiring and almost lifeless. Yes overcoming shyness IS a big deal. So let's get started.
On one side, one can punish themselves, and on the other side, they can be punished by others. And while this is the case, it is often easier to see when one is punished by others. If one ends up being treated badly by someone, for instance, there is a strong chance that they will be looked upon as the victim. This is primarily because the point of focus is likely to be on what is taking place exte ally and what is taking place internally can then be overlooked.
Every woman has done it. Uttered those words that undermine the image we have of ourselves and our bodies. I’m too fat. I hate the way I look. If only I my breasts were larger, or I were taller, shorter, had longer legs, had curly hair, straight hair, a smaller nose, bigger muscles …and the list goes on and on. Do any of these statements sound familiar? If so, you are not alone. In our society, thin figures, youth, and fitness are considered to be more valuable. But throughout history, most societies valued fat bodies and fat diets. The fat people were rich, the thin were poor.
Human beings are interdependent and this means that relationships are a vital part of their ability to survive and to thrive. And while they need to have relationships with others, they also need to be in relationships that are fulfilling. For instance, one could be in a relationship and have a certain need met or a number of needs, but it doesn’t mean that it is enhancing their life. They could be in a situation where they are better off by themselves and away from the person they are currently with. Abuse
To have needs is part of being human and this means it is not possible for one to remove their needs. But regardless of this fact, it doesn’t mean that one feels comfortable with their needs or that they’re able to get their needs met. Some people are going to view their needs with disdain and see them as being a burden. And then there are going to be others who feel comfortable with their needs and this is going to make it easier for them to get them met.
While someone might want to be approached by others, it doesn’t mean that this actually happens. And if it does happen, it could be something that doesn’t happen enough or in the right situations. This is going to relate to all kinds of scenarios and the primary areas are often to do with ones career and social life.
For many years now, the mainstream media has been criticised for editing pictures, and this is because of the effect this has on women. When they see these images, they are often unaware of what has been done, and they can come to believe that what they see is normal. If they were able to see the images and to realise what has taken place, this wouldn’t be the case. This would then allow them to see that the images don’t actually reflect reality, and this would stop them from experiencing the same amount of pressure. Self-esteem
One of the challenges I have with the mainstream media, is that what is shown is largely portrayed as the truth. It could be said, that all forms of critical thinking are gradually eroded by exposing ourselves to it. Of course, it could be argued that it is down to the individual to use their own sense of disce ment when watching and exposing themselves to such things.

When it comes to my journey of self awareness, there are some people who stand out when I look back on where I have come from. And one of those people is Simon Rose. This is someone who originates from Australia and now travels the world teaching courses with his wife Evette. The Blog In 2009 I was looking for answers and I came across a blog. And this was all about healing and getting to the root of the issue. After reading this post and going over everything else on the blog; I soon got in touch with Simon.
When it comes to my journey of self-awareness, there are some people who stand out when I look back on where I have come from, and one of those people is Vijay Rana. This is someone who is based in England and he is a healer/therapist. Emotional Build-up Towards the end of 2014, I was looking for someone who would be able to assist me, and this was because I had an emotional build-up that needed to be released. Up until this point, I had let go of a lot of emotional baggage, but I still felt as though I was stuck.
Autosuggestion is a technique of mind training generated from each individual, which allows the subconscious mind to accept positive thoughts and goals, and from there engage its dormant power in achieving those goals. Sounds hard? With the following techniques, you will be well on your way to training the subconscious mind with autosuggestion too. nnnAutosuggestion is founded on the theory of repetition. The constant repetition of positive thoughts is used for setting goals,
We all have a story to tell, no matter who we are or where we’re from; a story that reminds us of a past that can never be forgotten. This is a story can define one’s life; one that contains the potential to create a life that is a reaction to the story or a life inspired and motivated by it. Our story So what exactly is our story? To me our story is a direct consequence of our early years and yet it is also being created with each and every moment of our life, with each breath that we take.
When one has the desire to be in a relationship with someone, they are going to have certain expectations. And the same can be said when one is already in a relationship. Now, there is the chance that one is completely aware of what these are and at the same time, there is the chance that they are only slightly aware of what they are.
While there are some people who generally think before they speak, there are others who don’t. As a result of this, they are likely to come across as being radically different human beings. Holding Back When it comes to the former, it could be said that they are typically not going to say anything unless they have taken the time to think it through. This will give them the chance to reflect on what might happen if they were to say something.
While there are some needs that human beings will need to have fulfilled in order to survive, there are other needs that can go unfulfilled without leading to someone’s death. This is not to say that it won’t have an effect on someone’s wellbeing though. For example: if one doesn’t receive the air they need, their life will soon come to an end and yet, if one doesn’t receive any kind of human contact, their life won’t come to an end.
In order to make this blog post personally valuable to you, I'd like to start by asking you a couple of questions. First, whatever sport you play, how often do you play up to your potential, in other words, if you rate your best performance a 10, how often do you play at a 10? ... The next questio I'd like you to answer is: If you can play at a 10 sometimes, why can't you do it more frequently? You obviously have the physical skills and ability or you wouldn't have been able to do it that one time.
If one was to stop eating and drinking it wouldn’t be long before they would start to experience problems. And if this went on for too long, they would soon die. But while one is likely to be aware of their physical needs in most cases, what they might not be aware of is what is going on for them emotionally.
There are numerous challenges that can arise in a relationship and while some of these are fairly insignificant and can be overlooked, others are far more significant and can’t be ignored. And while there is going to be exte al challenges, there is also going to be internal challenges. So this means the exte al challenges will typically be noticeable on the outside and if ones partner can’t see them, then perhaps friends or family will.
It occurred to me how running is a great metaphor when it comes to the journey of removing the images and projections we have of reality and seeing reality for what it truly is. Something that can also seem to be, two steps forward and one step back at times.
While there are some people who embrace their inherent vulnerability, there are others who do everything they can to come across as invulnerable. This is not to say that these are the only options available, as there are likely to be people who alte ate between the two. There will then be moments where they will be able to be authentic and moments where they will cover up how they truly feel. How they behave can all depend how they feel, who they are with and what the context is. Connection
Although emotions and feelings are something each one of us has, it doesn’t mean that they are easy to handle or manage. For some people, they generally don’t cause too many problems, unless there is a major challenge in their life. And then there are other people who find it incredibly difficult to cope with their emotions. It is then irrelevant as to what is or what is not going on in their life; as the consequences are the same. Here one can end up being completely controlled by them and feel forever at their mercy.
When it comes to who one is attracted to and attracts, it can appear to be a random process. And that one has no control over who they attract or are attracted to. Certain physical traits are often cited as being the reason why one is or was attracted to someone. And physical characteristics certainly play an important part in who someone is and is not attracted to. Most people have specific things they like and things that they are not too keen on.
Although emotions are meant to flow, this is not something that always happens. This is not to say that one should always express how they feel; as this is not always going to be appropriate. What it will involve, is for one to accept how they feel and then to contain their emotional experience. This means that one won’t have to repress how they feel and neither will they have to react to how they feel. It times one will feel the need to deny how they feel or to react to how they feel and this is normal, but these won’t be the only options they have.
While there are many examples in people’s private’s lives and in the world at large of anger that is openly expressed and out of control, there is another dynamic that is often overlooked and this is because it is not as easy to recognise. This is when one should get angry and express how they feel, but instead of doing this they end up denying how they feel. It then becomes hidden from them and typically ends up being repressed. A Negative Emotion
It is often said that abuse is passed down from one generation to another and it can be hard for people to understand why this happens. However, the next generation are not the only ones who can end up being abused; it is also something that can affect the people who the abuser comes into contact with. One doesn’t need to have children to continue the abuse; they only need to be around other people. So this can mean that one can end up abusing their friends, colleagues and the people they’re intimate with. The Cycle Has Been Broken
We live in a time where there is intense focus and even an obsession when it comes to our environment. In many ways, I believe that this is a good thing. The questions that arise for me are; what causes us to act in ways that are so destructive to the environment? And at the same time, why is it that we only seem to care about our environment, now that it is in such a precarious position. This is a position, which has been described by many, as the point of no return.
In today’s world, it is not uncommon for women to be in positions of great power and responsibility. They often have more control in their career and relationships and are not as limited as previous generations were. This is not to say that this sense of inner empowerment has become the norm for all women.
There's a famous principle used in business; you've probably heard it. The Pareto principle (aka the 80–20 rule), named after Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto, states: for many events, roughly 80% of effects come from 20% of causes. In business, it means that 80% of your profits come from 20% of your customers. Since its discovery, this principle has found broad and surprising applications far beyond the business world. Here are a few examples: • 80% of crimes are committed by 20% of the criminals • 80% of crop yields are produced by 20% of the plantsr
From the moment someone is born, their mother has incredible power over them. She has the power to build them up or the power to tear them down. Ideally, one would have had a mother who was: loving, supportive and kind, for instance. But there are also people out there who had the complete opposite. Their mother could have been someone who wasn’t nurturing on the odd occasion or they may have always been this way. And as they have so much power, it won’t necessarily matter whether one had a mother who was verbally abusive every now and then or all the time. Damage
When it comes to communicating and connecting with others it is rarely what one says that is important. This means that the words that are used are only a very small part of the equation. How something is said will make a bigger difference than what is said. But this is not the focus of this article; the point is to look at another aspect and one that shapes how someone will feel once a conversation has come to an end. The Quote
When something goes wrong, one can look into why it has gone wrong or they can find someone to blame. If one was to take the first option, it could be said that there is a greater chance of them being able to find a solution. Whereas if they were to find someone to blame for what has taken place; it might not be possible for them to find a solution. As a result of this, one could end up being stuck, and until they try a different approach, they may find that their life doesn’t change. It Gets Worse

Through the introduction of social media, people have been able to express themselves in ways that were not available in the past. People can share how they feel, where they are and where they are going, amongst others things. But one is not limited to words when comes to what is taking place in their life, they can also take pictures of themselves. And while one can share pictures of where they have visited or the time they have spent with friends or family, another option is for them to take close up pictures of their face.
Exercise is one of the best ways to improve self esteem because when you exercise you feel good about yourself. Physical exercise is also excellent for your general health and mental health. Exercise helps building esteem , confidence and prevent depression.
Stop blaming others and you will become the most powerful person in your life. Playing the blame game is not going to do anything for you or the person your blaming. Let me explain. Your life is not going quite as great as you had hoped for and you are not really sure why. So you begin to find people to blame for your frustration.
When someone is abused as a child, it is highly likely that they are going to have trouble feeling safe in life. This would have been something that they first experienced when they were growing up and something that has stayed with them throughout their adult years. So for some people, it will be easy to match their current experience with what happened many years ago. They will be aware of what took place and because of that; it is clear as to why they currently feel as they do.
When someone has experienced some kind of abuse as a child and this could be physical emotional, verbal or sexual, there is often the need to recover as fast as possible. To look for the answers and to find the solution or solutions that will make everything better. This is natural and must partly reflect that part of human nature that causes one to want something instantly and without delay. That childlike part of us that is not prepared to wait a moment longer.
Is your glass half empty or half full? Both perspectives are true; it just depends on how you choose to look at it. Whether you are an optimist or a pessimist depends on your thought patterns and has a huge impact on your outlook and success in life. An optimist has hopefulness and confidence about the future and a belief in a successful outcome. Their conversations focus on gratitude, positive plans and how things can only get better.
There are many forms of bullying around today and some of these are more overt than others. At times, this is done in a way that is so subtle, that it can take place without anyone even noticing. And while bullying has taken place for many, many years, and is nothing new, the internet has created new ways for it to occur. No longer do they need to be face to face with someone, they can do it from a safe distance and even anonymously. It also doesn’t matter how old someone is, what colour their skin is or where they are from either, as it can happen to anyone. Support
