How do we understand the term ‘love’ in the context of spiritual sadhana? We bring to the term a large number of impressions, ideas, and conceptions based on our cultural background, educational upbringing and socialization in our society. We have no direct experience, for the most part, of anything other than what we may call human love. Human love is a very mixed affair, including various needs, urges, desires, vital drives, lusts of the body and mental preconceptions about love that color our understanding.
I find it very interesting that a study was done in Africa that helps to add one more intrigue about the ability of plants. Plants that were given to us by the Great Creator… and in Native American lore, all plants and everything else has consciousness. In South Africa, there has been a great drought and many of the farm’s animals are searching for food. One of the only plants that have survived is the acacia tree because it has so many thorns.
An individual experiences a craving, an urge, a desire and automatically tries to fulfill it through some action. If it is hunger or thirst, the individual wants to eat or drink. If it is a more complex desire, something that cannot simply be accomplished, the mind is brought into the picture to determine a way to succeed in that desire’s accomplishment. We rarely reflect on where and how these desires arise, and what the mechanism is that makes them conscious within us, at least to the extent of pushing us into action.

Here is a great veggie dish that takes no time at all to prepare. Made with a bed of potatoes this dish is hearty and very filling. I made this the other night for a group of people and they raved about it— REALLY. Actually, I was kind of surprised because this dish is so simple to make. Full of all the nutrition of potatoes and bell peppers this dish will do the body good. And the rosemary is amazing, it brings this dish alive… and full of flavor. A young man in his twenties gets cut off in traffic so he speeds up and catches the guy and kicks his door in. But he can’t stop kicking, he screams and yells and just keeps kicking. Then he breaks down in tears because he knows this is not who really is. Here are a few great ways to heal rage and find inner peace.
In various places, Sri Aurobindo describes the possibility of pain becoming for the spiritual practitioner an intense form of spiritual bliss, Ananda. He is describing the psychological experience of a realized soul who has separated himself from attachment to and identification with the physical body. This is intended to show that vibrations experienced can have a different result when the individual shifts the standpoint of the consciousness. It is not meant as a prescription to ‘enjoy pain’.
Near the top of the “wish list” for most spiritual aspirants is achieving “peace”. This is generally understood however in a very personal sense to alleviate the turmoil, dissention and conflict that invariably arises in our normal circumstances living in the world. It is rarely appreciated that, as an aspect in the practice of the integral yoga, peace is actually part of the tuning and receptivity effort required to bring about the transformation from the body-life-mind complex to the supramental consciousness.
We often wonder, especially when we suffer, why things happen the way they do; and what can we do to avoid such situations in the future. Similarly, we ask ourselves the same questions in moments of extreme joy too, trying to figure out exactly what led us to such tremendous happiness, and how we can recreate that joy again. The answer to these questions is simple â itâs the result of karma. Let us understand this in some more detail. As explained by Param Pujya Dada Bhag
“It’s Easy - You Can Create and Manifest Your Life” Yes, it is possible to manifest your intentions that you want for our life. If you watched the movie “What the Bleep” many years ago… it showed we live in a quantum soup of particles that are flashing in and out of existence. And that quantum soup interplays with our intentions and creates accordingly.
The opening and activation of the subtle energy centres described in the Tantras and known generally as Kundalini Yoga, differs from the practices of integral Yoga as to process, but not necessarily as to the end result. In both cases, the subtle centres, or chakras, are opened and energy is flowing.
Most people agree that there is a general crisis in the world. Gas prices are soaring, people around the world are unable to afford the bare necessities of life, and stories of hatred and terrorism dominate the news. We have reached the point where our exploitation of the earth's resources may threaten the existence of humanity. For the first time in history, parents no longer expect that their children will have it better and easier than they had it. Optimism about the futur

There are so many who find themselves lost yet there are open doors which allow one to find inner peace. Peace filters in when we connect to something which is beyond a beginning or an end, that which is omnipresent and omnipotent. And how do we go about finding that peace? Here are a few simple ways.
I go walking in the mall daily to complete my 7 or 8 miles of walking. And a man I have struck up a friendship with also walks there. We see each other now and then… but not long ago I did not see Charles walking… he was sitting. See this link for the photo - https://paulhaider.wordpress.com/2019/02/18/case-study-healing-sciatic-nerve-pain-with-diet/ I asked Charles who is 74 why are you not walking… and Charles said he had terrible sciatic nerve pain. And I am going to see his doctor today and find out what’s going on.
Right now the US Marshall Islands have filed a lawsuit against all the nuclear powers of the world, to rid the world of nuclear weapons, and many of them have not even responded to their law suit. Having had a nuclear weapon detonated on their land they know how devastating these weapons can be. And we are inching closer and closer to the final outcome which the residents of the Marshall Islands are noticing… and want to make a stand to end this terrible escalation of nuclear capabilities. Do we sit back and allow all of this to unfold without voicing our challenge to the status quo?
Here is another simple way to stay in great health… that most can do to take control of their health. I have 2 naturally fused vertebra from a spinal injury when I was in my teens, 3 totally collapsed disks in my back, and a transitional triangle shaped vertebra in my lumbar area and I don’t have any pain at all. Along with my diet and my exercises program, anyone can take control of their health and feel great and be extremely healthy like me. — I Promise! - See Video Link — Remember to talk with your doctor before using an inversion table. https://youtu.be/kiLE438fjR8
For sure, there are not that many super memorable dreams, but they do come along a few times during a person’s lifetime. Here is a dream I had last night… a dream that is super important to me.
Here is a new true miracle that took place just the other day in Alabama where a veteran firefighter found his grandfather’s bible totally untouched by a house fire blaze that burned the house to the ground. Scott Byrd a veteran firefighter in Alabaman lived for 20 years in that house with his grandparents. But the other day the house caught on fire and absolutely everything was destroyed except the family bible. The bible looked as though it was set on a sheet of asbestos and was not touched at all by the flames.
Even when we try to do the best there’s always some negative aspect created by even the best of intentions. Thus our karma changes and we change accordingly. But there are few things we can do to make our karma clock move in a positive direction. Our karma clock is given to us set at 12 noon, but as we progress though many life times, we move our karma clock forwards or backwards depending upon what we decide to do with our intentions.
“And Why Do We Need it Now, When The World is Upside Down” It’s said that God is dharma and thus we are to be the embodiment of that which is full of virtue, love, and peace which is also dharma. To do what one knows is right for society thus working according to the great cosmic plan is also dharma.
Anxiety in this day and age is part of the living process, but it doesn’t have to destroy lives. Anxiety, tension, and emotional feelings that are overwhelming can be healed if we are willing to open up and talk about what we have going on inside… and let all of those frustrations out.
Your body is not a structure, it is a process. Your body, the ecosystem, and the universe are all one process.nWhen we look deeply within any structure it becomes obvious that structures are perceptual artifacts. Even a rock is made up of minerals, which are molecules, which are in turn composed of atoms. But the atoms are not solid entities. They are hierarchies of states of information and energy in a huge emptiness. n nThis means that what we perceive as a hard, inert rock
Sri Aurobindo took up yoga, not for individual salvation or to abandon the life of the world, but to aid in transforming life, for action in the world.
We often feel that we don't have the time or energy to extend ourselves to others with the small gestures that compose what we call common courtesy. It sometimes seems that this kind of social awareness belongs to the past, to smaller towns and slower times. Yet, when someone extends this kind of courtesy to us, we always feel touched. Someone who lends a helping hand when we are struggling with our groceries makes an impression because many people just walk right by. Even so
We tend to identify with the perceptions, sensations, desires, feelings and thoughts we experience and through the ego-consciousness, we take ownership of them and believe that they are what makes up our unique individuality. When we sit quietly, and turn our attention away from the outer world, we experience the internal dialogue that takes place as we process all of these impinging forces and their impact on our brain and nervous system. We remain identified with them.
Here is another true modern day miracle that took place not too long ago and it’s a pretty amazing story. Peter Suslock who lives in the US has a bulldog by the name of Harley… and they have been companions for years. Then Harley became terribly ill.

We have a friend by the name of Frieda who enjoyed a very interesting meeting with some Spiritual Orbs of Light at her old family homestead. Frieda and some friends decided they would drive to her old childhood homestead in Puerto Rico which was dilapidated, covered with vines, and falling down. And they thought it would be a short trip, but the trip took much longer than they expected. So they ended up getting to there about sunset.

rnWhen we use external information as our source to create options, we are simply merging into the opinion expressed by others, forgetting our ancient library, the library of our soul. What use is this to us? No wonder the media and all written material do their best to influence us. We are swayed easily, we are influenced too quickly, only because we have not engaged our soul in interacting with external information. This leaves us without soul care, similar to no parental c
The vital nature has an innate drive towards fulfillment and satisfaction of desire. Since most individuals are oriented towards the outer life, the fulfillment comes through attaining desirable objects of the vital focus. This can be accumulation of wealth, it can be family, fame or achievement of certain goals one sets for oneself. For some people this can shift into the arena of charitable work, volunteer efforts to help create a better environment or improve other people’s lives.
Spiritual experience and progress can be confusing. In many cases the seeker is misled or misunderstands what is actually taking place, and the significance of it. Spiritual paths generally recommend the seeker find an experienced guide, or Guru, among other reasons, to help mitigate confusion and keep the seeker oriented in the right direction as new thoughts, emotions, feelings, experiences and events occur during the process of spiritual growth.
There is a difference between action undertaken with the usual motives in the normal course of human life, and actions undertaken by the spiritual seeker attempting to achieve spiritual growth and realisation of the Divine. The outer form of action, in and of itself, does not make an action ‘spiritual’ in nature. The true test of spiritual action is the inner driving force and motive. At a certain point, the seeker also recognises that the egoistic motives can remain active even undertaking socially valuable, altruistic efforts.
The first of the three major transformations of consciousness that Sri Aurobindo describes as required to actually effect the needed change in human nature, is the psychic transformation. With this transformation, the soul comes forward, takes control of the mind, life and body and turns them towards the Divine. There is an opening to the Divine and one becomes aware of the inner ranges of awareness behind the surface personality and its actions. There is a shift from the ego-standpoint to the standpoint of the soul inhabiting the body-life-mind complex.
The Supreme Divine is “One without a second”. Yet we can still make mental distinctions between the Transcendent, the Universal and the Individual aspects of the Divine, as that is the nature of the mental consciousness, and we can focus on one or another of these aspects without forgetting the unity and oneness that contains, constitutes and supports each aspect. To do this, we recognise that we cannot limit the Divine by any specific aspect or identification. “Not this, not that” is intended to remind us that these definitions cannot limit the Divine.
Emotions tend to be hard to deal with. Spiritual seekers recognise that emotions can disrupt the focus and lead the seeker into undesirable vital entanglements. Many spiritual paths counsel cutting off the emotional outlets and renouncing the life in the world. They ask the seeker to abandon family, friends and career, abandon relationships in society, in order to create a calm, quiet, focused life within which the spiritual aspiration can thrive. Other spiritual paths may try to harness the emotions to provide the intensity they evoke, while redirecting the energy created to divine worship.
Every Life Is Connected To Its Previous LifernThe seeds of karma are sown in the past life, and they bear fruits in this life. So, whatever we are experiencing in our life today is nothing but the result of our past life karma. This is the reason why the past life karma has so much of significance. Suppose there is a big crowd assembled in a ground. And suddenly, a snake comes and bites a person; he yells and falls down unconscious. The question that arises at this point is t
