Scientific research is zeroing in on a very complex linkage between health issues and spirituality. This suggests that, if subtle energy, spirit, or some other aspect of the human can, in fact, significantly influence a person’s heath and well-being status; then more potent and reliable care options and recovery prognosis outcomes are at hand. This linkage could dramatically alter the exclusive pharmacological “chemical contact/interactive” model of today’s medical paradigm.

“It is a beast, this thing that stirs in the core of my being, but it is also the star of my innermost nature. I have to care for this suffering with extreme reverence so that, in my fear and anger at the beast, I do not overlook the star.” – Thomas Moore
Gratitude, The Process of Manifestation and the Experience of Everyday Miracles by Lori Spagna Our society has not been trained to express gratitude for all of the magnificent gifts we have. In many ways we have actually been trained to pay attention to the lack of what we have, or what we have not. It is the paying attention to that lack which actually creates the lack, not the other way around.
Have you ever thought that Esau ended up with the short end of the stick? His brother outwitted and deceived him twice. With brothers like that, who needs enemies? But, believe it or not, God used this tangled mess of events to bring all glory to Himself even though Jacob was a master deceiver.

What do men really want from a woman? Well, it's impossible for one man to speak for all men. But almost all of us want companionship, sex, and love, not necessarily in that order. Of course, many men like cars, and sports, and gadgets, but that's not what this article is about. I'm talking ...

Wise words are not always found where you might expect them. The words come from Harrison's favorite bedtime story from when he was little. Yet although, they are humbly written in a children's book, they are worthy of being read & listened to again & again ... Love cannot die, it is within us ...
Let's face it, keeping the sizzle with your partner can get overshadowed by life in general. And yet, that's what part of what we fell in love with. If you want to rekindle those feelings use these five tips to get that lovin feeling back. 1.) How often do you compliment your partner? Or notice when he/she does something for you without being asked? We all like to be appreciated. Too often in relationships, we get used to our partners doing things and we slack off showing them how much it means to us or makes our lives just a little bit easier
Libra is the 7th holy day of the 12 holy days of Christmas. The 12 holy days start on December 26-January 6th. Each day is assigned to a Disciple, sign of the Zodiac, spiritual attainment, spiritual part of the physical body, and a thought meditation from the Bible. My book "Christmas Meditations on the Twelve Holy Days December 26-January 6" by Merry C. Battles is a compilation of my 26 year dedication to the 12 holy days of Christmas. The Disciple for Libra is St.

An affirmation, or statement of intent, can be a powerful law of attraction tool when it is used to move you vibrationally to a better feeling place. Limiting beliefs and negative self-talk can be overcome when you redirect them with positive affirmations, which voluntarily reaches the subconscious mind and influences it with your new beliefs and positive self-talk. Affirmations are simple to use and can be used any time, anywhere, by anyone. Keep these tips in mind when using affirmations:
Many people these days have are proud to acknowledge that they have 'hit the spiritual trail', they've taken up one or more of the various aspects of modern spirituality which are popularly available. In these days of open acceptance and general tolerance of alte ate spirituality practices, there are any number of people who, at any given time – are switching paths, or adding on new ones in their quest for comfort and closure. - Comfort: from personal problems; including career, health, and relationships. - Closure: due to the inability
This article clarifies two major myths and misconceptions rampant in the self-help industry about the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is purported by some well-known teachers in the industry to be full of dark and unwanted tendencies. If you can impress upon your terrible subconscious pictures and visualizations of the things you want and release yourself from its negative programming, you can finally achieve the success you deserve. The following are two fundamental claims about the subconscious that are nothing more than myths.
“Pancreatitis is a very painful, but there are many ways to heal this dis-ease and bring the body back into harmony with life and feel great again.”
We all have very challenging, difficult people in our lives. While they often bring up LOTS of stuff for each of us to look at and clear and thus be a good influence ultimately upon us – sometimes the person and situation may become abusive and toxic. So where do you draw the line?
Pain, whether emotional or physical, causes us to focus on something that doesn't feel very good and this can put a dark cloud over our experience of the world. We can feel both helpless and hopeless. At an energetic level you could say that the normal positive and life enhancing energy flow ...
Every journey in life needs places of encouragement to keep us focused on making it to completion. A spiritual journey is no different and like any journey we make in life it also has its key markers that dictate to us what progress we have made. The difference between a spiritual journey and other jou eys is that there is a constant discovery of something new within us. In other words we are not reborn once but every time there is a significant spiritual change within us. Our Lord says we should live each day as it comes and not regard for raiment or food for the next day.
Some people go around the world in order to do something known as Karmic Yoga. Karmic Yoga, like all Yoga, is a way to connect with one´s inner divine self and with God. Through Karmic Yoga one is actually working in the world in a sacred manner to be the embodiment of love, like the One that ...
The Christ is not just one person. The Christ is an "office" or "position" we ALL attain to. The word Christ means, "the anointed one." Jesus came to show us the way to be a vessel for the Love of God to manifest. When the Christ Spirit entered Jesus he had perfected His soul in many lifetimes ...
Recently, in response to an article I had written on Forgiveness, I was contacted by a person who said, "Physiologically, the brain can't forget; I'd like to forgive, but how can I forget what was done to a young child? How can I forget that trauma when I am alone at night in the dark...?" ...
Last week, I received an email from a reader stating, "I have evolved past the spiritual understanding of author." I chuckled at the reader's bluntness. He didn't mince words; clearly, he felt that he had developed capabilities that were not only greater than those of "author" but beyond the "understanding of author."
God is often envisioned as a distant, unapproachable, fearsome entity – a punisher ensconced on a thunderhead, angrily smiting humans for even the smallest transgressions. He is actually everywhere – outside you, around you, within you – waiting expectantly and with great love, for you to invite Him into your life. According to Jeremiah 1:5, He's known you prior to your birth – "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart" – and He wants you to get closer to Him by inviting Him into your life.
What do you imagine for your life. This was a questio I recently asked when I was speaking. Some of the responses were “Perfect, fun, prosperous, and peaceful." That was then…but what about you? “Are you really imagining your life the way you want it to be?” Do you think you can? I have to say, I didn’t, especially not consciously. Many of us are imagining in haphazard ways and then wondering how come experiences are showing up in our lives. However, the thought of each of us really understanding that we can image our life into being/becoming is empowering to me.
Forgiveness is the only path that leads us out of hell. Forgiveness is letting go. It is surrendering. It is giving up the need to be right. It is finally admitting to yourself that you are open and willing to live your life another way. That way is through the door of forgiveness. If you are experiencing pain, anguish, fear, turmoil, confusion, doubt, shame, terror, hate or anything similar, there is some aspect of yourself or another that you are not loving and accepting. Forgiveness is the balm to heal all wounds.
In my earlier years whenever I had a negative experience where I got hurt or wounded, I would look back on that event and beat up on myself for making a mistake. But as I look back on these events now I realize that there really are no "mistakes." Each of these events had a purpose behind it. I just wasn't wise enough or did not have the expanded vision and perspective to comprehend the meaning behind those experiences.
Nineteen years ago, I lost my younger sister. It was sudden and tragic. The pain was much, the wound was very ghastly. My heart bled for the loss of a sister, confidante and friend. I thought I would never be able to laugh again. In fact, I lost hope in everything. Then, memories of good times we spent together began to unfold like a fresh lotus. Her wonderful, kind and gentle spirit, her philosophy of living in the moment and the way she lived a life of giving in cash and kind. This was the beginning of the healing process which turned things around for me.
Inner peace is a deep feeling that comes from the heart. It is an inner knowing that no matter what happens in your life you can handle it and maintain a peaceful and happy state of mind. It comes from knowing that you are never alone and that there is a power greater than you; a power you can tap into at anytime and receive the help and guidance you need. The question most people wonder about is – How can I obtain and maintain inner peace? The solution lies not in obtaining
I am so proud of our military and how day in and day out they are defending our country. These men and women are truly standing firm as they do their job with great passion and focus. Do your kids know that God wants them to have this same kind of passion and focus while being on duty for Him? First Corinthians 15:16 says this: “Be on your guard, stand firm in the faith, be men of courage and be strong.” Doesn’t this verse sound like the perfect Scripture for any soldier?
Have you ever felt that the people around you were acting like children and you were the only real adult in the room? It could be at work, or at a family gathering, a community meeting, or reading some blog. Maybe you listened to people gossip, share opinions as if they were facts, or watched as people argued without listening to each other. Or, you were the teacher or leader and no one was interested in accomplishing the goals. Or, people were yelling, getting upset, and insisting on their own rightness. What do you do, if at the moment, you are the only real adult in the room?
Recognizing Synchronicity ~ Guidance from the Archangelsr By Heather Fanjoy, ATP®
Alcoholism is extremely common in our society and it affects the lives of very many people. It is insidious and it ruins lives everywhere it presents itself. Alcohol is one of the only drugs on the market that is legal. Supermarkets sell it off extremely cheaply, with their special offers and year round advertising. We see pictures on the television of the young adults binge drinking every weekend, and alcohol costs the health service, ambulance and police services untold amounts every day.

Each of us, no matter what religious path we follow or deities we worship, has a spark of Divinity within us. This spark of Divinity is your soul or spirit or whatever you might wish to call it and if you learn to get past your learned ego then you'll find that your inner Divinity can actually provide a lot of guidance.
What if it were true that there is only "one Soul on the planet at a time"? How would this notion effect you? Would it change the way you live? Would it help you see others in a different light? Most of us have a common belief or understanding that we are in some way interconnected. However, we still go about our business and busy lives as if we are completely separate and unique from everyone else. But what if there really is only one Soul on the planet at a time. Would it c
Things happen for a reason. Our whole lives are a series ofrnconnected events, one foreshadowing another. It is all one giant puzzle that brings together all the necessary elements that are needed for our soul’s evolution and growth. These are really all given in love, the one cohesive force that binds all of us together as one. The Christian religion has adopted many rituals and days ofr
There are many different ways to hear the angels' messages. For this article, I would like to concentrate on the four principle ways that they communicate with us. Clair Audience. This is the ability to hear something inside your head that has not been spoken. If you can close your eyes and imagine the tune of your favourite song, then you are clair audient. People that are clair audient often receive messages as if someone was telling them the message. Clairvoyance.
“Balance is so very important for people on the spiritual path. Many people I have observed on the path focus so intently on spiritual growth that they ignore the needs of their bodies; experience out of control emotions; and operate from the ego mind. We are here to ground the energy of Spirit into our body, emotions and mind as well as to evolve the soul.”
GITEN ON BEING ONE WITH THE WHOLE "I was 9 years old when I had my first glimpse of wholeness. It was early Christmas morning and I was standing in my pajamas in the living room and looked out of the large windows. Outside the white snow flakes silently singled down toward a snowclad landscape. Suddenly I was filled with a feeling of being one with the slowly dancing snowflakes, one with the silent landscape.
If you are looking to have a REIKI session, but just can't find the time or simply do not know a REIKI practitioner in your area then distant REIKI may be the method for you. As a form of energy, REIKI does not follow the same linear way of thinking that we humans do. It can travel across time and space. Sending REIKI to someone in India, while you are in San Francisco is not a problem. Or sending it to the past to heal your feelings about an event is also a possibility.
When you think of the great enlightened masters, they all seem to share many similar traits: Unusually intelligent, charismatic, can do miraculous things, and they all exhibited the use of the Sixth Sense. The Sixth Sense or Psychic Sense is anything that excels beyond 'basic' sensory. * So a dog that can always sense when its owner is coming home, * Waking up in the middle of the night and feeling something is 'strange',
The word spirituality is often interchanged with the words faith and religion. Though they are interrelated, the terms have very different meanings. This article will specifically focus on what it means to embrace spirituality, and the many positive attributes of living a life that is spiritually based. Spirituality is a subjective and individual belief system. It's the uncharted path we take to seek out the true essence of our being, the meaning of life, and our core values
Caribbean Calypso Beans and sometimes called Orca Beans or Yin Yang Beans are great food. They are easy to grow, and they taste a little bit like potatoes, and have a creamy texture like potato which is very interesting… plus they have lots of great health benefits. Calypso Beans are black and white and thus the nick name Orca Beans. Where they Grow - Calypso Beans grow in the Caribbean, in Central America, the US, in Peru and other areas of South America.
As a writer, I became interested in understanding the plight of men back in the nineties when Robert Bly, Sam Keen and other men who pioneered the Men’s Movement began to write and speak up. I was curious and it fascinated me to read books like Fire in the Belly and Iron John. It also helped me to begin to have a better feel for how men suffer in this culture.
Manifest in the world knowing that you are a Divine being of love and light. Our birthright is to manifest our spirit through our words, actions and our work in the world - our service to humanity. In order to manifest in the world we need to surrender to God. Then our ego is out of the way and Spirit is in charge. Then we need to stay open to being guided by our higher power through inspiration and intuition moment to moment. The Universe has our back, so to speak so that we can manifest in the world what we dare to imagine in our mind. Surrendering to God
How do you know when you're hearing God's voice? Perhaps you've been praying or meditating and you sense you've heard God's voice - but how do you know? I've been asked "Is God's voice a thought or an actual voice that we hear?" I'm not going to place limits by saying God's voice is one or the other or only these. I will say that I've personally experienced both. The thoughts are more common for me. It may be that I'm just too uncomfortable hearing voices! I mean people are thought to be crazy for that right?
Opening up to your Spirit Guides – ways to open or enhance your connection with them. It is more and more recognised that everyone is born with a guide who is there to help throughout our life. Some people have additional guides who come to help them with a specific lesson they need to learn or with a certain project they wish to accomplish. Guides are your closest friends. They are there to help and are available as soon as you ask for help. They inspire and pass messages through your intuition.
I have noticed over the years that whenever I give something purely from my heart (NOT my head or not with intent to receive) that very soon thereafter I would receive something nice back usually within two hours. At first I thought it was coincidence but it happens all the time which suggests that really it is a spiritual law in operation.
I witnessed a miracle today. My dear cats, Frannie and Sienna, curled up on my bed and took a nap together. This may not seem like much to you, but some miracles have to be explained to appreciate in value.
Spiritual growth is a very personal journey. We are spiritual beings in a human body from our first breath to our last. Each time we breathe in, we accept life and all she has to offer us. With each out breath, we release all that we no longer need. As small children, we wonder at nature and the world around us, and we display an enormous sense of excitement about all things new. As we grow, this diminishes as we learn how we are expected to behave.
