One of the key ways we sabotage ourselves is by keeping so busy that we have no room to breathe and no room to be present. We multi-task ourselves to death while overbooking our schedules and can barely see straight. I know. I’ve been there and slip into that pattern most easily. What I know for sure is that it is extremely detrimental to our success. It literally inhibits our ability to create wealth in all areas of our lives.
How do you feel each morning when you hear the alarm clock? Fashion comes and goes with the whims and moods of the moment—often with little or no conce for the results in the mirror. Thus, being in style is not the same as having style. Having style implies that one is a creature of natural refinement and elegance. Being in style suggests that a person ...

I walk my dogs every day. After I get past a certain point on the walk I let them off their leashes. Their reactions to freedom are the exact opposite. Barney likes to wander off the path. He’s a three year old Beagle so he will follow his nose just about anywhere. In fact, I have to watch him so he doesn’t wander too far off the path and get lost. Lucy, on the other hand, is 14 years old and a Border collie. She follows right behind me. Occasionally she will stop to sniff and then gets right back on track. Truthfully, she doesn’t even need a leash.
Have you paid attention to your body language and the message it sends out to others and to yourself? Have you wondered why at times people react very differently to you than you expect or the intent of what your message was? In basic terms, wholeness is the ability everyone has to utilize all of our strengths, skills and abilities --without limitation -- in order to live our best life and be our best self. While '-ness' represents the quality or degree of something, the Merriam-Webster dictionary provides two definitions for 'whole' that I particularly like. The first is 'constituting the total sum or undiminished entirety' and the second is 'constituting the entirety of a person's nature or development'. As I use the term, wholeness captures the concept of the undiminished entirety of our nature, our best self.

You are stuck in the road, on your way to a very important meeting. In front of you, there is an elderly man trying to start the engine of his limousine-like car. You are wondering: a) What have I done to deserve this? b) Until what age are old people allowed to drive? c) Where is the police when we need it? d) What can I do to resolve this and get to the meeting on time? e) Let’s press the horn to wake him up.

As you begin to take action toward the fulfillment of your goals and dreams, you must realize that not every action will be perfect. Not every action will produce the desired result. Not every action will work. Making mistakes, getting it almost right, and experimenting to see what happens ...
“Does Serena Williams, Kenye West and Rep. Wilson demonstrate the need for anger management or is it something else?” America is exploding with public displays of person-directed anger in sports, entertainment and politics. While anger is a normal human emotion, the displays of verbal aggression and anger by West, Williams and Rep. Is this a typical working day for YOU? 6am Oh no, the alarm is going off and I have to get up. I can't face work today. I would rather stay in bed! It's always late or overcrowded, I really hate public transport. It's rubbish. 8.30am At work. Roll on 5pm Friday.

In this modern age, when we can reach out and touch someone via Skype - seeing them, as well as hearing them, earn a graduate degree without ever setting foot in a classroom, and take online "virtual tours" of homes instead of driving around with a realtor, it's easy to understand why webinars, downloadable podcasts, and searchable training databases are the focus of many companies' field-development efforts. People are busier than ever and your consultants are no exception.

People travel to wonder at the height of mountains, at the huge waves of the sea, at the long courses of rivers, at the vast compass of the ocean, at the circular motion of the stars; and they pass by themselves without wondering. — St. Augustine The ancient Greek aphorism “Know Thyself” was inscribed in the forecourt of the Temple of Apollo at Delphi. Before we begin our journey through the 40 powerful ways you can self-sabotage your own success, let's take a moment to define "self-sabotage". We live in the communication age. We can talk to each other faster and easier than ever before. We have cell phones, blogs, e-mail, and social networks like facebook and twitter. There are so many new ways to communicate. So why is it that we have so much trouble communicating? It seems to me that we’re all talking, but no one is listening. We write our opinion or post our status or send a text or e-mail, but we don’t actually talk anymore. I remember when answering machines first came out and everyone HATED leaving a message.
You've felt that glimmer of the Divine impulse - that insistent idea whispering in your ear saying: "start a business . . . start a business . . . ." You have experience in your field. You've done your homework on determining the right clients for you, where you'd want to locate the business, who you might need to help you with it. And then you run headlong into that first real stumper of a question - like going 90 miles an hour into a brick wall - "what form of business will
I’ve been talking about Angel committees for years and it’s been a lot of fun. My idea of an Angel committee is that everyone has one and that they conspire to force us to live our lives fully. They will do whatever it takes to get our attention and they howl with delight when they think up a really good scenario to force us to get honest and get brave. A while ago my friend Francie and I were taking an afte oon walk.
She is a jellyfish or a stingray. Women face double standards on just about everything including about how tough she is. If a woman is diplomatic, she is regarded as “too soft” - more direct and she’s saddled with the label of “too harsh”. Had Secretary of State Hillary Clinton been a man and told Pakistani journalists when speaking about financial aid from the U.S. that their government “did not have to take the money”, that would have been that. Seemingly lucky men, usually enjoy social acceptance whenever they display strength.

I recently had the opportunity to participate in a nine day intensive, small group training with Janet Bray Attwood, the founder of The Passion Test. From our group, more than half of the participants were from Japan as The Passion Test has been experiencing fast growth in Japan. During our course I was introduced to a new movement in Japan called “Maro Up” and I learned a few Japanese words - the most important one “Arigato,” which means Thank You.
This has been a challenging month for me on the home-front and so I’ve been thinking about energy—how to have more of it to get through my (sometimes long) days. Have you ever known someone who’s always a bundle of energy and you end up feeling more energetic after being with them? How about someone who comes into a room and seems to suck all the energy out of it within moments? What is the difference between these two people? n nHave you ever had a day wher
Everyday the Internet, television, radio and newspapers report a worsening economic situation and people read or watch while hyperventilating and getting more and more depressed. That is, most people. However there are some who are sitting back and viewing this situation with calm. But they are not glued to the bad news day in and day out.
Welcome to Creating Harmony’s Harmonising Times. Our intention is to provide our readers, friends and connections with an overview of what is emerging in our much larger, ever evolving community. Influenced by Venus being retrograde, this moon is asking us to re-evaluate what matters most in our lives?
Some people, including some coaches and some self improvement âgurusâ, may tell you that there is no such thing as failure. Yet, when you look around, you will see that failure, the fear of failure or the desire to avoid failure seem to be all around us and affecting the lives of almost everyone in one way or another.nnHow many of us, as adults, can honestly raise our hand and say that we have never experienced failure? How many sportsmen, athletes or team players can say

Defining and understanding General knowledge is a rather broad and open-ended pursuit. We can narrow it considerably by stating that we are interested in defining and understanding knowledge as it pertains to knowledge management (KM) rather than tackling the entire realm of epistemology. This article takes the theory of knowledge espoused by Aristotle and views it through the lens of knowledge management. The writings of Aristotle have proven to be fertile ground for uncover
