Many years ago, as my personal-growth journey was expanding, I strived to find the fundamental principals of success that would be consistent to the entire personal development industry. I was happy to find some of these principals, yet I was shocked as I noticed that one principal would contradict another! What was going on? "There's no ultimate truth," I thought, "just everyone's personal version of it." Have you noticed contradictions from one book to the next, from one speaker to the next, or from one seminar to the next? How do we account for these inconsistencies?

As I lie restless in a cold room, I can smell a strong sweet and sour nauseous scent. There are noisy electrical machines attached to my body, a long tube jammed down my throat, and fluids are being transfused into the veins of both of my arms. I wonder,n n"Where am I and what are they trying to do to me?"n nAs they restrain me by tying my arms to the bars on the bed, my heart starts racing and pressure builds inside my head. I struggle to free myself from these shackles beca

For people who struggle with time management, clutter reduction is often the first step to having more time in your life. When you simplify your environment and organize your life, it makes tasks go more smoothly, and helps you make the most of your limited time. For me a lack of clutter is like a breath of fresh air. It helps me THINK more clearly. I'm not distracted by "stuff" cluttering up my desk, the floor or my life. It frees up my creative energy, allowing me to approach tasks more directly and move through them more efficiently.
There are a lot of people today who are talking about the end of the Mayan calendar which takes place in the year 2012. Some are confusing it with the end of the world. Others are saying, it is the end of the world as we know it. What world are we going to create for ourselves? Our Personal ...
Wanting is the one hard wired human condition that will not go away. We want to be warm, we want to be fed, we want to be loved, we want so many things. And then after those basic wants are fulfilled, we want to be happy and successful, in whatever way success is defined for each of us. Given that truth, it might work the best for us, to learn how to develop a relationship to wanting that works for us as a foundation for our success. What would a relationship like that look like? It would be one that on a continual, day by day, basis, causes us to shift our energy from, to.

Hi there everyone!! Did you know that you were meant to be free? That it is your birthright! Did you know that having a boss is unnatural, artificial, almost inhuman, and it's a constraint on your personal growth? Did you know that God intended for you to be your own boss? Since biblical times, society was organized so that everyone was their own boss. This whole phenomenon of bosses and employees is relatively recent in history. It started at the time of the Industrial Revolution.
One of the subjects that has been coming up a lot with both my Personal Breakthrough Life Coaching Clients and PhotoReading Clients is the subject of dreams. I regularly work with people to help programme and utilise their dreams, and show them tools and techniques to more easily remember and recall their dreams so that they can do a personalised analysis of what the dream means to them. In this article I will share with you some of the ways that you can start doing this for yourself, and also offer practical steps for more easily remembering and interpreting your dreams.
Some of the shoe mistakes women frequently make are due to the comfort factor - it’s tricky to find shoes that look fabulous and are comfortable. But more often than not it’s simply a matter of choosing unsuitable styles - which not only make you look shorter and heavier but can change the entire mood of the outfit as well. The rule of thumb in buying shoes for the workplace is “You get what you pay for”! Of course that doesn’t mean you can’t shop for a deal, but super cheap shoes – while great for cute weekend wear – should not be the footwear of choice for work.
It has been well over two years that our economy has taken a deep plunge for the worst, and though various reports are making claims that we're recovering slowly, the fact remains that most people are still struggling to survive. With gasoline, food, education, and housing prices constantly on the high, the average Americans can barely make ends meet. Therefore, taking a nice well-deserved vacation to a beautiful and exotic destination with their loved ones is definitely out of range and out of question.

One of the biggest challenges people face today is they feel life is just passing them by. Guess what? It is, unless you are willing to invite life in and try something new. Each day offers us something different if we are willing to see, touch, taste, smell and hear all that life is offering us. If you go to a buffet to eat, do you choose things you’ve never tried before? Or, do you take the same things as always? When you purchase clothes, do you try new colours? Or, do you stick with the same ones? How about your routines at home and work?
One of the biggest struggles all of us have in our modern world has to do with how to manage time. Most of us are so busy, and bombarded with demands on our time. We are overstimulated by choice, and even inventions designed to make us more effective and efficient often become time-stealers. (Think about computers and email, for instance). We struggle to be more productive to no avail. We struggle to find more time, all the while feeling that we have less and less of this precious resource.
People who are making the change to a conscious and spiritually-driven life often discover that they are yoked to someone who is not prepared to come along on that jou ey. The partner is mired in his or her own negative thoughts and emotions, and meets any topic of spiritual enlightenment, ...
Stuckness By, TB Wrightnnn At one time or another we all have said that we were "stuck." Let's examine this declaration, because saying those words is exactly what it is: a stand for being stuck. So what does it mean to be stuck? It usually means that there's somewhere we want to be at, either ...
Do you remember a time when you felt fully empowered – that feeling of being on top of the world, honoring yourself and your values, expressing yourself, your talents and your gifts as you choose, living the life you want? You might feel like this right now, or not. Even if you don't remember a ...
I read the little book that inspired the successful book and movie “The Secret” called “The Science of Getting Rich” by Wallace D. Wattles. It reminded me of the Universal Principles I learned decades ago. The book doesn’t get into details of why the principles work. Instead, it is an application manual. How cool is that? “The Secret” and its interpretation of the “Law of Attraction” drew a lot of controversy. One argument is the simplicity of using the Law of Attraction to become materially wealthy.
In order to succeed in a private practice today, it's not enough to simply be competent or even great at what you do. You have to have a Unique Selling Proposition (USP) - a specialized technique, customized business model or other unique offering that not only attracts customers to your practice, but keeps them coming back for more and wows them so completely that they enthusiastically to refer you to their friends and family.
The Flow, Following Spirit, In The Votex, On The Grid, What Feels Lighter is True for You, Ask and Receive, Law of Attraction, Follow Your Spirit A few days ago, I kept following “what feels lighter” (as taught by AccessConsciousness.com ) something I have always done, but explained by them in a very simple manner. Somehow it CLICKED, it all came together in my mind with “Follow Your Spirit”, “In The Flow” and “In The Vortex”.
Even without my practice, I have an eclectic group of creative people in my life. My creative tribe includes filmmakers, glass mosaic artists, photographers, writers, dog trainers, programmers, entrepreneurs, dance instructors, chefs, musicians, architects, and teachers.
The difference between self-love and self-esteem baffles many of us. When we listen to our heart, however, self-love blossoms quietly, but joyfully, filling each of our pores with immense peace and satisfaction. That is something that self-esteem cannot achieve. The public has become familiar with the term self-esteem. It has become a household term. Yet, self-love is rarely mentioned. People believe that the terms are synonyms. Even wikipedia surprised me with a definition that equates self-love with self-esteem. This is what Wikipedia says about self-love.
During the 30 years I've been working with people to help them reach their goals, I've found that one of the greatest obstacles to their success is "emotional clutter." Getting rid of emotional clutter is one of the fastest ways to empower your success. Emotional clutter consists of negative ...
You know what? Every time somebody would do something to hurt me in the past, I would dwell upon it for hours, days, weeks and even months. I would think about that specific situation, about that person and I would imagine all kind of scenarios and in those scenarios I would change that which just happened or I would look for ways to make that person pay for everything. I would poison my mind with all kind of horrible thoughts that would only make me feel more miserable. Yes, I know it’s pretty sick but unfortunately we do this to ourselves.

Having a strong sense of self-accountability is the cornerstone of success and productivity. Self-accountability simply means you are holding yourself responsible for your successes and failures. Most of us feel a sense of accountability towards our managers, co-workers, clients, customers, friends, family, and even society in general. If you are a solopreneur, it is far more difficult to hold yourself accountable.

Every individual develops a way of interpreting the world and what goes on in it. This model establishes how things should or shouldn’t be done and what we believe is possible. For some of us, these mental models severely restrict our potential, our enjoyment of life, and our ability to connect with others. Yet, others have mental models that provide all sorts of positive opportunities. We consider these mental models "reality" and often steadfastly hold on to them even when there is significant evidence that we may be misguided.

3 Steps To Dissolving The Mask of Anger Anger is an emotion that causes us to lose our center and feel out of place. It is a reaction to a situation or experience that can lead us to spin; meaning, incessant thoughts of a drama that we are resisting. Anger is resistance and it has a tendency to take away our presence and our point of center becomes harder to hold. Anger, like all negative emotions, is rooted in fear at its core.
Listening. It's a simple act...one that doesn't get a lot of attention. On T.V. they compete to see who can be seen and heard the most. Same thing on the playground. And in the meeting room. And in the Friday night watering hole. And in Congress. And in the P.T.A. meeting. Guess ...
Hi there everyone!! Our events are always different (innovative and creative), but there’s one common element that is our winning formula. Our community has cool people, and so our parties are full of cool people. Why? What’s so special about the people we know? These are three qualities we have distinguished, which you can employ to better your experience at events. 1. Being Proactive.
Exam Fears & Parental Pressure Drives Students to Drink – Discover simple ways to banish exam stress According to an article in The Metro this week, exam stress and parental pressure are driving many school children to alcohol and self-harming.
Hi there... I know what it's like... I had times when I wasn't happy doing anything that I did. I did some great things, but I was never happy. All I knew is that I wanted to feel better, and whatever I did to try and feel better, didn't work. I felt horrible. Even though others thought I looked good, I felt horrible. I wanted to cry. I cried often. I cried so much that I couldn't cry anymore. I yelled out loud wanting to cry, and I couldn't even cry. And that made me feel even worse. I know what it's like...
The topic of Motivation is easy to talk about, but fairly difficult to invoke on a regular basis. I remember as a kid my parents trying to motivate me to do my homework - something I hated doing. They were able to do it, however, because their "motivation" technique involved the use of spanking as an alte ative, i.e., something I hated even more!
If you've been plagued by a problem in your life, especially if you've had that problem for a long time, you might assume that you'd be eager to get rid of it. You would think so, but actually, when you get right down to it, the contrary is often more true. People get used to having their problem, even though it is uncomfortable and they’d like to get rid of it. You see, they may KNOW how to be depressed, or poor, or sick. Feeling those feelings, although uncomfortable, are familiar. Contemplating something else is a bit scary.
A preponderance of managers and supervisors are overly familiar with long sighs and disheartened groans from their employees when they introduce yet another organizational change or a new initiative. And in the aftershock of a devastating recession, the sighs and groans are turning into fear. While supervisors do not have the authority to reject or the power to deflect organizational change, they do have the opportunity (and, we believe, the specific responsibility) to clearl
A Self Help Article by Shirley Carton © "I NEVER KNEW I WAS BLIND...BUT NOW I SEE." It is easy to lose yourself and your dreams during bleak economic times such as these. Each day the news gives us plenty of reasons to dread the future instead of pursuing our goals and dreams. I say, This is no way to live. You can achieve and fulfill your dreams in any conditions, if you think you can, affirm you can, and believe that you can. When are we going to be ready to make a commitment to change, and stop making excuses ? Blaming everyone else for everything.
There isn’t much we can control in our lives except our attitude and some days even that can be a struggle. Not being able to direct how things are going, or going to go, or what people may do, can frequently be scary for people. As a result they might try to control just about everyone and/or everything in their life. You can’t dictate how long you will live, or if you or someone else will become ill, or whether you or another person will lose his/her job, or home, or if someone moves, or someone asks you to leave, or someone passes away, or even if you can get somewhere on time, etc.r
Hi there everyone!! The multitude of personal development programs available in the market is vast and overwhelming. How do we know which programs are right for us? What can we do to maximize the benefits of a self-improvement course? Here are three steps that I've discovered to be crucial in starting any personal development program: 1. Be Open-Minded It's easy to look at a program and discard it quickly. There are so many options available that we may tend to be too critical or unintentional in our selection criteria.
I once had as an account manager for a dotcom company, back when dotcoms were still new, and just before the bubble burst. I was single at the time, and I worked close to 12-hour days, seven days a week, by choice. I was on a steady diet caffeine, and fast food. I had no time to exercise, and spent most of my free time in front of a television set. I was exhausted all the time, and I never felt fully rested. And even though I was making a decent living, I never felt fulfilled. I became a workaholic.
The "Heart Magic Skills" To A Lasting Love by Maria J. Andrade, M.F.T. There are three basic things we are not taught to do well in life: 1. How to get along with the person we hope to live with the rest of our lives. 2. How to raise healthy, creative, children who have self-respect and respect others. 3. How to deal with stress and anger. These three things make up the civil in a “civilization” which describe individuals considered to have reached a high social development.
The plasticity of your brain can either create new thoughts and new neural pathways, or it can create a deep groove or rut from habits that are difficult to change. When your brain is forming as a fetus and in early childhood, pathways and neural connections are laid down in your body. These neural pathways incorporated what you were experiencing at that time. For example, if your mother was anxious when you were very young, that anxiety would become part of your neural programming.
From a lecture given by Werner Erhard in San Francisco on May 23, 1973 Living is really pretty simple. Living happens right now; it doesn’t happen back then, and it doesn’t happen out there. Living is not the story of your life. Living is the process of experiencing right now. Thinking about right now, figuring it out, perceiving it, arguing, reading about or believing anything about right now – none of these produce any certainty about living.
