Synopsis
Now when you feel the burn, you can locate exactly what is on fire. Strength training expert and journalist Delavier provides extremely detailed instructions and illustrations (male and female) for exercising the arms, shoulders, chest, back, legs, buttocks and abdomen, showing both musculature and bones at each step of the process. He includes instructions on exactly how to position the body and equipment, when to breathe, and how to make the most of each rep. Along with the 115 exercises Delavier explains common injuries from the inside out, along with advice on how to prevent them and recover from them. He includes renderings of major muscle groups and a handy fold-out bookmark to hold your place while you are doing all those dead lifts. While intended for serious strength trainees, the illustrations could also be useful to anyone studying the human anatomy and human kinetics. Annotation © 2006 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR
